WEnakhede is a high scoring six hitting ground. Everybody knows it. But it requires extraordinary crappy bowling to concede 400 here. Buttler is a dumb captain. Only decent bowler on this pitch was Atkinson. He is bowling one over less.

Nobody has stopped anyone from developing dodgy action! ABD looked dodgy when he walks 5 stumps away from off or leg giving no time for bowler to adjust, but we all praise him for what he does (It is difficult to do that in the first place). If dodgy action is difficult to handle then somebody like Paul Adams would have achieved more than Shane Warne...
 
Netherlands must be laughing. On a slightly tacky wicket they kept finding space between bat and pad.

England bowling was poor in 2019 as well. They just had a better batting unit
 
I rate zampa higher than kuldeep and santner ,Kuldeep is getting unnecessary hype ,both zampa and Santner did better tham him till now if you know Klassan Destroyed zampa so I india and NZ should plan B and c also

I rarely miss matches in Bengaluru and Wankhede. Always entertaining games. Chennai is the most boring place as it is harder to bat there.
 
Kuldeep and Santner are better bowlers than Zampa just watch out, Zampa fluff Pakistan insipid tail nothing special

What would be better for Pak? SA has 4 points from 3 and Eng 2 from 3. If its a straight shoot out between Pak and Aus for 4th spot, then Aus looking more likely.
 
Klassen will pulverise Kuldeep and Jadeja batting first. Has previously done that.

Pak bowling is in very poor shape right now. No way they are in contention
 
SA once scored 438 right here on this ground. 3 centuries in all. AB made 119 in 61 balls. Ajinkya Rahane made 87 in 59 balls. but INdia folded under scoreboard pressure for 224 runs.

Ok…so I asked you why can’t Pakistan do the same? If they did the same, then you would have realised the sensation of it. Clearly, you have been devoid of that thrill/sensation of proper hardcore batting as a Pakistan fan. How then can you understand the beauty of fearless cricket?
 
Nature of Indian pitches are open secret. So once you find it is a batting pitch (Ahmedabad, Chinnaswamy, Wankhede) you have to be fearless in your approach.

No they can't. As much as people think 300 plus chases are easy (it isnt), I still don't believe any team can consistently chase such scores due to scoreboard pressure, cooler conditions during evenings which may aid opponent pacers etc.
Dew factor may negate it but it won't be enough.

If they chase then sure full credit to them but against good bowling it will always be hard to do it consistently. One off game max .
 
Watch the bounce that Jansen generates here. It is g oing to steep. Make no mistake. Wankhede offers bounce. SA bowling > England bowling. So they should fancy themselves to defend. But you never know since they have only one spinner.
 
England will probably not make the top 4

90% SA. 10% because of good luck charm Stokes and Joss buttler. Bairstow off color. But he is another guy. But Root can't do much here.
 
Top is almost done InD NZ Aus SA, rest of the games will lose the charm 2 groups of 5 would have been better or 12 teams with 4 groups add WI and Zim more K.os game more fun

Bro, Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe last t20 world cup, England lost to Afghanistan. Teams lose against weaker teams and these types of victories do happen, even India lost a series to bamgaldesh last year lol.

Point isn't winning or losing, point is the way Australia batted yesterday and the way nz and India have been batting the whole tournament and the way south africa usually bats is why their > Us. Pakistan lacks fearless cricket lol.

Even in the 346 game, we always try to take things deep till the end. No one plays fearlessly, Theirs a reason we lack six hitting players. Only fakhar could bat to modern standards but he's out of form now.

I'd be fine with babar or rizwan if only one of them played as we need an anchorer.

Problem is we have 4 anchorers in the top order lol. Its a 1990 era top order that will fail against top teams because every team is playing 2023 cricket.

They need to try and match the SA batsmen

Malan and root 50 ball 60s (which they are capable of) will be good contributions.

Bairstow, Butler, Brook and Livingstone need to go at Klaasen/Jansen rates

Forgot Brook. Brooks sometimes tries to over hit and mistime it. He has to be at top of his game today
 
Match 20 only? Man I've had enough already and we're not even half way through. Cricket does not help itself with these endless 50 over tournaments.
 
My problem with England bowling is moment they realized things are getting out of hand they didn't resort to some defensive bowling like wide yorkers instead of feeding buffet stuffs to Jansen and Klassen.
 
This makes me happy knowing we aren't going to be the only ones conceding 350 plus in this tournament. Such small grounds shouldn't be part of icc tournaments though imo. Little unfair for bowlers. I like the variety in India but this one is too small.

They should watch bumrah and siraj bowl. They were class at death. Siraj prior to world cup looked deadly. Looks slightly off in this WC. Still quality but leaking alot. Somehow does take crucial wickets though.
 
That was just a little flick from Bairstow into the stands, made it look easy, why can't Pak openers do this?

This is an iconic venue. This is where 2011 world cup final happened. Cricket has changed a lot since. But this is still not a 400 venue. There was once SA made 438.
