Ya thats true bro babar needs to be proactive and bring usama in place of hassan ali and go with spinners i guess that venue might suite pak.Depends which bowlers they pick - I would have dropped Hasan Ali for Mir. It’s possible to get few key wickets early and put them in choke mood, even bowling first; but for that Babar has to show big heart - May be risk conceding 360+ it it back fires, but he has to attack with spinners and get wickets, to restrict SAF under 275. His usual moods operandi will cost 330+ every time.
Babar has to get a hundred (& hope that Imam gets out early….)Ya thats true bro babar needs to be proactive and bring usama in place of hassan ali and go with spinners i guess that venue might suite pak.
So you reckon pak can contaim them with spinners it wont be anything like delhi right?
If Imam gets a 100, advantage opposition.Babar has to get a hundred (& hope that Imam gets out early….)
Even in IPL average score at Delhi is 162 over a course of 84 matches. To concede 400 plus on this ground requires some hitting. SA had more than few of them.
What a prediction! Is it just me or is this South African batting looking deadly? I could see them give some spinners a real bad beating across the next few weeks.
Would not shock me to see them score 400 at some point during this tournament.
Seems like when SA in the zone they score big.Highest World Cup totals:
428 South Africa v Sri Lanka today
417 Australia v Afghanistan in 2015
413 India v Bermuda in 2007
411 South Africa v Ireland in 2015
408 South Africa v W Indies in 2015

YA true bro gotta go with attacking option someone like harris not imamIf Imam gets a 100, advantage opposition.
Watch them crumble later stages of world cup wont be surprised if they choke again vs pak.Seems like when SA in the zone they score big.
True, but that being said -- I bumped into Mujeeb Al Rahman from Afghanistan about 10 days ago in Dubai airport. He told me that the pitches being used for the WC will be more batting-friendly than typical IPL seasons. He seems really concerned haha. He said 350 should be the norm
Lets see how they handle world cup pressure in later part of the tournament.I think South Africa looks vulnerable when they chase. When they set, they are wild
This sl team look lost on confidence. This side got rolled over for 51 runs. Very poor side.
They just have to keep batting first regardless of the result. They will have better chance. Having said the same side including Nortje was beaten by India's C string side in the ODI series here.Lets see how they handle world cup pressure in later part of the tournament.
You are not worried their match vs pak?Too much score
So bro you think chasing will be their downfall against spinners on a spinning wicket? They just have to keep batting first regardless of the result. They will have better chance. Having said the same side including Nortje was beaten by India's C string side in the ODI series here.
ON this very same ground last october SA against INdia
So bro you think chasing will be their downfall against spinners on a spinning wicket?
Well we still have few more matches before facing SA let's see how our team performsYou are not worried their match vs pak?
Indian players struggle against swing. Not so much against bounce. Our performance was always decent in Australia and yesteryears' West indies pitches but poor in England & New Zealand. For Pakistan, the reverse is true. They played well in swinging/seaming conditions (England & NZ) but are poor in bouncier conditions. Of course individual players may have different weaknesses but in general this is the case.Indian pitches seem worse than Pakistan's. Absolute phatta pitches, no wonder even their so called big players struggle with a bit more bounce and any swing... Kholi is exception
Ya true that every world cup brings different type of matches.Chasing on any wicket is going to be a problem for SA knowing their history. But teams don't work on theories. Just because other SA teams failed while chasing we can't automatically assume they will collapse. New world cup. New match. Remember in 2015 semi final they lost defending the total. That too Dale Steyn was taken apart.
So sl is not a big team anymore?Well we still have few more matches before facing SA let's see how our team performs
And also SA against big teams
Bro they got mendis and kusal still on crease.Heck i don't even feel like watching the match This is like watching a movie with twist ending after someone telling what the twist is.
SL is not a major force now as it used to beSo sl is not a big team anymore?
Bro they got mendis and kusal still on crease.
Sri Lanka would wish it's one of those movies with a twist where it is revealed it was all a dream, or a nightmare in this case....Heck i don't even feel like watching the match This is like watching a movie with twist ending after someone telling what the twist is.
I remember thinking he was decent when he first came on the scene but what does Ngidi really bring to the table??
He has a pretty good record against SL. But if they had Nortje this guy would not have played.I remember thinking he was decent when he first came on the scene but what does Ngidi really bring to the table??
What’s the situation with NortjeHe has a pretty good record against SL. But if they had Nortje this guy would not have played.
Injury. Ruled out of world cup. What’s the situation with Nortje
Oh damb.Injury. Ruled out of world cup.
This Kusal Perera used to be Jayasurya 2.0...
SL still prolly going to lose by 200 odd runs but atleast Mendis has landed a punch for them tonight
