Is there any other leader in our history who won 5 seats? and that too in 3 different provinces and Capital Islamabad? (except Imran Khan)

He was contesting on 5 different seats from Punjab, Sindh, KP & Islamabad and looks like he ended up winning all of them.

Credit goes to the agencies aswell. Atleast thank them

hussain.r97 any idea who came close to this record?

Lets hope he is a Prime Minister for whole of Pakistan, and takes the bold steps seriously required in places like , Balochistan, South Punjab, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan.

I do think there was some rigging/ and significant establishment bias towards IK.

These complaints should be investigated by the ECP fairly and impartially.

But I don't think it is productive for other parties to ''boycott'' results. We need to help build a stronger democracy and by causing these types of problems, we are only giving into the boots.

The public has selected IK as our new PM. I don't support PTI and have significant policy differences with this party, but he is our PM now. We have to see how the next five years unfold. I just hope there are no dharnas or other such situations which could give the military a stronger hand to interfere.

Everyone I know in Karachi (relatives, friends, friends of relatives) who previously voted PPP or MQM all voted for PTI.

The feedback i’ve had from the ground is that people flocked together in droves to vote for PTI.

Also, and more importantly, the hard done by poor people came out to vote for PTI...

All the news channels concentrated on rigging and the ECP and what they didn’t highlight were the street parties that were breaking out in support of PTI.

I think that's a first in terms of 4 territories. Zulfiqar Bhutto was the only one before him to have won 5 seats. In the 1970 election, he won from Lahore, Multan, Larkana, Hyderabad, and Thatta - 5 seats, 2 provinces.

Therefore, in some aspects, IK terming his election campaign as having a wave like the 1970 one is true. :)

If i am not wrong Bhutto lost to Mufti Mehmood in KP? Great result and wave!

Exactly.

I was astounded when I got to the polling station and people were all discussing voting for Bat. I had been sure that except for my friends, this was a safe MQM seat. Not at all. MQM has been garbage since they joined with PPP, then they betrayed Altaf.

For a lot of people, that was the worst thing they did. Altaf supporters will never vote this MQM who betrayed their party leader. I never liked MQM, but even I can admit that this MQM betrayed the person who created the party, and who did a lot for Muhajirs early on. He's not mentally well, but these people wanted power, so never tried to stop him. In the end, after Murdabad, they had to step away. They betrayed Altaf after goading him to do more and more antics.

PSP is the worst, since a certain person is a murderer of his own uncle. The rest are also mass murderers and caused the Baldia fire. In fact, the people left in MQM are actually the Shareef wing of the party.

Add to that them doing nothing, and it wasn't establishment, but people annoyed

The establishment was supposed to be "biased" - and openly helping, at least with PTI we don't talk of such "open help" - the likes of PSP in Karachi, 'jeep' in Punjab and GDA in Sindh, all to attack/eat away the vote-bank of traditional parties.

How many seats did they get, despite all having established names ?

As for rigging, Imran Khan was literally the one to do dharnas (generally mocked by others) against dhandli. Also, poll rigging is generally done by a party which has been in power, for functional reasons. The EU mission has qualified these elections to be "satisfactory".

PSP got 100% establishment support. They are the Ghundas from MQM who should be in jail for everything. Instead, MQM's lesser known people who, despite being petty thieves, weren't murderers were gone after and PSP murderers have gotten off scot-free. Let's hope they now get to visit jail.

PSP, with all the support, with all the machinery of MQM, made TLP look like a popular party, let alone MQM and PTI. End of PSP

Regardless he can only take one seat as far as i know and I heard on a show that he lost the other ones in by polls last time so lets see how it goes this time around..

bye elections are always won by the ruling govt.

IK 5, Parvez Elahi 2.
Is there any other candidate who has won from 2 constituencies in GE-18.

Congrats guys. I am genuinely happy with this. I swear this could be def. better than status quo. I know many doubters are there. But deep down I think :ik will be better kaptaan. What he has said in last couple of years, and he sounded extreme, but it could well be just a politics to win some support. He will be different PM than what many critics are claiming him to be.
