A recent tweet sent out by Pakistan Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir showed a distorted picture of Imran Khan apparently flirting with the wife of General Sir Nicholas Carter, who happens to be chief of the British Armed Forces.

The distorted picture tweet captioned “Worth a thousand words (or Blackberry messages)” sent out a wave of resentment in the PTI leadership based in the UK.

Outraged by the viral tweet, Sahibzada Jahangir who is a senior adviser to Imran Khan on foreign trade and investment from Europe conducted a press conference which was aired on a TV channel in the UK.

During the press conference, Sahibzada clarified that the picture that had gone viral was distorted. He also tweeted the original photo of the table where Sahibzada himself was seated between Imran Khan and General Sir Nicholas Carter. Standing behind were Sahibzada’s son and his two daughters-in-law.

He also revealed Sir Carter’s plan of visiting Pakistan along with a powerful military delegation to hold talks over the Afghanistan issue.

Sahibzada questioned Khurram Dastgir as to how he will face the British army general after bringing his wife into this fabricated episode.

The tweet was later deleted by Khurram Dastgir.

He knows its just two people talking at a dinner. But these guys are so politically evil that they know how to rile up the average Pakistani citizen. In Pakistan, even talking like this can be viewed with a suspicious, negative view.

Imran has a lot of charisma and wit so anything he says to a lady will probably make her smile.

To crictise this must be the height of desperation from his political opponents.

ok so Imran in his mid 60s still got access and can flirt with all these beautiful and vip ladies but still he fall for Gul a lie and send dirty to text messages to her? I wonder how our defense minister is going to face chief of the British Armed Forces in upcoming talks after this tweet about his wife.

It would be ignored if some random troll on Twitter was trying to bag some RTs with a provocative caption.

However, this fool is Pakistan's Defence Minister! He's making the country a laughing stock with this sort of nonsense.

Original tweet is sufficiently ambiguous. Defense minister did not use the "flirt" word so no point in "clarifying" that IK was not flirting.

Maybe they had to respond as a guilty conscience needs no accuser.

Yes. You would hope that the Defence minister has a mature mind and isnt jealous of a 60 year old who has got more game than he ever did :))

Thank God our defence ministers are puppets anyway and Army has the real control. With clowns like this in charge you can only be glad

Then why did he feel the need to delete it? Why not clarify that he was innocently commenting and coincidentally put "or Blackberry messages" in brackets (perhaps he is simply a Blackberry fan, but now we'll never know). :(

He obviously tried to be oversmart to show he is a "Wafadar" of Nawaz Sharif but became a laughing stock.

His father was another dirty character who badly insulted Mohatrma Fatima Jinah.

And good to see usual culprits even defending this....AMAZING!!!

The guy is blessed with good looks, even now when hes an OAP. It's the ladies that want to chat to him rather than him looking for it.
