Since you are discussing the issue from an Islamic point of view so let's discuss it from Islam.
It is a grave sin to remind someone of their sins from their past life and a person should refrain from it lest Allah punishes them with humiliation in this world and the next.
Imran Khan committed many sins in the past and it is not from Islam to remind you of them.
From an unIslamic and Secular point of view, it's nobody's business what he did or does in his personal life!
Happy to discuss the issue with you from Islamic or Secular point of view, pick your stance and make a point!
Now, let's get back to the issue.
What dishonesty has he committed with regards to Pakistan?
So you admit that Imran has committed a lot of sins in the past. Thats a good start.
Now hear me out please. If you admit that he has committed a lot of sins in the past, then please don’t advertise his honesty and morality because it’s clearly contradictory.
Furthermore, if we accept that he is a changed man now, that is fine, but a changed man would take ownership of his past mistakes. He would not deflect them.
If Imran was a changed person, he would have the guts to admit that he had a daughter born out of wedlock. Even today, Imran doesn’t have the courage to admit it because of the consequences, even though everyone knows the reality.
Turning to God when you enter old age means nothing. Everyone does that. I don’t see many 70 year olds partying but I see many of them in mosques with a cap on their heads and tasbeeh in their fingers.
When you have one foot in the grave, you naturally turn to God, but the real value lies in how you live your life in your youth, because that is when it is most difficult to control your desires and abstain from what has been forbidden for you.
Where was Imran’s love for Islam and Allah SWT when he was sleeping around with women and drinking and partying his youth and taking full advantage of his money and fame?
How convenient is it that when he retired and decided to become a politician, he suddenly had this “spiritual awakening” and became a pious Muslim?
It’s all a drama. It’s an act that was performed out of necessity because it is what sells in Pakistan. Imran could not have become a successful politician and won the support of the masses while adopting the same lifestyle that he had in his youth.
As far as not reminding him of his past, well that is what he has done all his political life - reminding people about their past, so why won’t it apply to him? That’s the problem with him and his supporters - they don’t believe that the same rules that he applies on others apply to him as well.
In terms of what dishonesty he has committed towards Pakistan, surely this must be a troll question because where do I start and where do I end?
He got close to shady businessmen like Jahangir Tareen and took advantage of their black money as sponsorship for his party.
He opened the doors to failed, corruption politicians with large vote banks so that he could take capitalize on their votes and become the PM.
He enticed violence in the masses by encouraging them to defy law and order and engage in vandalism.
He brought the country to its knees in 2014 before he used the APS attack to exit his flop Azadi March after it had ran its course.
He has caused the death of so many people as part of his protests while his own sons where hiding in the UK.
What more damage could he have caused to Pakistan?
