India 12 Pakistan 0 in all World Cup events

Someone should change the thread title to 10-0 please, a reminder of how crap we have been against India and also to acknowledge the greatness of this streak.

Yep, would have been a huge upset if pak won. 10-0 to India what a record, Lesnar will have to play for Pakistan to end that streak. 10-0 is incredible, greatest streak in the history of any kind of profesional sport including sports entertainment :afridi

Lol yeah, I wonder whose gonna be the 1 in x and 1.

Pakistan definitely needs Brock Lesnar to break the streak this time.

#GreenRoars

bhaijaan, thread title update kar dein. Shukriya.

Lets make it 11-0

Best chance for Pak is always going to be in T20. Better break it soon else just like the ODI streak, this streak will start becoming a psychological king-kong on the Pak players backs...

11-0 coming up and this time it's going to be in Dharmsala. Afridi gonna be buried again. The streak continues :afridi

Brace yourselves 11-0 coming up in a months time. Are you ready Bilal7 Syed1 :misbah

I think if ever Pakistan had a chance to get this camel of their back.....the WT20 is the best shot thanks to the random nature of this format....UAE almost beat Srilanka today so anything can happen.

10-0 is an awesome streak the way it is and won't be too surprised if it is broken....6-0 is the bigger deal :)

10-1 sounds nice too :)

I don't mind if pakistan beats us in the asia cup but the streak should be kept alive.
It is one of the greatest streaks in sports between two fierce rivals. It's in it's 24th year running! legendary!

2003 World Cup was probably the most feeble.....runs on the board, brilliant bowling attack and yet still couldn't defend the total. As soon as India bats first in any of these ICC events...you just know what the result is going to be.

The decline of Dhoni and Yuvraj has made India like the Undertaker of 2014, a pale shadow of a once great force. The addition of Amir and resurrection has made Pakistan the Brock Lesnar of 2014, an unstoppable beast hungry for success.

I think everyone knows how that turned out.

The bigger deal is the overall W/L ratio, not a half dozen matches that have only resulted in one more WC for India.

We will keep the Streak :sachin.....You can keep the Kitplys and Cool Cools :butt:malik

One more WC means a lot considering the fact that 2 teams have dominated these tournaments one during the first half of it's history and the other during the 2nd phase of it's history

We lead in odis and tests for that matter. In 92 they beat us but we won the cup. In 99 they beat us but we reached the final.

But ok is baar ghar mein ghus ke marain ge.

The World cup wins for India have largely been meaningless in the sense that apart from 2011 they have never even got near enough to sniff the winner's trophy.

The only 'Win' even of any value was 2011.....in the proper world cup where the victory allowed them to progress.

The rest of this t20 garbage and champions trophy and god knows what else mickey mouse tournaments doesn't count.

1983??? Win against probably the most dominant ODI side ever???

2003-Lost to probably the greatest ODI side of this generation???

So don't know what exactly you mean or maybe I didn't understand your post

At what point for the 83 world cup did India play Pakistan!?!?!?!?!?

The fact is that these so called world cup 'wins' that Indian fans lust after have been worthless because none of them apart from 2011 victory has resulted in them lifting the trophy.

India has won 10 against us in the 2 wcs
But yet they have won just one more WC than us
.

10-0 is fine if fans want to chant it, but it's a MUCH less bigger deal than it sounds like.

1992 WC: Pakistan won the WC, so who cares?
1996 WC: India knocked Pakistan out of the WC, this one matters
1999 WC: Pakistan reached final, India went home. Who cares?
2003 WC: India beat Pakistan, and made it difficult for us to qualify. This one kinda matters
2007 T20 WC: India beat Pakistan in final, this one matters.
2011 WC: India beat Pakistan in semis, this one matters.
2015 WC: India beat Pakistan in group stage, both still qualified to knockout stage. Had we won, we may have gotten as easier QF slot, so this one kind of matters.

I can just remember these, but I guess I'm missing a few games somewhere. I'm sure any Indian fan here can remind me :))

Of these, 3 games really did matter while the others mattered as much as any other India-Pakistan match does.

Congrats on this empty, hollow "streak". I am much happier with a dominant superior overall record, which includes the streak and much more

Bhai they lifted the trophy all 10 times because for India, beating Pakistan >>>> than winning the trophy. There is a special trophy made for India for beating Pakistan, this is the pinnacle of Indian cricket.

30th March 2011 they day that still hurts me...donty really care about others be it 2015 WC or 2012 t20 WC (maybe 2007 t20 WC final hurts a little too but we won a WC 2 years later which healed it )

Yeah that and 1996 are the only ones I really cared about. It's one thing being beaten by a better team, but when you lose to an inferior opponent it's hard to get over. 1996 Pakistan team was probably twice as good as India, but Jadeja played an unexpected gem and then Sohail and Anwar gave it away just as Pakistan was looking to chase the total down in 35 overs. 2011 too, the teams were more evenly matched but Pakistan dropped Tendulkar 4 times and he's really the only one who scored.

Indiscipline on both occasions robbed Pakistan of being deserving and decisive winners.

Oh Ok in the context of Ind-Pak matches.....

Well 2003 we qualified for the final...Pak game was a super 8 game...a must win for Pak and winning that game helped us meet Kenya in the semis which helped us reach the final......so isn't that close enough for you?

2011 well you already acknowledged that

2015-started our momentum and made us the team that took 10 wickets and remain undefeated in every single game till the Semi finals

2007-Well don't need to revisit that.....also yeah T20 might be garbage and circus but any cricket follower who doesn't acknowledge the significance of that day in September and what it means to the modern game is ignorant.....that game changed teh face of modern cricket single handedly.

Now well I agree that rest of the T20 games are pretty meaningless so I won't count our finals in 2014 where we did beat pak in the league stages.

My heart sank that night , I cried for about an hour than just logged In on Fb and saw Indians having a field day ,mocking Pakistan and all such stuff u expect from them was an awful feeling to say the least , 2 days latter feeling got even worse when India won the WC

It happens.......I was too young to remember the Miandad 6 but the Chennai test was a heart breaking moment for most fans here including me.....If I had an option,I am willing to trade a couple of meaningless T20 WC victories(not 2007 :msd )to get that one back atleast :)

My first Ind-Pak World cup match was Mohali 2011, that hurt me so much and it still hurts me to this day but it will remain my most favourite cricket match ever. I even remember both lineups. wickets and scores of each batsman.

Yeah though I didn't cry I was pretty disappointed. Best is to avoid social media after such matches, it brings out the worst in people :)) I saw some of that BS on social media too, but none of my Indian friends made any stupid remarks like that. All cricket fans realize what the game means to us.

That is quite a remarkable streak. Got to be some kind of record surely between the top teams.

Yeah that Chennai test hurt me big time as well. That was my first match live in stadium and the heart breaking was too much to take .
Thankfully I was a kid so got over it quickly .
Only other time I felt worse was during the 2003 WC final when Ponting and co smashed us .Still haven't forgotten Ganguly for bowling first lol

The nice thing about the streak is that it saves labor... on youtube you can do a search India Pakistan World Cup and just click on any result, no need to spend time deciding which one to watch, it is all good... unless of course you are a Pakistani, in which case it is all... :)

We could easily have won World 2011 SF. Indian batting had collapsed and they were under so much pressure. Only if our batsmen had held their nerves while chasing. It was disappointing.

As an Indian, I would rate the CT win in England more than that of 2011 World cup win. Both our batting and bowling were top notch in that tourney.
And the most disappointing matches were 2003 world cup finals and 2014 T20 final where Yuvraj choked us out.

Lol it's just a game dude. Both India and Pakistan have plenty of trolls, India more so due to its large population. Do you think Pakistanis would've been silent had Pakistan won that match. It's frigging facebook for christ's sake. It's where all the trolls gather:asif

Dude in the 5 years since it's happened I've maybe looked at its scorecards 5 times. I still haven't warched the full highlights of it.

This is the most amazing thread in the history of online forums.

So much history here dating back to 2011.

So many heroes who've come and gone.

So many posters who've come and gone.

But so much pain to relish on :)))

11-0 coming up. Indian fans prepare for celebrations and Pakistani fans please prepare your excuses well :srini

T20 is the only format where they have done better than us but guess what? We've been a much better T20 WC team than them.

It's a garbage streak that means abosulutely nothing. Two of those losses resulted in you getting sent home earlier than us and out of the remaining four, only the 2011 loss actually hurts.

We will keep our bragging rights over you that proves our dominace over our talentless neighbors. :hafeez2

Agree with 1996 but India was a hot favorite along with Australia to win the WC in 2011. Pakistan actually surprised everyone by topping the group and reaching the SF. I watched the game and then the highlights of the 2011 game multiple times. Raina was the reason Pakistan lost it. As soon as the score was above 250, you could sense the game was going to be tough for Pakistan.

Yeah keeping in mind the two teams are supposed to be intense rivals, this is pretty amazing. Just so much like the Undertaker drama in Manias. I mean it happens lie once in 2-4 years, suddenly all the build up and tension and then Pakistan crumbles like a pack of cards on the day it matters. Tendulkar getting man of the match in many of those games. Just amazing i myself had a first hand experience of the atmosphere in 2011 Mohali, i can sincerely claim there hasn't ever been a match that's resulted in such epic eruption from fans across the roads and streets.

Yeah of course something wont matter when you are at the receiving end. So where are the teams ranked in all 3 formats again?

I don't think there has ever been an epic domination between two fiercest rivals across any sport.

It's like Brazil and Argentina facing each other in the FIFA world cup and one of the teams ending up victorious every single time they meet. The other team has a superior record in international friendlies though:srini

Those are some deluded idiots.

Winning the Semi would have meant zilch if we had lost to Srilanka in Mumbai. The wining the cup was what made the semi final win far more sweeter .

The whole country was obsessed with winning the world cup for so many reasons .It was 28 years since we won,Sachin's last chance etc. So to say they didn't care about losing final has be some really Pak obsessed kids .

The celebration when we won the final was the craziest atleast in Chennai .

Funny you said Chennai. One of them was from Chennai and was working part time with us. All he said was..I'm OK losing the final buy can't bear Pakistan winning the final in Mumbai.

4 matches is too few a number to matter a lot. The loss in the Mohali semi-final is the only one that we care about correcting.

Stop clutching at straws and bringing current rankings into this. We are talking history here.

This is going to be 10-1 bar some major miracle.

I was hopeful at the end of the day that the result would be right for me for the first time since watching in 1992

I was shocked by the ridiculous fielding which had me fuming

I was shocked by Hafeez, Shafiq, Younis and Razzaq dismissals

Our batsmen constantly bottle it in the Indo-Pak games in World Cups.

This game reminded me of Bangalore 1996: a great batting start and stupid batting thereafter.

On the biggest day of them all, my country and team let me down.

After all the other defeats, I said- next time. I don't care too much now about next times as we are beaten in the head-mentally- before we play India in the World Cup.

I thought it didn't mean as much to me: until I went upstairs, talked to my girlfriend and burst into tears.

Pakistan, I love you...but learn to love me too. :(

Except me and carrom_ball no other Indian fan is confident of our chances against pakistan.
All have run away first defeat

If we win the toss and ball first than I back Amir, Irfan & Wahab to win it InshaAllah for us and break the streak.

Our batting has to handle pressure this time.

I think, IND lost to PAK in a CT match at Birmingham, sometimes in 2004 (MoYo scoring 88).

Typical Northie exuberance :afridi

The Chennai guys here seem to think they need to reverse jinx the obvious.

India to beat Pakistan, run over Aus, Bang and win the T20 Championship vs Choke Africans :kohli

History is going to repeat itself. 11-0. Hate to admit it, but Kohli thrives in the pressure situations and the only way to beat India is by giving them out of date ras malai the night before. Other than that, it's all doom and gloom for boom boom.

We're going to lose.

The Bangladesh win was key because our NRR is good enough to sustain a close loss to India.

Let's look at the factors in their favor...

1) Playing at home (crowd/pitch/ground knowledge)
2) Won 10/11 matches
3) Pitch will most likely be flat (which they dominate on)
4) Already beat Pakistan last month
5) Better team on paper as well

No sane cricket fan could say Pakistan has a real chance. We just have to avoid getting smashed and losing big.
