India [163/3] beat New Zealand [156/9] by 7 runs in the 5th T20I, win series 5-0

Wow this is surely a mental block. This Indian XI is no way a team that you would expect to thrash NZ this way in their backyard.
 
Thakur is so well-mannered, trying his best to gift the match for his MOM award.

It wasn't really a thrashing to be honest. Could well have been 2-2 coming in to this game had New Zealand not played like headless chickens in WEL and HAM.
 
Does not look good for NZ when an inexperienced side like india is dominating them ..Come on NZ pull a game back for your supporters

You don't need to worry so much for them. They'll make it count where it matters most. India will keep their fans happy with these bilateral series wins.

Actually i have been expecting an over like this against Dubey since i saw him bowl first time. Everyone allowed him to get away.An aging Taylor has shown others how to do against pie throwers like him
 
Even Mumbai don't Dube to bowl in SMAT that much but team India wants to turn 120kph bowler into all-rounder.
 
Thank you Taylor for giving a rubbish bowler this treatment. Hope he never plays for india again, thank God it happened in an inconsequential game.
 
Dube LOL, time we stop trying to create all-rounders just for the sake of it. Thank you NZ for ending his career, please give reality check to Chahal/Thakur as well.

Winning semis is not end of it all. I would have been happy if they had won the World Cup.. anyway finally they should win this and make us fans happy
 
People slating Dube should know that their beloved Hardik ‘Sobers’ Pandya has an average of 16.33 and highest score of 33 from 40 matches. So not exactly a bad replacement in terms of batting.😂😂😂

Also, looks like Washington Sunder is out of plans now as well. Doesn't inspire confidence.

Now, only if Thakur get booted out somehow, it would be perfect for WC...

Compared to Dube, Pandya is Garfield Sobers, Vijay Shankar like Imran Khan. Can't believe I am saying this but looking at this team I am missing Shankar who at least played significant role in couple of Team India's victories.

Pandya’s highest score in T20I’s is a great 33 out of 40 matches. So not exactly an improvement.

He didn't exactly get enough chances Don't go by stats. He scored 40 runs in 20 balls against Australia in the world cup match against Australia. Dubey will never do that. Last time when INdia toured smashed 44 in 21 balls and produced a match winning cameo
 
I think Bumrah will use his outswinger to right handers in Test matchces. HE is not using outswingers in ODIs at all

That Australia knock was in ODI not T20. Different format. Dhawan is a beast in ODI but not so good in T20. Hardik hasn’t much in T20 internationals.

Who cares. It is about ability. If anything Pandya will be more deadly in T20. In the IPL he made 91 in 33 balls or so in an impossible situation

Lol. Even over-the-hill Dhoni smacks bowlers in IPL. International T20 is what matters. And he hasn’t done zilch till now with his batting.

Because his highest score is just 33 out of 40 matches with 16 as average. If he could, he already would have. And format matters as I gave the example of Dhawan.

Yes,a lot of loose deliveries. If he would have bowled before fall of previous wicket, he would have got the treatment.

That is a stale argument. May be openers played most of the balls. We are talking about ability. He smashed SA fast bowlers in SA in a Test match. You are not giving any reason why you think he would fail.
 
NZ need few big hits now. Bumrah and Saini have a couple of overs shared in them.

That innings was one of the greatest ever for India - it was on par with Azhar mehmood's effort in 1999 or so in SA , only difference being azhar's effort resulted in win and was backed up by one of the best bowling attacks ever in the game, from Pak.

We are talking performances on the field in specific format. I am pretty sure Dube has also smoked lot of sixes in Domestic, IPL and in A tours. So there is no question in his ability too. What you do in the international cricket is what matters. And you can’t slate Dube and then hype up Hardik who hasn’t done much than him in the same format. It takes lot of time to develop a hard-hitting all-rounder.

No Dhoni does not smack any bowler in IPL. No need to invent facts to defend the mediocrity that is Dhoni in T20s.

Don't believe me? Look up Dhoni's IPL number.

No Dubey did zilch in the IPL. Pandya had the second highest strike rate last season in the iPL after Russell. He was the second most MVP. Yes Indian selection is based on IPL. Handsown he is the cleanest striker in INdia lower down the order. Can't beleive you are comparing him with this useless guy

When did NZ become our bunnies in this format. Not too long ago we were their bunnies having lost every match to them.
