India (166/3) defeat England (164/6) in the second T20I to level series 1-1

India want attacking Rahul in t20 team who attack from 1st ball which he was used to when he came in team but nowday his game regressed badly .
 
Stokes averages 18 with the bat and 37 with the ball in T20I
 
India has got aggressive batsmen like KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw, Shubhman Gill but still open with Dhawan in T20s !

Difficult to digest that.

Dhoni was an equally poor keeper when he started and was on the verge of being dropped as he was so poor against Kumble p
 
Stokes has singlehandedly lost England this game. It's been a horrible tour for him, all things considered. In hindsight, Morgan should have bowled Rashid earlier and the English bowlers should have been taking the pace off the ball.
 
Ishan Kishan was always very good against spin right from his U19 days. But he has really improved his game against pace in the last 2-3 years.

Kishan looks like a much better prospect in T20's than Pant bro. We don't need 3 wicketkeeper batsman in a T20 team anyway. Only two out of Rahul, Kishan and Pant should play. :inti

MI: Rohit, Kishan, Pandya, SKY
DC: Iyer, Dhawan, Pant, Akshar
 
Can someone remind me the last T20 series India lost? Think against Eng in 2018. We are super consistent on this format.
 
KL Rahul is probably the best T20 batsman for India. So him failing with no Rohit playing it is a good sign. India has to get the combination right.

Nobody could play slow ball. Isan is the only one who has done that well because he waits for the slower ones. Also he has played plenty of domestic cricket without break. It helps.
 
All our youngsters play fearless cricket as we have seen in Australia tour as well. Its the oldies like Dhawan, Kohli, Rahand etc plays conservative brand fearing their reputation.
 
Isan kishan's runs should be treated as bonus. He is a fierce striker. It might or might not come off. But when it comes off it is going to be match winning.

Who is better between Pant and Kishan in T20s? Shouldn't we play only one out of these two? :inti
 
Good knock on debut. Looks decent, will have to see how he carries on from here as for any youngster the continuous development of his game at international level is the key as opposition teams will also keep on working on strategies with regards to his strengths and weaknesses.

Lol, what is with India and wicket-keeper batsmen? I believe they went in with four during the last ODI WC. Rahul, Pant, Karthik and Dhoni.

Pretty much all players who try to score quick are leg side hacks. Even the accomplished ones like Ross Taylor. Yuvraj singh, Ben stokes, Pant.
 
Kishan is a proper T20 hack. Better suited to this format than KL "Poor man's Babar" Rahul.
 
Virat is key for india Chase .he can hold one end while other can play natural game

They should have have sent SKY instead of Pant. Looking at the RRR dont think we will see SKY bat in this match as these 2 can easily take India home with minimum risks.

I used to feel the same which is why preferred Pant over Kishan. But Kishan has improved since then and is a kind of player that fits completely in Indian T20 setup.
