India [178/3] beat Pakistan [172/10] by seven wickets in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup semi-final

7. Khushdil Shah.
8. Mohammad Asghar.

Would love to see this team will be a very competitive match and I think Pakistan should win if they set out a team similar to this.

I think, no one has given any importance to this tournament, which is unfortunate. We have moved into money driven cricket world where no one has much time for those not yet star, while few like me will spend some time today to follow young players, among whom next stars should come.
 
Man, I hope this is televised. I remember at the last emerging cup, all of India’s games were televised.
 
Our trundlers wasted 2 overs and score none. These batsmen are even worse than our current batch.
 
Another trundler gone!!! India will not chase not even 100. Our batsmen are just rubbish
 
Players from this group should find it tougher to adjust in SRL wickets after playing at Karachi. I don't think such shared venue is a good idea for tournament.
 
Whole bunch of our players are extremely timid. These players are not good enough to represent in any international teams.
 
Was looking forward to Shahibzada Farhan playing against us today after hearing great things about him on this forum. Played very well against HK and UAE

I can speak for Indian team. This is not even a India B team. Only ones to watch out for are our bowlers - pacers Ankit Rajpoot and Shivam Mavi and leg spinner Mayank Markande. We also have our u-19 captain Smran Singh playing.

After what I saw apart from Rizwan all over over hyped players and don't have any talent what so ever in batting. All are pure rubbish. They can play well against associate teams in flat tracks.

Agree. Some new names like Atit Sheth, Shams Mulani etc. I've heard more about Asghar, Saud Shakeel, Shahibzada, Saad Ali, Hussain Talat, Musa etc. I guess that's the side effect of being on a Pakistani forum. lol

Also, I believe Shivam Mavi has been rested.

I know, wrote somewhere that IND A is touring New zealand. From such tournaments not many players are expected either - just couple of new players making National team is more than satisfactory.
 
Zeeshan has 12 of 26, which isn't bad considering the start, but it's 23 dots & 3 X 4, which is a bit alarming. May be Indians have put almost a Test like field, and blocking every single - it's 4 or dot.

All the Indian squad is quite well known in our domestic circles.
 
I have heard the name Ankit Rajpoot - I think he plays in IPL for some team. Also Shivam Mavi from the U19s. Other than these, I have no idea who these others are.
 
Lol Indians acting like they dont know any of the players in their team when myself being a pakistan have heard of shivam mavi, siddharth desai, ankush bains, ankit rajpoot, prabhsimran singh etc :ashwin

No, he relies on boundaries for his runs. Very poor strike rotator. Just see his domestic innings stats.
 
As expected Zeesan is another hype player. Even Shehzad has better strike than him.

Looks like both BD & PAK is in a tight race - bandook vi daga dia or kutte ko chora, kavi goli age to kavi kutte.

3 down each and it was LIKE - P0B1; P1B1; P2B1; P2B2; P2B3 - now P3B3

Nurul was actually back up WK before Liton hit that hundred, while I hope Shafiul has played his last game for national team. Naeem has a great future - started Test career with a 5for, Mosaddek will come back in national team, and Nazmul played couple of games in Asia cup. Apart from them, Yasir should make Test team, and Zakir is one of the brightest batsman in junior ranks. Tanvir might play for BD, but competition for SLAO spinner spot is huge. There is a teenager kid, left arm pacer, around 6'4", but I haven't seen him much. Mizan is playing well today, but don't think he is anywhere near national team.

More or less, this is genuine emerging team, because apart from Nurul (who is also around 25) & Shafiul, rest squad are quite young.
 
Now P4 - Saad Ali is disappointing, he was one step away from a Test cap.

Well this is not a test match, test cap should be based off performances in domestic test matches not these type of odi tournaments

His List A stats are even more impressive - 47/85 after 50 odd games.
 
Rizwan definitely deserves a chance in SAF ODI, guy is scoring non stop in last 2-3 months and his Keeping is better than Sarfraz.
 
India has an unbelievable vision for future. They always play new and talented player. Aim is not to win but to give exposure to new talent. On the other hand we recycling all old hacks and the guys who have no future. We want to win every tom, dick harry tournament. No future vision
 
This is India B team really. India A just whitewashed NZ-A in NZ 3-0 couple of days back. Most of these guys wont play for India barring Shivam Mavi, Markhande, Rajpoot maybe.
 
Its not a bad idea to play our national squad to see if we can win against this Indian emerging side. There is a light way distance between India and Pakistan in terms of talent.Rizwan should replace Sarfraz.

But the current bunch of our emerging players are not old hacks. All are relatively new hacks. That's the shocking part
 
Two guys with LA averages of 50+ batting together. Neither one of them in the team, and neither will be in the squad for the WC (barring a Sarfraz injury).

Just sad.
 
Best talent Saud is playing on 29 from 50 balls. If this is the best talent. We are doomed. Mediocre batsman

his strike rate is 75 now .23 year who is yet to make a debut for pakistan and there is pp expert who already called him medicore .his slow batting is justify giving we were 4 down inside 100

He is a proper spinner who can bat but his bowling consists of darts and fast darts.
 
Saudis playing brilliantly - if he can get a 100, can win this game, because I think PAK's attack is best in this tournament.

Yes, have checked stats now - decent FC stats to be 5th bowler and No. 7 batsman. Has a Test hundred as well!!! and a 10for in FC games.
 
8 down - PAK might not last till 50 overs and it's the spinners turning on in middle overs.
 
PAK E has suffered something I predicted in BD game thread. In first 2 games, bulk of their runs were scored by 3 players - Farhan, Imran & Talat and later Khusdil had few blows. But, that didn't allow middle order proper batting time and then in last 2 games all 3 high scores failed, and middle order got exposed.

I don't think Farhan has much future in International cricket, while Imran is even worse. Selecting List A players based on T20 is always risky, it's better to select ODI/List A players based on FC scores rather than T20,as the longer 2 versions are much closer than what is between the shorter two.

172 all-out. Can be a tight game, but just not enough runs.
 
172 a/o. Markande is a not easy to play at this level. He will trouble even International players.
 
Great to see Markande progressing well after his mega IPL success. Will keep Chahal on his toes.
 
11 wickets for Markande in this tournament! Another superstar in the making for us. So good to see a young leggie doing so well.
 
Should be walk in the park for India. India will win by 7-8 wickets with 10-15 overs in hand. Pathetic batting display by our over-hype Farhan, Saad, Zeeshan and Khusdil. Should never be considered these new flat track bullies to any of our team.

He is good fielder. He is a MI boy after all. Ambani has a whole extra ground only for pactice and intra-squad matches.

Lmao. All new and old hacks showing their worth. They can't play. All these Saud and Saad are just gali level players. And that hack of highest order Farhan. My blood is boiling after seeing his score.

As Chahal is not going to become w proper Test bowler, perhaps better to groom Markande as a FC spinner. Has started well, give him the full season and regular games for India A (where we do not have a leg spinner)
