Without decent bowlers batting firepower means zilch. India almost gave it away.

Too close, shows Bumrah and Bhuvi’s value...
We need to cope with him until Bumrah and Nttu will back.
India has beaten full strength and best LOI team with their A side bowling attack....congratulations to Indian fans and commiserations to English and Pakistani fans.
Pace bowler bowling cutters right from the beginning.
Hardhik and Shardul bowled same before.
While india had dew factor...england played horribly and yet almost won the game.
Luckily for India, the ball gripped or England wluld have chased this by the 18th over.
We defeated England in England last time we played England in a T20 series.Lol at this winning at T20 at home

Ball did not grip India bowled well specially the slower bowls and mixed it up. Got a bit lucky as this approach is a bit hit and miss as you are guessing.

How was pandya bowling off spin with his cutters if it didnt grip?
I thought spinners got ripped apart in the second innings.
Change of speed is what they did them in not the "Turn".

Change of speed is nothing if it does not grip. These deliveries are usually clobbered in SENA
See some of the deliveries...it was practically high speed off spin.

Depending on how good the slow ball is. SLow ball not necessarily have to depend on the surface. It is all about release.
We've hammered every team away from home in T20Is.Lol at this winning at T20 at home
Ofcourse India came back after Rohit took over.
Kohli still not taking hints....
Kohli was the captain in those two series.![]()

Yeah I know that but what's the point here? That we won those series' because of Kohli's captaincy?![]()
Mental midget shardul Thakur

Dew prevented them from landing it accurately.
Not sure how pandya got it turn so much.
India is GOAT in T20Is.....defeated everyone home and away
The ball did not really turn he bowled cleverly and second guessing the batsmen etc this time it worked for him and rest of the bowling line up too on another day this tactic may not work as it only requires batsman to pick 2/3 balls and deposit in the stands.
I was talking about grip.
Pandya got a few to turn.
Rest came off a tad slow which is why many english bats were early into the shot.
Heck those 2 wickets at the death were due to it gripping.
Maybe Morgan misjudged the speed but Stokes gripped for sure.

Thakur to Morgan, out Caught by Washington Sundar!! There's a slice. There's the miscue. And just like that, JUST LIKE THAT, Thakur doesn't get India clawing back, he gets India romping back. A full-wide delivery, pretty innocuous-looking and very typically Thakur-like -- getting top batsmen out on some really easy-looking deliveries. There's no pace on this one, Morgan slices, mistimes and it's down deep point's throat. Morgan c Washington Sundar b Thakur 4(6)
16.1
Thakur to Stokes, out Caught by Suryakumar Yadav!! The off-cutter, a brave off-cutter, on a length, and the Stokes walks right into the gamble. He swings hard, too hard, only for the ball to spin away, take the toe-end on his bat and hole out at long-off. Turntables? Surely?! Stokes c Suryakumar Yadav b Thakur 46(23) [4s-4 6s-3]
dangerous jofra archer comes on to bat
Pandya is a legend...anything he does. On good batting tracks in Australia, he wins the game for his team with the bat. Here on low & slow surfaces, he is doing it with the ball. There is a reason he is 2nd best all rounder in the world after Ben Stokes. Terrific cricketer.
Those 2 fluke wickets changed the game.

Stupid by Morgan and Stokes to go for those shots when so many deliveries were left. They just threw an easy victory away.

Spinners got clobbered left right center. It was just a brilliant piece of bowling. Just you know ball speeds are release speeds. Fact that the release speed was slower helped him.

Not sure why you think those wickets were flukes? He probably varied the pace to make the batsmen mishit.
However, the 2 edged boundaries the English batsmen "hit" off him in his first over were definitely flukes.
England through this game with some pretty mediocre and brainless cricket.
When Buvi was about to bowl his 3rd over the req run rate was between 10-11. England then got 8 runs off 1st 4 balls through playing good cricket shots.
Then we get two stupid attempts at walking across the stumps to manufactor a shot. Why not pick up 2 singles atleast and uve got the required 10 from an over.
Instead those 2 dot balls increased pressure and stokes then gets out next over.
Credit to how thakur, buvi and pandya bowled but england just lost there heads in last 5-6 overs with poor game management.
When Morgan got out, England was 140 in 16.2, that is 22 balls left and 46 runs to get. The RRR was over 12. They had to go for 4s and 6s if they were going to make it, and they got out trying to hit those boundaries.
46 out of 20 is routine asking rate in T20 nowadays. Eng which were playing so well just couldn't connect or do clean hits. I would say the same about Indian batting during the last two overs they faced. The score could have been about 195.
Easier said than done or there won't be any chokes in cricket. These things are happening since time immemorial in cricket and will keep happening in future as well. Then we get two stupid attempts at walking across the stumps to manufactor a shot.
