I was talking abt someone who can replace other good bowler without the team being disturbed a lot. Surely debutants are not gonna do that as these are experiments and not a like for like replacement at the moment

We have seen Unadkat, Thakur etc, they were nowhere near international standards. So someone who has never played an international match shouldnt be considered a bench strength.

Shami is a poor t20 bowler. And coming to promising upcoming bowlers, Navdeep Saini and Khaleel Ahmed are the ones to watch out along with recent U19 pacers Nagarkoti and Mavi.
 
Can anybody tell me why India didnt try Krunal Pandya? A spin bowling all rounder to give a sixth option, might not have worked but still when you are playing with two new bolwers its better to have bit of an option

When the time comes they all look and bowl the same. Don't waste your energy on these hopeless bowlers. Just wait for our batting. Only that can win us this match.
 
Same thing happened with Imad Wasim in PSL but ge took a catch and went out on stretcher

You will not find that for any team, take 3 first 11 bowlers and you will find the team weaker. No team in the world will get similar level players on bench.
 
Thakur and Kaul are average, not international standard. Indian selectors are a joke. They don't have an eye for talent.

How can you expect Krunal in the team when Kuldeep himself is thrown out of the team after brilliant performances? That's typical Kohli for you.

Do you know who the captain is? And the coach? You couldn't find a worse combination to manage a national team. Dumbest captain I have ever seen international cricket. And the coach, well...

Not flaunting here but Amir was injured in CT 17 semi final and Raees did an exceptional job. Amir was rested for Srl series and Shinwari destroyed Srl batting lineup.

Now hasan was rested in last match against Aus and Shaheen did and excellent job.

But may be kaul and Chahar can finish well there are still few overs remaining

Chahal and Yadav retained but Bhuvi and Kuldeep dropped. Are they injured?

Or does Kohli want to make Indian bowling look like RCB bowling?

Stupid to not play Kuldeep given what he had done in the series, unless it was due to injury. India feeling his absence atm.
 
Poor from Kohli and disappointed that Dhoni didnt help either as I guess he was captaining him in indian league.

If Chahar was to play, he needed to ball all his quota with in first 10 as there isnt much in his weaponary for death overs
 
Need to get Bairstow our asap. Most dangerous player in the most fearsome batting lineup. Amazing how he has turned it around in LOIs.

I agree that its definitely too much to ask and I dont think any other team in the world except Pak can replace their top bowlers. Pak also not easily but to some extent with decent enough replacements.

Aus has a pretty big bench strength but unfortunately injuries are in same ratio.

Even if he wants to try othe bowlers its better to have a cover as two of these pacers were pretty raw.

This Indian bowling without Bumrah and Bhuvi is as good as Zimbabwe attack. Umesh is just rubbish.
 
Idk how a guy like Yadav keeps getting picked surely India are better off going with a trundler who is atleast economical, Yadav is like Riaz bilawajah ka pace and hella expensive
 
Expecting Rohit Sharma special today. Has not been doing anything great since few matches. He should be shown the way if doesn't perform today too.
 
Kl Rahul might have turned himself into a dynamic batsmen but he has some glaring technical flaws against moving ball but this wicket isnt swinging much so you never know
 
If India wants to win tournaments they would need to build a better bowling attack and not be completely reliant on top three for batting.

Wahab can atleast ball some reverse swinging yorkers in T20s Yadav has shown nothing at death overs
 
Pandya is expensive but has knack of picking wickets

Bhuvi and Bumrah are not in the playing 11. That's a big injury already and the guys like Umesh, chahar are adding salt to it.

Their bench strength might be weak but their main bowlers Bumrah, Bhuvi, Chahal, Kuldeep are decent to support their batting. But surely backup is pretty weak
 
Pandya, hit for 22 in his first over and gets 4/16 for his later three overs.
 
Pandya just sticks with lenghth balls and slower balls and dont even try yorkers, so far has been working good for him
 
I have noticed a thing, whenever Pakistan win a match India follow up also with a win later in the day. That has happend many times.
 
It would be nice if England end up with similar score to Australia and then we can really compare batting lineups :broad:
 
If Eng doesn get to over 200 it would be a shame

Aus bowling attack due to Stanlake was better than this english side I think
 
Pandya is a limited bowler, but good part is he's aware of his limitations. Doesn't try stuff he can't do and is mentally strong enough to shrug off thrashings.

Exactly, main Indian bowlers are really impressive at understanding their limitations and sticking to their strengths. And thats the only reason they sometimes out perform much better bowling sides

Kohli is doing the right thing. He needs centuries. England have to make enough runs to get him there.
 
Good comeback by our bowlers. They came back hard on a flat pitch against some monster hitters. We have a slight chance of chasing this imo.

Good come back by the end by India.Now one of the batsmen has to play blinder to chase this.We had chased down 200 3 times with Yuvi being the star in two and Raina and Dhawan in the rest.
