What's new

India [203/5] defeat South Africa [175/9] by 28 runs in the 1st T20I

I understand SA players want to take some time off. But looking at the atmosphere, crowd they should have played their best players. They would have gotten their money's worth. This is a good promising group of players. But fans want to see the super stars.

Unadkat is biggest trundler you will see in international cricket & ipl. He just bowls slow balls from different angle nothing else. Idk how he can be worth 11 crore. I won't even pay 1 crore for him.

It must suck to be chasing 200 time and again. Pakistan has only conceded 200+ once in T20s and that was back in 2013. An excellent bowling attack is a blessing from God.

Didn't Pakistan concede the highest ever Odi score in the history of the game just an year ago?

India has conceded 200+ seven times.

India has conceded 400+ in ODIs twice, highest being 438. Pakistan has conceded 400+ once, 444.

None of the premier bowlers are playing.

You are due a “reality check” if you think Pakistan has an excellent bowling attack.

Im not battling for India here. Pakistan also conceded the highest ever ODI score in the history of the game no matter it is once or twice!

Congrats to England for scoring 444 against an attack of:

Amir
Hasan
Wahab
Yasir
Nawaz
Malik

Only 2 bowlers there

What fans need to realize is that India has a bowling culture that develops ATG bowlers :)))
Yeah.Atleast our fast bowlers dont trundle in tests even against Lankans .And please do tell me the average of Amir in the recent ODI series where Kiwis massacred your bowlers.

Hardik Sobers once again showing what a good thinking bowler he is.
In 4 overs he just conceeded 45 runs and took a 1fer.

Last time India toured NZ, they got massacred 4-0 in ODIs. :shh

But we dont claim our bowlers as 'shoopetshtars'. You do and all of them are unfit and pathetic to even bowl fast against Lankans of all teams.First find some one who has the stamina to hit 140s in Tests and then hype up your trundlers.

That's a big win on a pitch defending a below par score in 1st inning, brilliant bowling by the Indians, who would have thought 200 odd would have been defended so easily on a pitch which was getting better with time Raina's fielding has been a plus, middle order failed yet again

So first you Indians were arguing T20s, then moved to ODIs and now Tests :)))

Under lights should have been chased easily. They left it too late.

The dropped catches and not appealing catches coming bite them in the back.

Easy win for India. You get a feeling SA dont want to play as they have already given up. Think they should start focusing on Australia series completely.

They have since the start of the ODI series.

Almost 15 yorkers in the last 4 overs, Made an easy target look difficult, still lots to worry about though.Middle order almost cost us the match today.
SA can still win the series though, they have enough fire power to do so.

That clown shamsi was getting mocked from the dugout by Kuldeep of all people.

Like INdia wants to stay there and enjoy lol Atleast they are rotating players . New players would have hunger to play. It is just that they were outclassed thoroughly.

Classic PP reaction. No comment on "Overrated" Bhuvi who has fabulous figures on a high scoring , high altitude ground while they were quick to pick on Pandya.

Running total for matches (all formats) this tour: India 7, SA 3.

Nothing cheap about international wickets brother, try to give credit where it's due. Remove your prejudice

Let me give you an example. On the recent NZ tour where Pakistan got hammered 5-0, Rumman Raees was Pakistan’s top wicket taker.

They were cheap wickets.

Also worth noting that India has won 7 of the last 8 matches. If it wasn't for Chahal overstepping the line by an inch, it would have been 8 out of 8.

You say so, but record books won't say that.

Every world-class bowler Wasim, Waqar, McGrath do have tailender wickets in their total tally. Do u think Bhuvi gets only tailender wickets all the time, appreciate good effort no matter which country the guy is from brother ! #BeFair

In Ruman Raees' case they were cheap wickets as his economy was very high, which means batsmen were attacking him.

Bhuvi's economy was 6 in a high scoring game.

Raees averaged 36 with an RPO of 6.43. His RPO was worst among the top 9 wicket takers and second worst among top 16 wicket takers in that series (that would probably include almost all the part timers). So, yes his wickets were cheap. It was a typical Vinay Kumar performance. Get tonked and get a few wickets as batsmen target you.
