Suryakumar Yadav's Team India is gearing up to face South Africa in the third T20I of the four-match series today on Wednesday evening at SuperSport Park in Centurion. After a setback at St George's Park, the visitors are looking to bounce back.

India secured a commanding 61-run victory in the first T20, setting a target of 203 that South Africa failed to chase. In the second match, despite Varun Chakravarthy's remarkable five-wicket haul, India narrowly lost by three wickets in a tightly contested game.

Tilak in aggressive mood. Hope he rotates the strike and not play too many dot balls.

Lets see if Abhishek uses this opportunity. He is utterly brainless when it comes to shot selection.

Abhishek exposes his stumps way too often to score big hits. Extremely low percentage of success. He needs to understand that runs can be scored without trying to get out.

Empty threads for indian matches tells us how much is this series important for indian fans . :kp

Would love to see Ramandeep Singh bat. What is the point of Hardik coming in these meaningless bilaterals?

Pandya playing a selfish i nnings. Totally sucked the momentum out of Indian batting after that start.

Now he is gone. Horrible innings. Not sure what he was doing there.

seen few overs when Hardik was batting

He is not playing for the team , somthing is cooking in his mind after they did not make him captain.

A very egoistic player

The most worthless player in our team is the captain himself...only hype.

Hardik was very selfish. He is a much better player than what he showed. Agreed that something is going on in his mind.

Rinku Singh has lost his batting skills. He is playing as a pure batsman and has shown nothing that he deserves a place in the team. He is struggling mightily in international cricket. In fact he struggled badly in last year IPL too IIRC.

Meanwhile Ramandeep showing why he he should be batting in middle order and not lower order. He is a batsman that deserves in the top or middle order.

The square boundaries are really short - shorter than Chinnaswamy and it's at an elevation of 1450 m. The ball really flies here
Pitch is two paced ... Tilak Verma made it look too easy rest no one was even able to place bat on ball and thanks to nearly 20 extra runs and balls by South Africa. Its a tough pitch.

Lol this tilak verma guy was struggling like no tomorrow in emerging cup.

New ball is easier to score. As the ball receives some pounding in the power play, it is getting difficult for batsmen to time.

Credit to Tilak and Abhishek for utilizing the powerplay very well.

Pandya and Rinku killed the momentum. Otherwise, India would have scored 250.

That is his weakness. He blows hot and cold like many young Indian batsmen.

He just turned 22. Lots of time to improve on that consistency.
Apart from yashasvi jaiswal I don't really see any special talent in India. I could be wrong though.

SA needs to attack Indian pacers to make this chase possible because i dont think they can attack their spinners.

India on two occasions post 200+

Recently they smashed close to 300 in T20….

(All without Jaiswal)

Yet we have a Pakistan cricket fan here who claims he cannot see any talent coming out of India besides Jaiswal.

This is the reason why I argue Pakistan cricket fans are as mediocre as their sides white ball approach.

Jaiswal and Gill are set to represent India for a decade. The rest of the spots are up for grabs in T20's. The likes of Pandya, SKY will only be there for another 2 or 3 years. SKY is 34 already. He will be the first one to go when he hits 36.

Lots of spaces will be up for grabs in the batting lineup in a couple of years. So far no one has performed consistently to announce themselves. Samson did it with a couple of centuries, but threw it away with a couple of ducks. Abdhishek reminds me of slightly better version of Kishan. Not much different though.

So the Rona Dhona also carried to this thread
Maybe covid fans should refrain from belittling Indian cricket? Especially when they are promoters of two openers who struck at 90 and 100 in the last two ICC tournaments?

Have known Indian cricket since the time of Saba Karim Vijay Dhaiya & Sunil Joshi, stop hyping them

Why is Rabada, Nortje and Ngidi? Who are these Sipamla and simelane?
Ngidi is no longer first choice.

I don't think Nortje has signed a central contract.

Rabada has been rested because there's a long home Test season coming up and he just finished a tour of Bangladesh

I would have Ngidi over these club level bowlers.

Surprised to know about Nortje and quite understandable in Rabada's case.

I would have loved to see Ngidi and Nortje at least to make it bit more interesting. Right now it looks a local club bowlers vs India

Jansen and Coetzee are very good. Maharaj is good.

Sipamla and Similane seems to be a DEI recruits. Not international quality.

Yes Jansen was extremely good despite high score from India. Maharaj too did well on a pitch which offers nothing to spinners.

Coetzee is too new, played just 9 T20 internationals, long way to go.

So Samson scored another duck😔.. He'll be a better ODI bat than a T20I bat... He bats well when he takes time to settle in..

Anyway brilliant innings by Thilak Varma, excellent finish by him too despite other end batsmen had a horrible game (except Ramandeep Singh)..

Nortje's extra pace would have been useful no doubt. But Saffers rarely seem to play both Coetzee and Nortje together.

Ngidi has an economy rate of 10 against India and in his last 35 T20Is has an economy rate of 9.76.

He was getting smashed by Irish batters last time played any international cricket.

I don't think he would have improved this side much to be honest.

Agreed. India does not have any real talent apart from Jaiswal.

Nothing on Abdullah, Saim, Haider Ali level talents at any rate.

Good effort from these Indian youngsters. They have performed very well so far in this series.

Hardik feeding hit me length balls. :vk2

Taking revenge on SKY for stealing his captaincy :cobra

we already won the world cup and we are the greatest team in the history of T20I cricket, why are we still playing these useless bilateral series ? I don't understand.

Extremities of Arshdeep,Samson came out quite nicely. Arsh was very poor on pacers wicket in last match and he is top class on an excellent batting wicket.Avesh must have gone easily 80/90 .

Terrific hitting by Jansen. But one must say Hardik pandya played like he wanted to lose the match. Does he want captaincy back?

SA batted very well. Fell short by 11 runs only.

Hopefully they will finish the series on a high (by winning the final game).
