By the way, were choices of Shubman Gill and Harry Brooks as player of series right at the end of series?

Actually props to @mominsaigol man was gutsy to make such call and England almost pulled off a 370+ chase while a man down.

England only needed like 42 runs with 6 wickets in hand with 90% win chance at that point.
I made a call based of pitch and conditons but england botched it at the end.

I knew 373 wasnt going to be enough as pitch would not deteriorate but oh well, England bottle job and bethall being a clown is nothing new.

Baz picked Gill. Gauti picked Brooks. Gill is not a terrible choice. But from what i heard Baz picked Gill even yesterday before the match was over. If he had picked today he probably would have picked Siraj. But Brooks is a weird pick. Obviously Stokes should have been the one as he won two MOM awards. If not Root.

ECB uploaded highlights. Seeing first few balls, both Overton and Atkinson played really well. Overton was unlucky with a marginal call.

FTB Jaimie Smith was completely clueless against the moving ball. I hope Scot Boland will have field day with this guy in Ashes.

India pulled off a great win. Siraj gets all the credit for his gutsy bowling on the final day... England has the game in the bag but they choked.

Both him and brook are victims of the reckless bazball mentality. As talented batters as they are, they could score even more runs if they used half their brain.
Jamie Smith has already proven himself in tough conditions against the moving ball. Also a far better player of spin than Brook, proved it in 3rd test in pindi last year on a turner.
He should smash washed up Lyon in the ashes.

That is how they have won so many tests. why would they change? That is his pet shot much like defensive shot for many. Pant does it all the time. So does Jaiswal. Besides most of the time ENgland plays that way because they don't have sound defense. They are not technically good apart from Root.

I am not a Sri Lankan. I am a Bangladeshi. Not sure why you think I am a Sri Lankan. :inti

I am a big fan of Test cricket whether my team win or not. My favorite cricket series is The Ashes. :inti

I am anti-T20.

Lol nice pj.

Jab billi doodh piti hai, tab usse lagta hai usse koi nahi dekh raha:misbah

Love the coping mechanism by wannabe and delusional posters here. They are humiliated like England team . :klopp:kp
Cry babies are going mad . Never imagined the breakdown extent.Untill now tests are the most interesting and pure format hoping eng will crush India. Now t20s are the future .mental gymnastics and coping mechanism is shameless clownish cringe at best.

Nitish should have let the ball outside offstump just before the lunch too
In hindsight, Pant should have not thrown his wicket away at MCG.

Lots of could have, would have, should have
Gambhir would feel better with 3-5 win/loss in 10 test matches in Australia-England with close losses at the MCG & Lord's.

Better to play 4 proper bowlers when India tours New Zealand next year for 2 tests.

What more funny is two posters ( Mate and wannabe 🤣) are replying to each other but they are not the different person but same person coming with different id. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They won't win any in Australia with this approach. England have largely been successful on flat tracks, bazball won't work on quicker pitches in Australia.

That’s like saying your predictions failed, therefore reality is wrong.

Or, you predicted that Messi would score a goal; he didnt so something is wrong with the player or team.

The reality is that your predictions failed because of you and you alone.

Yeah it failed because of me bro, im the one who mind controlled England, taught them how to bat, became their batting coach, and told them how to botch it.

My fault 100% bro, now please bring the guillotine for my transgressions towards humanity for crying out loud!

@Rana bro aren’t you active on these days, i miss your honest and balanced opinion there’s only a few here like you who are unbiased
I think England deserved to lose the 2nd Test the way India were on their heels throughout waiting for them to slip up.

Really poor first innings batting having shot India out for a low score. Really poor closing out having to chase 100 odd with 7 wickets in hand.

Biggest disappointment for me in this Test was Jamie Smith, he let his team down in both innings on his home ground.

Also mate you can say I have an agenda,

But I do like to preserve my energy in swatting flies on here who are constantly hovering around :poop: players that are not in the best interest of Pakistan cricket.

My work here isn’t finished. I have to stay on alert on the frontline for the sake of Pakistan cricket. We have already taken too much damage because of false narratives being shoved down our throats.

As always well written and funny :)

Also wrong in this regard, but let’s move on.

As expected you have certain posters posting Bumrahs stats again and waffling nonsense

India didn't win any of the 3 tests Bumrah played. But people will conviently now act like he contributed to help India draw this series when he didn't

India won both test when Bumrah was conviently sat out on his ****.

You didn't see bowlers in past picking and choosing what tests to play in a series

So India failing to chase a meagre total of 192 is Bumrah's fault lol

Siraj never bowled below 131 KMPH in this series while Kamboj in the only test he played bowled in early 120s.

Don't want to be too harsh on the debutant but he had 1 golden chance and he fluffed that royally. Who knows when will he get his next chance?

This whole series had been tame. The end result is a 3-1 win or 2-1 win fir England
You are the biggest jinx in favor of Inds bro, every time you say something the opposite happens. In future please predict big wins for them so that they lose more.

Congratulations on the result to @Bhaag Viru Bhaag @sweep_shot @Devadwal

Two mediocre mid table teams competing made for a close series. Nobody cares about either of these two teams in reality. Boring and garbage teams despite Pant/Bazball gimmicks.

Agreed, Pakistan and westindies are playing the Great series because they are top team. :klopp :kp

Since Siraj's test debut, nobody has been denied by the umpire's call as often as he has: 6 times. Nathan Lyon comes close with 5, but he has also had 5 umpire's calls go his way. Siraj has only 2.

The umpires had a largely good series: Decisions were challenged 63 times this series by both sides, of which 44 were unsuccessful reviews

If this was the WTC final then England would not be fielding its B team.

India flopped twice in the WTC final.

The less said about beating a 10 man team the better.

Experiencing sadness or even a sense of depression after a rival's success, especially a deeply invested one, is a common experience, often referred to as "sports fan depression" in athletic contexts. This isn't necessarily a clinical mental health condition, but rather a description of the strong emotional connection people have to their teams and the disappointment felt when the outcome isn't what they hoped for.

My tullugu driver was happy your team won 3 out of 15 tests. I gave him a bonus matching what @Bewal Express contributes.

Many English & Australian cricket pundits are comparing this series to the 2005 Ashes. Even if not true (for the quality of cricket and pitches), any series compared to that one has to be epic in its own right.

Hope the Ashes matches up to this series and does not turn out to be a one-sided damp squib.

Wasim stats is worse vs top sides of his time

It’s 28 and I fact checked

SEWAI is what you need to look at and it’s pretty average

Waqar btw wait for it averages 35 hahahahahha vs SEWAI

And then shoaib is 33 plus which is which I rate him over Waqar.

Shami is better than Waqar and shaoib

So is siraj
I dont think thats correct. Waqar vs SEWAI averages 28.3. Wasim averages 26.09 vs SEWAI

Huge disappointment this loss after the position England got themselves in to.

Root Bethell Smith all choked.

Credit to India though for keeping England under sustained pressure after Brook's wicket.

This will go down as a massive choke for English and amazing performances from young Indian batsmen in tests.

I won’t lie ,the silence from many Commonwealth Pakistanis that mock ICT is nice.

England hasn’t even reached the WTC final lol.. so B or A is a dream scenario for them. Keep whining.. if England can’t win in their own home with C D team time for them to be tier -2 in tests

They are neither seen as British nor as Pakistani. Even in UK, they are poorer and less educated than British Indians who have integrated nicely with the white society.

More pain for them as Indians become richer and richer while they remain the dregs of British society.

Gambhir doing his Gambhir things.

Messi or Ronaldo
Gambhir : Rashford

Chappel or Kirsten
Gambhir : None

Stokes or Root
Gambhir : Harry Brooks

:lol

This will be a day of entertainment and thrilling action
Keen to see the thoughts here of Indian posters @Vikram1989 @Hellion @Human786 @harshjoshi87 etc can you guys do it?

The English fans like @James @Rajdeep must be less confident of their side doing it.
I posted on day 3 itself once IND crossed 350 that it will be 2-2 here . Loved the Test & the fightback from day 4 of Test 4 at 0/2 with 150 overs to go !!!

By the way, were choices of Shubman Gill and Harry Brooks as player of series right at the end of series?
Brooks is surprising , if a ENG player had to be nominated , should have been Stokes with 17 wickets & 300 odd runs in 4 games !

England were something like 300/3. They should've won from that position.

Missed opportunity.

Wasn't on PP whole series due to injury/surgery....but what an awesome series, one of the all timers in tests....
Am not into comparing with ashes 05 or aus-Wi 60-61 or any other series, let's leave the semantics as nationalistic jingoism will come into this.
Each day each session-almost each ball, there was skill, fortitude, resilience , spirit, strategy on display - in spades.
One felt series like this will goad any youngster to fall in love enough to take up the sport...& Also place test cricket on the pedestal it deserves...
To the eng fans here- my commiserations. To several 'locals" - read real cricket loving fans who were fulsome in their appreciation -you know who U are- cheers guys!
To the serial India baiting trollujahideens💥🤪- my sympathies to your refrigerators working overtime to generate the ice packs to quell the epic face palm & elsewhere swelling ....pages 21 thru to 24 make for some epic post takedowns ...
Vaisey - as the dude once said 'Ya to win Hai , ya to .....!'
last 12 months or so have made for some real epic 'learns' ...which was your 'biggest "learn'?
A) WC T20 2024
B) CT 2025
C) this series
D) All of the above...🤪😎🪔
