What is Steve Smith doing playing T20s in 2023? He shouldn’t even be playing ODIs anymore, judging by his performance in the recent World Cup and Australia are playing him in T20s. Baffling decision.

Most likely due to logistical issues. These guys are already here. Also, he has one last shot at redeeming his IPL career. IPL auction is coming on December 23. Any slim chance they get they will take it. CA is giving him an opportunity. Judging by his performances in the LOIs chances of him getting picked by any franchise is 1% or below.

India just need to figure out Travis Head. They will be fine for odi next time. Travis is great but bowling consistently short and right into him is one weakness that can be exploited.
