RO-KO are the last of the superstars..

Want them to see them play for India as long as possible..
Youngsters will be ready and they will get their due in time

Don't get me wrong, though. I don't want either of them there in 2027 because, regardless of fitness, the hand eye just won't be there for either of them .
I know this isn't that much of a logical argument, but Kohli for me, deserves to play just because he is one of the greatest batters ODI cricket has ever seen. He has the mindset of a champion and has given so many clutch performances when India needed it most that it isn't that hard to imagine that he has one last swansong performance left in him. He's not going to deliver in all the bilaterals, he will be drawing edges again in New Zealand, and cashing in on flatter pitches. But as long as he delivers in the World Cup, I think India will be more than happy. And Kohli is the type of player who can just rise to the occasion in big matches and deliver something special, even if he has been out of form. He's got that dawg in him.

Irrespective of the debate weather the duo should retire or play on, i just wish fans could discuss their merits and demerits of their game/skills/prowess or lack of the same without dissing them off, showing more respect to two legends of the white ball game. In fact i wish all players who wear the national shirt irrespective of which country they represent, were shown more respect

Not really
He averages 31 in ko stages of off odi events. And that’s including champions trophy. If it weren’t for that, would be worse.

He has done better in t20 not odi and definitely not a true test great.

Why players like Kohli, Rohit are world class players because they scored runs almost in every country they played.... this ability and level should be adopted by our young team. India shouldn't be complement after solitary Asia cup win

On a separate but parallel note bilateral ODIs have lost their charm completely; to become nothing more than a testing / experimentation ground.

Here teams can try out strategies, blood players and new combinations, all in preparation for important ICC events.

That’s it.

I find them unexciting, hard to watch. Of course it pinches when we lose, but there’s no sense of celebration if we win.

Kohli should. His fitness alone is top-notch, even at this age. But I dunno about Rohit. He doesn't have the consistency anymore and Jaiswal is a fantastic talent who is more deserving of a place in the playing eleven.
Jaiswal struggles in seaming conditions, struggled in 2 test matches in South Africa, couldn't score runs in Australia after the pitch flattened out in Perth last year, even in England this year he struggled when the ball moved around.

Rohit has lost his weight, is back scoring the big hundreds which he had given up from 2023 WC since he wanted to play attacking & aggressive cricket. Now that onus is on Gill as Rohit is no longer the skipper.

Sachin played the 2011 WC at age of 38-39, Rohit would give it a shot or else retire next year but it looks highly unlikely.

Great performance by 2 great statpadders in a dead rubber game. Typical Kholi. 0 and 0 when series was alive and cheap runs in dead rubber.
Worry about whether Babar can manage a Test batting average above 40 in the next couple of years.
