Pakistan's best bet is to bat first. Put up as much total as they can and then back their strength (bowling) to defend it.

Yes, it seems like losing toss will be tantamount to losing SF berth for Pakistan U19

India isnt getting anything more than 180 imo.
And i think pak should bowl get india out under 200 and then chase it.
Anyways easier said than done.

I really enjoy watching U-19 cricket

Didn't make the time to watch Pakistan and NZ games today but will definitely try to watch the U-19 game - Pak vs India

Wish the best to the youngsters of both the teams

Want to watch the contest between Ali Raza vs that 14 year old left handed opener of India (don't know his name)

It will be a feast for the eyes

Genuine pace vs batting talent

Beat of luck to both of them. Hopefully India will bat first

Imho Pakistan should bowl first as thats the main strength, secondly Indian batters will try to post good score to be safe and this thinking might lead them to do some mistakes for easy wickets.

During chase, Pakistan will have a clear target and when the target is clear things mostly workout. Also if we put India to bat second, then they would be playing to for their RR which might make it easier for them to plan and to reach the goal.

So yeah, bowling first should be suitable for Pakistan. Although its a tough, very tough ask but still ....

Time to teach those arrogant Indian brats lesson again.
They might have forgotten that asia Cup final lesson where they were humiliated and embarrassed badly.

Lol Pakistan u-19 team has beaten Indian u-19 4 times in last 5 matches.
In u-19 world cup matches both teams are even.
Matches-10
Pakistan won-5
India won-5

Indian U-19 guys aren't that good compared to their previous U-19 teams.

They lost the U-19 Asia Cup final by 191 runs recently (to Pakistan).

Still chasing 200 feels more doable.
Usman and farhan are in form also.We can do that.

Exactly, ppl gotta understand that these pitches are horrendous. Its extremely difficult to score 300+, so best would be to bowl first and try to restrict India as low as possible. And then with clear target in mind, am sure Pakistan batting can achieve the target.

But if Pak bat first, then i think chances are way more slimmer as India will be well prepared in chase and they would just try to maintain the RR.

We have been knocked out of this tournament due to it’s stupid format.

India is too good a team to lose to this Pakistan side by a big margin once again.

And Pakistan went with this decision, good one.

Strange decision, I guess they are just happy beating India instead of thinking about qualification for semis, fair enough I would say considering the batting talent we have it’s almost impossible.

What are these dudes thinking?
Maybe they have given up on qualification thought. I remember in 2019 WC under Sarfraz, Pakistan needed to beat Bangladesh by a ridiculous margin of 300 in the last game but they opted to bat first and Imam and Fakhar started the tuk tuk.

I also wanted them to bat first but maybe in these conditions scoring at 7 rpo for 50 overs would be harder than scoring that much for 33 overs , in both cases they need to restrict India to 250 max , which is hard but not impossible. Only issue is it might become too dry in second dig. Atleast boys should give Their best.

full toss galore , I think this lot is also suffering from high stakes pressure game syndrome. If padosis score anything over 250 it's 100% curtains for Pak chances.

Never bowl first in a high pressure match. India learned their lesson in 2003 world cup final,2017 CT final, Asia cup U19 final. Will Pak learn this lesson today?

I think pak bowlers are scared at the face of huge task .if they are thinking clearly and calmly, they can exploit the pitch.very few good balls to do the damage.
