India (262 & 118/4) defeat Australia (263 & 113) by 6 wickets - Take a 2-0 lead in the series

That's why scoring 263 on this wicket was such a big deal.
 
India beat Aus in Brisbane where they were unbeaten in decades and now Australia will beat India in Delhi where they have a similar record 😀
 
No convincing evidence of this being pad first, could be an inside edge based on the Ultraedge footage. Kohli was looking really good, quite unlucky here.

Gill should defo be thrown in and perhaps even Sarfraz Khan, when you’ve got the highest FC average since Bradman (80) and with a healthy SR even if it won’t 100% be translated into intl performances you’ll probably do more than duds like Rahul.

Bharat doesn't belong at this level. He is just highest in the seniority level thanks to MSK, UP has couple of keepers who are better than him
 
They first picked Sky instead of Sarfaraz and then dropped Sky after giving him just 1 test? Pujara and KL should be kicked after this test. These guys play 1 good inning and keep their place intact for the whole series. :facepalm :inti

SKY was picked instead of Iyer, not Sarfaraz. Once Iyer is back, SKY sits out.

KL should be dropped now and Gill should come in. Two tests here and 2 vs BD are enough.

Our selection in all formats is rotten to core.
 
Pujara was also dropped along with Rahane.
But then scored a bucket load of runs in Division 2 of County cricket and was recalled.
 
Just expending Chetan Sharma won't solve our selection issues, till the time politicos and senior players have Mafia like stranglehold over Indian cricket.
 
I cringed at the drama of Pujara being given cap by Sunny before this test.

Or Bharat's entire family on ground at the start of last test.

Forget these gimmicks and just get on with playing cricket for heaven's sake.

Rohit, KL, Pujara, Kohli all of them can be dropped and India should build a new team. These guys won't perform in away tour anyway so it is better to give youngsters some matches before they tour abroad. :inti
 
It seems Patel is in the team for his batting only. I will once again repeat that we don't need Axar and Jaddu in the same team. Kuldeep would be better and will add variety to our bowling attack. :inti

Rohit is performing all right. In fact, he's pur best batter at home. The others can't even bat in India so they need to be replaced.

yeah, the guy has started playing quality test cricket just in recent years and he needs to be dropped:facepalm why are binding them up all together. drop only those who didn't perform well in recent past. doesn't matter rohit is ageing he will & must play test cricket for some time going forward.
 
the people who hate axar just because he is from gujarat will be hurt badly if he once again plays a good innings here.

Mohammed Shami dismissed Nathan Lyon for 10 and as the Indian cricketers celebrated, Ashwin twisted Shami's ears. Shami was caught off guard by the action, but the duo shared a laugh afterwards. that i for sure, i agree. but again jadeja was also not like the current version of him in the initial days and he developed in the later stages of his career. expecting axar to pick his game up too, as & when he plays more test matches.

Axar Patel won't be troubled much by spin. A couple overs of pace is what Australia should have tried.
 
DDCA is a shame on cricket and this ground is ugly af but crowd is fantastic l!

there is nothing meaningful to comprehend in that post. rohit's recent ENG tour was damn good. giving chance to youngsters & building the future doesn't mean you drop the performing seniors.

He tried to do that a few overs back...but couldn't reverse the ball at all and was promptly dispatched for boundaries by Axar in each of his overs. Did not really look threatening or troubling these batters.

Perhaps the ugliest going worldwide, and defo in India. And the DDCA are one pathetic bunch of snakes dedicated to senseless one upmanship, been going at it for decades.

The difference between this Indian team and the ones in the past is the lower order and tail providing valuable runs. Remember Shami and Bumrah scoring a 100 run partnership in England. Who can forget the famous Shardul-Sundar reargaurd action at Gabba. Now axar-Ashwin standing up when needed.
 
We need to introspect deeply about our top order which is not firing consistently. We cannot depend on lower order to bail us out like this each time

Our fast bowlers are still extremely poor with the bat 9 times out of 10, when playing away from the subcontinent. Shardul only played because Shami, Bumrah and Yadav got injured there.
 
If Ashwin played as specialist batsman, he would have been as good as Azhar Ali.
