India (262 & 118/4) defeat Australia (263 & 113) by 6 wickets - Take a 2-0 lead in the series

Was just a matter of time. Ashwin takes out Renshaw too.

Poor review that from Renshaw, more out of hope.

That was as plumb as it gets.

Such an unlucky way to get out, being caught by Kohli in slips.

As expected these aussies are folding down like house of cards, it was only a matter of time. The pitch is also has become almost unplayable. Anything less than 4-0 would be comically criminal from the Indians.

If Indian batsmen lose this match, then its official - This has to be the worst batting lineup of India ever in its history (all time low), losing at home!

Aussies being swept out of this test, 4th batsman to get out while attempting sweep shot.

Need to fold tail for cheap. No more than 30. Then hope for ancestors to guide our shameless batters.

Bazball will never work in India (against this bowling lineup). The only way you can is by having few top quality batsmen (kind of stubborn batsmen to irritate Indian spinners) like Matthew Hayden, Shivanarine Chanderpaul, Andy Flower, Alastair Cook, Gordon Greenidge, Younis Khan, etc.

Aus let slip the match through their finger when they allowed the spin trios to score all those runs. These guys are always going to get wickets in these manufactured pitches, but allowing them to scors runs also is pretty poor from Aus. They seem to have no plan whatsoever against these guys, neither against their bowling nor their batting.

England last time tried out of desperation got bowled out under 150 repeatedly. You need technique patience. Only guys who have this practice would be INdian domestic players. Not even India's main players. Look how Axar batted compared to others.

Lyon has a better defence on these wickets than people like Renshaw, Handscomb, Khawaja, Carey etc

This way we can say even WI, Australia, England, South Africa, NZ manufactured pitches when they won matches!

Lol at manufactured pitches. Some people never learn.

It already is.

Never before in our test history, our top and middle order has been as bad it is for last 3 years.

This aussies batting collapse is as comical as it gets, they are batting as headless, clueless chickens out there

I don't think any Indian top order from last 30 years was so brittle against spinners

9 wickets for Jadeja in this test..Ashwin has 6 although Ashwin picked the big ones in both innings.

Absolutely right! To understand how to bat on these pitches, one should watch Ranji & Irani cup matches! How centuries & double centuries are scored at ease by Indian domestic players! I think the pitches are more or less the same! I don't believe in underpreparing pitches for International matches in such regular intervals (these pitches will look threatening only if they are underprepared! This is more likely to happen in domestic matches rather than international matches). On the other hand it is possible to overprepare pitches in SENA (spicy pitches), and that's what they are probably doing and hence low scores in tests, and Indians are competing very well there without complaining!

Easy win coming up for India. They are ruthless at home. Too much spin and now too less bounce. The arsenal is always there.

RamLakhan Eng offers the most sporting pitches in the world. It's the unpredictable weather you have to deal with. Pitches are no demons. WI? Why are they even in discussion? They haven't been a decent test team for almost 25 years. Rest of them? Yes you can say they prepare manufactured pitches. Specially Nz. Sl was the master of them during Murali era.
MP2011 I see nothing wrong or unethical with these sort of pitches. You must do whatever you can to win at home. Ind just perfected that art.

laughable, They won a crucial toss had India on the ropes with 140/7 in the first inning and batting like clowns in the second inning they deserve all the humiliation they are getting

When I went to eat only 2 wickets were gone and when I came back all the wickets were gone

Those pitches are extremely flat. Stop fooling yourself. India only prepares these sand dunes for tests

So there Eng is playing tests in T20 mode and finishing off quickly
In India its by taking wickets and getting out playing with pathetic technique and mindset...
I guess worldwide a 4 day working mindset is gaining traction, better work life balance :) :ua

We would have struggled if we missed even Jadeja in this series (we already miss Pant and this has a chance to affect in this small chase!)

115 wont be easy against Lyon and co
Hope our guys play it on merit and not bat like punch drunk millionaires

When did you last watch one? Did you watch the final of Ranji trophy? Are you claiming thats a flat pitch?

Need Rahul to do a Rizwan here and ask management to select Gill.

Yeh so much for manufacturered pitches and criticism that even indian lower order scores majority of runs in both tests, such a talented manufacturering.

Haters cal hate as much as they want, but these pitches expose how bad and impatient these SENA players are against the spin.

Noone would have complained if Australia didnt fall like pack of cards in the morning session even though they had a hell of advantage. Now watch india easily win with all usual deadweights like KL,Pujara, kohli getting out early.

Kohli (threatened at his own form) guarded Pujara, Rahane, Rahul, etc for too long instead of grooming players like Gill, Iyer, etc, quickly... Because if we had updated our batting lineup (back to our traditional strength - strong batting unit), then Kohli should have retired by now! (We would have got replacements for everyone... Iyer has replaced Rahane comfortably, Gill can easily replace Rahul if he gets chance...)

Even Sri Lanka when they were in poor form for a while managed to beat this Australian team on a spinning pitch in Galle.

Will never understand why Pakistan under Ramiz chairmanship out of the blue decided to prepare dead flat wickets against Australia.

Have always said this.

It's Kohli and Kohli alone who is to be blamed for our batting woes.

Very very selfish from him.

Yes, and you uncovered a fab bowler in Abrar Ahmad. Imagine if pitches spun and gave assistance, he would have been much better, at least his confidence would be so high.
