SL in final ... Good to see, better than senior jokers who crashed out in first round of Asia Cup'18 recently :19::murali

Wow that’s some power hitting by the two youngsters.

Yuvraj shot to prominence playing a similar knock. Hope Badoni and P. Simran can emulate him in future.

Prabhsimran Singh is a cousin of Anmolpreet Singh. Unfortunately could not make it to the U19 WC side. Hopefully Punjab picks him for Ranji/List A tournaments.

Hemang Badani of Baroda was as powerful stroke player as Ayush Badoni.Badani known for his 6 hit ability even vs Good bowling, he is retired now.

SL 60 for 1 off 14 overs. Dew probably bother indian spinner

Hemang Badani powerful strokeplayer. Really?

I must have seen a different Badani play for India. Was a good bloke but never seened like a hitter.

India win the final in a one-sided contest by 144 runs to become the U-19 Asia Cup Champion

yup, but the match was ridiculously boring. I was expecting a lot better contest.
I was surprised too. May be Bangladesh would be a better opposition in final. Semi was close and India won by 2 run.

India has now won 6 out of the 7 times the U-19 Asia Cup has been staged. Utter domination.
Amazing talent india got. Undisputed King of Asian cricket. Some contries have just have imaginary talent to boost about. We got some real talents and surprisingly our talent are measurable in count of trophies and wins but some other countries talent are measurable in hearts and passion.

This is what I was thinking too or maybe our batsman just played too good for any team at this level. They learned from their mistakes they made in the last two games and composed their inning really well.

yeah but some countries have natural talent(that I haven't been able to understand it's meaning) which we lack :trollface

Clinical youngsta beauties.

Inspiring story about the opener Yashasvi Jaiswal too. Look him up.

At U-19, India has been hands down the most dominant cricket nation in last many years.

Yup.

Along with 6 Asia Cups India also has 4 U-19 WCs which is the highest, including 3 WCs from the last 6 editions.

India have been the best U-19 team over the last decade.

Well done to the team. Was great to see WV Raman as the coach of this young team. As NCA batting coach, he's done great work with the youngsters.

India dominating at every level. The hard work of the last 10-15 years playing off big time.

Need to win the WC to confirm the domination. But then to see the Indian ODI team with so many 31-32 year old TTFs is such a sad state of affairs. As if the message from BCCI is you youngsters are not good emough.

This rot will only get curex when Dhoni, who is shamelessly still continuing, gets booted out

Can we please have just one thread on PP that's not about Dhoni?

It's getting tiresome now. He's here till the WC. Accept it and move on. There's no point talking about this every single day.

He is angry about system but getting to overboard with dhoni. The better system could drop dhoni from it. It is Indian mentality that we don't retire until we are forced to. So blaming dhoni won't help but yes blaming bcci would be the right thing to do.

Privatization of selection commute would be a good start.

The natural talent turns up when u least expect it
Anyone can perform & win when they are favourites
But teams only with natural talent show their real talent when they play as underdogs :najam

He's holding back the development of the shorter formats team. More needs to be highlighted. Only then gradually this thing will be picked up by our media.

2027 WC will have the youngsta beauties plus Thala Dhoni ( for his tactical genius) and Kohli ( for his attacking cricket). Youngsta guys might have to score the runs though.

Media can't do anything, man. If Dhoni decides to play till the WC, he'll play. All we can do is hope that he brings his A game and wins matches for us.

That we know is not going to happen.

And no, Dhoni, despite being all powerful, still will have to bow out if there was a proper media campaign. Remember how he had to ignominiously retire from Tests mid way through the last series in Aus before WC?

Was there any media pressure back then in 2014? I don't recall.
