Let's see if Zimbabwe can retrieve some self respect today
 
Zimbabwe will have a good chance if they win the toss today. Apparently it's going to be a good seaming surface on a chilly day.. Perfect time to catch Indian youngsters off guard.
 
MSD wins toss and its India bowling first.

Bumrah's LIST A (ODI) economy is 3.96. Not bad for an Indian domestic bowler.
 
If zim can score 250 plus will be a good game. Absolutely no experience in batting except Dhoni.

Zimbabwe can find it difficult to score 250 even on a flat pitch against decent bowling attack (Indian bowling is pretty decent here). Gone are the days when Zimbabwe used to be a good unit like Sri Lanka.

Brendon Taylor is retired but who else is missing in their line up? I guess they can score 240-50 if they apply themselves.

If Chahal gains confidence, exposure & experience he will be a value addition to Indian team (One of Ashwin/Jadeja should give way to him considering he is a wrist spinner and has good control). Kohli rather than Dhoni might prefer such options (wicket-keeping) rather than simply suffocating oppositions with bits and piece skills.
 
Whats wrong with Raza ? His strike is always below 50. Waste too many deliveries and gets out playing a nothing shot.
 
Zimbabwe just got a red card before the start of the match.

Sean Williams injured his finger during the warm ups after the line ups were announced. Will neither bat or bowl.

As if things weren't already lopsided.

Even I am not watching.

Considering the partnership was building, it has to be good bowling. But Chahal deserves a chance at Top level.
 
KL Rahul could not have asked for a better start to ODI career. Can see him scoring 150 if we bat first. Hopefully Manish Pandey and Mandeep Singh get chance to open in the next match..

Looks like Manish Pandey won't get a chance to bat in this whole series.
 
Dhawan, Rahul, Rahane and Manish to fight for no.2 and no.4 position in team India. Raina's chances is debatable too although I would stick with him.

Also, just found out that Manish Pandey is 26 already ( For comparison Virat Kohli is 27), also Kedar Jadav is 31 and Rayudu is 30. What's point of Rayudu and Jadav being on this tour?
 
Nice to see MS bonding with the youngsters. For all the flak he receives, I think he can be a good mentor to youngsters.
 
Oh god this series is so dull :69: hope Zim wins the toss at least next time.

Absolutely, he is in the league of Sachin, Ganguly, Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli (in terms of building innings, technique & stroke play though its early days). But he should play in Top 3 (with No.3 fixed for Kohli, he only has chance as opener!) Will Indian Selectors break their unnecessary trust on Rohit-Dhawan pair and see where the real hope is? (Even Australia winning trophies after trophies didn't stick to any player adamantly! If they saw another player with more potential & promise, they just took the bold decision. That's how they went stronger & stronger)

Rahul will get his chance. He will open for India in near future.

Rayudu.

Which is why he can screw us so bad.

If Behardien was in Indian setup, he won't score so many runs.

But Rayudu will at snail's pace and maintain his spot.

He is a very good player, that century against Australia made me a fan!
Indian team management must give him a long run in ODIs and T-20s. Maybe he can replace Dhawan after some time ? .

At least Behardien can bowl some time, and recently a match winning kock by him against mighty Australia.

Thought it's a selection between who is worst one? :))

Yea, I should have clearly said 'worst' instead of 'best'.. :))

My vote goes to Indian legend.. Rayudu :P
 
What is the purpose of Rayadu in the team? He will never play a head of Rohit and he is old too.

Why not test out some real youngsters? Rayadu can stick to IPL and earn crores.

with Raina out of contention he can easily slot in that vacant no5 spot but he is competing with manish pandey for that place!!
 
Rahul will keep Dhawan in his toes he is going to be india's back up opener in ODIS and t20s and obviously the first choice in tests

Dhawans only advantage over KL was that he could shift the gears if needed. That advantage is over now.
 
Zimbabwe couldnt beat BD in a single ODI game in the last 8 ODIs now they can't even compete against India A team
