And that 4-1 was lot closer than it looks.
Imagine Rahane in that series.
Kohli has to go man.

IMO we'll brush aside England easy. They don't have enough fuel in the tank to last these long series in Ind/Aus beyond a solitary win or draw here or there.
Impressive, we pretty much beat this India team to a pulp in 2018 4-1
Yeah. One thing is for certain. It won't have been 4-1 for sure.Imagine Rahane in that series.
Kohli has to go man.
At home on doctored pitches and with a Dukes ball in hand.Big deal. Let's see what England do in the Ashes later this year.
Yeah. Anything less than 3-1 will be counted as a failure on our part.Maybe but we shouldn't underestimate them.
Especially that Anderson.
We gotta be ruthless.
When were they doctored pitches, no England test pitches were exploding after the ball pitched on the first day of play.

Still remember Pujara dropped in first 2 Tests
Comes back to score a ton in Southampton
The match winning innings were played by Kohli (102 and 98) Pujara's knock was a good support knock much like kohlis 83 at mcg.And a match winning 70 in Trent Bridge I think.
That was totally justified.Still remember Pujara dropped in first 2 Tests

That was totally justified.
Pujara was awful in south africa and averaged in teens in county cricket.
Once India dropped Sehwag bcoz his away outputs weren't good enough.

England make pitches to suit their strengths. Pitches that offer seam movement throughout have been the norm for a few years now We all know what happens to English bowlers on true wickets with a kookaburra in hand. And it's not like England cant make batting wickets. In the 2005-2014 period, the pitches were consistently batter friendly. And England lost 4 series at home in that period. So much for preparing and doing well on sporting pitches.
It'll go to day 4 in any case with india batting 1-2 session or entire day or England batting 3rd session and goes to full day.
They were doctored enough for Anderson to play all tests, and not chicken out like in this one.

“Doctored pitches” which previous generations of Indian batters scored zillions on.
India’s problem in England is that, apart from Kohli, they don’t have the skills to score in England in damp air.
That's not true, due to the inconsistent nature of the weather even in the summer period the conditions rather than the wickets are what you have to get used to, a good covering of grass on a hot day at old Trafford won't mean swing and seam but will be a true batting belter, yet a wicket with a good covering of grass on a overcast day will be tricky.
Schedule an appointment with your local MP and petition to never have England tour on those evil Indian or Australian pitches again. Dukes ball only.
Match is going to be over within 3 days. Pretty poor pitch by any standards tbh.
Australian pitches are fantastic, no complaints from me , even Mark Waugh questioning the state of the wicket on this current India v England test.
Yep, on a another note when Johnny bairstow zak Crawley back?
Next test we should take out Kuldeep and get in Bumrah..
Crawley defo.
I want to keep Foakes as he is best keeper and gave the top six a batting lesson today. So where to put Buttler?
Just need Burns in form. If Hameed starts the season well he could see a place opening up.
3 pacers? I'd say Bumrah and Ishant with Sundar to replace Kuldeep
It is pink ball test.
Bumrah
Ishant
Siraj
Ashwin
Axar
Looks best in my opinion.

Buttler and bairstow are a massive loss, they can change a course of the game like Rohit has done on this type of wicket

England should just write off this match and prepare for next one lol
I don’t much rate Bairstow in tests, he’s an ODI player. Should only play tests if someone gets injured.

Definitely a doctored pitch clear response from India after losing first test.

Let's see if India can make some runs in 2nd go here.
Who cares man. If you can't play on the pitch that is provide stop playing test cricket in these parts.
You must have a short memory or old age is catching up with you, The First test was not long ago on a normal looking test pitch ... il give you The honour for the conclusion.
PUjara might score runs here. Rahane very rarely does well in both the innings. Kohli might score a 50. You have to factor in India's last 4 batsmen are worth 5 runs. No more than that. Basically they won't last more than 5 overs. Essentially all the runs have to be made by top 7.
If England had batted second you would be whining about that pitch also. It is part and parcel of the game. If you can't play don't tour. Just say "i am scared of pitches that turn" and stay home.
Clearly you have no clue what a "doctored" pitch is.
I don't think it's a rank turner and bounce is pretty much even. batsmen simply have to apply themselves. Two English batsmen did it for a period and it was great to watch.
Constantly talking about Pitch is non-sense. As long as a pitch is safe to bat without uneven bounce, there is nothing wrong with pitch turning from day one. Many pitches turn from day one. The problem is only with rank turners making it a lottery and the result has very little to do with skills.
NZ puts green mamba from time to time and the match gets done in 3 days. I don't see how those pitches are better than rank turners which also last for 3 days.
mate stop living in denial.. or defending these poor tactics by Indian team. This is a disgraceful pitch.
There are only poor players. No poor pitches. Sure if it is dangerous to batsmen. Calling this a poor pitch is like Trump crying about the election fraud.
I don't think the pitch was that bad honestly. This was a case of pitch playing on the minds of the English players more than the actual pitch itself. Pant made an easy 50 towards the end of India Inngs, Ben Foakes looked good for his 42* and India are already 50-1 and will probably score 200+. If England batted well and not the pitch scare them, it was a 230-250 type pitch not 130.
This is a doctored pitch a clear response form losing on fairer pitch.. It leave a bad taste as it makes you feel like you need this added advantage to win at home. The pitch was under prepared even a day before the test match.
What your opinion on this pitch?
