India becomes the first ever team to defeat 6 different countries in a T20i series on trot.

So far on this tour India is leadin 3-2. Good comeback after first two matches.

Anyway, main event is test series and thats all matters in the end.

Without warner austrlia are half a side in t20s india were always faviroutes

C'mon bro India have a much better record vs every team in t20. I believe only n.z is 7-8 vs India. Close.

India were without bumrah Shami Bhuvi Rohit and pant/Ishan.

Aussies without Starc Cummins Warner and finch. Hazelwood is a weak t20 player.

Overall India is the better T20 side at full strength. India is qual in odi to Aussies.

What is your thoughts of natarajan bowling in tests ?? Can selection committee take risk??

The Tour match is interesting. Umesh Yadav bowled with pace and control, even better than Siraj today. I wonder who will play the first test.

India should field 4 fast bowlers (Bumrah, Shami, Umesh, Siraj) + Ashwin for the first test.

will be interesting to see which one of Gill or Shaw gets the nod for the second openers slot.

Ravindra Jadeja is likely to miss the first two tests due to concussion and hamstring.
So now there are 4 main players missing from our team-
Kohli
Rohit
Ishant
Jadeja

Looks like it will be India A vs Aus.

LOL at India going to lose in 3 days against Australia A, what a pathetic team India are.

According to fox cricket, 2nd ODI had record ratings breaking 2015 world cup final ratings.

First ODI had average rating during first half but increased when India batted

Wouldn't you say this is India A as well?

Having said that, they should have performed better. This is a big reality check and indication of what's coming. I hope they get more practice and improve their game between now and the first test.

LOL at India going to lose in 3 days against Australia A, what a pathetic team India are.

Australia should have been allout for around 150 in the first innings. But thanks to the Indian fielders who dropped 2 sitters off Cameron Green and then the umpires turned down two plumb lbw calls looks like this is the only way they could compete against this indian Z team in their home conditions.

Lol will be funny if you get crushed by India after all this talk. Chill man. It's a practice, innit. Besides India will miss Kohli after game 1.
Ishant
Rohit and Bhuvi and Jadeja for the first 2 games.

Still will be a competitive series because India is just good.

Rohit, Bhuvi and Jadeja are not misses in tests.
They have hardly played an overseas test. Ashwin is preferred to Jadeja and you were not going to play both, Bhuvi, even fit, would not even be in the squad.
Rohit Sharma, well, when was his last overseas test?
Ishant is a miss in the playing XI, and so will be Kohli.

Ishant is a huge miss
Kohli after test 1 is a huge miss.

Bhuvi is a massive miss whether you like it or not. He is a brilliant support bowler. He had a good average and he is a world class test bowler. Bhuvi Ishant bumrah and sami is supposed to be our attack for Sena condtions. And Bhuvi can bat.

Jadeja is better than Ashwin in Sena. Look at his record. Jaddu at 7 and Bhuvi at 8 would be perfect. Ideally pandya at 7 in SENA.

Also last but not least, Rohit is finding some form recently and he actually has an average of 45 plus at number 6. Just saying. He scored a fifty in Australia last time in tests too.

I hope Pucovski is ok.

This is the new India. Terryfying on bouncy tracks. Mind you this is our string attack.
Australia would be stupid to prepare proper bouncy wickets. They won't. They will prepare flat bouncy tracks.

I hope puckowsii is ok.

What i meant is india can win without sharma but austrlia cant without warner in t20s and odis

I think India would pick their performances up as the series goes by and win one and draw another.

Unfortunately for us, I think we will lose the pink ball test (despite Kohli) and the Brisbane test. We might draw the Boxing day test and win the Sydney one.

This would finally boil down to our inconsistent batting which is going to be heavily dependent on Rahane and his scores as Pujara would be a marked man for this series (and hence his returns might not be much this time).

Rahul and his inconsistent test form and the inexperience of green horns like Gill might be additional contributing factors.

However with sufficient time between the MCG and Sydney tests, with good spinners as a base we can win the Sydney test if our batting gives a 400+ first innings score.

Having said all this, how I wish India soar on the fact that the expectations are low this time and spring a surprise! Go India, with you always regardless of results.

He won't play until at least the 3rd Test.

In Australia we are very strict when it comes to brain injuries.

He has mild concussion from recent reports.

I suppose. We struggle without Rohit in odi though. Rohit, Bhuvi arekey players. But not as dependent as Aussies with Warner though.

David Warner ruled out of first Vodafone Test in Adelaide David Warner has been ruled out of the first Vodafone Test against India in Adelaide and will target a possible return for the Boxing Day Test.

Warner, who injured his adductor muscle during the second Dettol ODI against India, will remain in Sydney to continue his rehabilitation and specialised treatment while the majority of the Australian Test squad travel to Adelaide today (Wednesday).

“I feel I have made great progress in a short amount of time and it’s best for me to stay here in Sydney to continue working on getting back to full fitness,” Warner said.

“The injury feels a lot better, but I need to be able to satisfy in my own mind and to my team-mates that it is 100 per cent ready for Test match conditions.

“That includes running between the wickets and being agile in the field. Right now I feel I am short of being able to play at peak fitness and another 10 days will make a difference.”

Australian men’s Head Coach Justin Langer said Warner’s supreme fitness levels gave the side great confidence he may be fully fit for the second Vodafone Test.

“If there is one guy you know will go well above and beyond that’s Dave,” Langer said.

“He has done an incredible job to get to where he is today and we hope to have a fully fit David Warner at his absolute best in Melbourne.”

The day-night first Vodafone Test against India starts on December 17 at the Adelaide Oval.

INDIA FINED FOR MINIMUM OVER-RATE IN THIRD T20I AGAINST AUSTRALIA

India have been fined 20 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate against Australia in the third T20I held at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Tuesday.

David Boon of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after India was one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.

In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined 20 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.

Captain, Virat Kohli pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires Rod Tucker, Gerard Abood, TV umpire Paul Wilson, and fourth umpire Sam Nogajski levelled the charge.

Australia A squad to play India at the Sydney Cricket GroundThe National Selection Panel has announced the following 12-man Australia A squad to play India in a three-day tour game at the Sydney Cricket Ground, beginning on December 11:

Sean Abbott (New South Wales)
Joe Burns (Queensland)
Alex Carey (South Australia) (c)
Harry Conway (New South Wales)
Cameron Green (Western Australia)
Marcus Harris (Victoria)
Moises Henriques (New South Wales)
Nic Maddinson (Victoria)
Ben McDermott (Tasmania)
Mark Steketee (Queensland)
Will Sutherland (Victoria)
Mitchell Swepson (Queensland)

National Selector Trevor Hohns said four members of Australia’s Test squad would play in the day-night tour match at the SCG.

“Joe Burns, Cameron Green, Sean Abbott and Mitchell Swepson will derive great benefit from playing high quality opposition against the pink ball in the final tour match,” Hohns said.

“All have enjoyed an excellent preparation for the Vodafone Test series and the NSP believes a final hit-out against India’s bowlers under lights will round it out nicely.

“They will join the rest of the Australian Test squad in Adelaide at the conclusion of the tour match for what promises to be a thrilling Test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.”

Cameron Green will debut for Australia in the baggy green, well done young man, pound those Indians into the dust again.

Australia A bowling well. Decimated India in pink ball. Hopefully boys get a good feel of the pink ball. Well done Aussie A

Omg really ? 200 cm player..how the hell does he get hit in the head?

Green will be fine I am sure. But puckovski must not play at all .this is way too dangerous for him. God sake. He has had 10 concussions. Australia should get banned if they play him regardless whether he is talented or not.

Thing is- if Pucjovski passes all the medical tests & wants to play... then how do the selectors leave him out? They aren't medical experts, just cricket experts & the doctors in Oz make those calls based on a published set of tests/protocols (on CA website).

If he passes the tests & they don't pick him- are they in fact saying he can't be picked & needs to find a new career? On what grounds? He's either fit & plays or selectors are saying he's too much of a risk & can never be picked- in which case, a player might seek legal recourse since he's satisfied all medical conditions & non experts have unfairly discriminated against him based on past mental health. They'll be sued up the wazoo in Oz for that.

Australia vs India: Rohit Sharma Clears Fitness Test, To Leave For Australia On December 14

Rohit Sharma cleared the much-awaited fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and will head for Australia on December 14.

Rohit Sharma has cleared the fitness test held at NCA in BengaluruRohit Sharma is set to leave for Australia on December 14. Rohit Sharma had suffered a hamstring injury during IPL 2020 India on Friday received a massive boost ahead of the start of the four-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia. Star batsman Rohit Sharma. who underwent a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, has been passed fit and will leave for Australia on December 14. Rohit Sharma had suffered a hamstring injury during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 season but took part in the final. He was, however, deemed unfit for the rigors of Test cricket, and went to the NCA for rehabilitation.

India already will be without captain Virat Kohli after the first Test end in Adelaide after he was given paternity leave. The news of Rohit Sharma regaining full fitness will surely be a huge sigh of relief for the Indian camp in Australia.

Rohit will go into quarantine after reaching Australia, it is unclear how long he will stay in isolation before he is allowed to join the rest of the squad.

And while he will definitely not be part of the playing XI in the first Test, there is no confirmation on his availability for the second match.

India plays a four-Test series against Australia, starting on December 17 in Adelaide. The visitors will be looking to replicate the successes of the last tour, when the team, led by Virat Kohli, became the first Indian side to win a Test series Down Under.

However, one thing that went in India's favor during that series was the bans on Steve Smith and David Warner.

And while Smith will be part of the playing XI for the Test, Warner has been sidelined due to injury. The hosts will hope Warner is fit for the second Test that begins in Melbourne on December 26.

Expect India Tests to be more fiery than ODIs & T20Is: Pat Cummins

After the cordial commune of the ODIs and T20Is, Pat Cummins expects the Test series, starting from December 17, to bring the aggression out.

There has been a lot of goodwill and friendliness going around this Australia-India summer so far. From Cameron Green being surprised by KL Rahul's niceties behind stumps to Aaron Finch and Rahul sharing a laugh after the Aussie skipper was hit, the limited-overs leg of this two-month-long tour has belied the intense India-Australia sporting rivalry that has taken shape in recent times.

But the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy is less than a week away and that means things could change. Remember India's tour to Australia in 2018-19, when at different points, both captains - Virat Kohli and Tim Paine - were involved in heated exchanges?

After the cordial commune of the ODIs and T20Is, Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins expects the Test series, starting with the day-night game in Adelaide from December 17, to bring the aggression out.

“I wouldn't be surprised if with the players getting baked in the sun a couple of more hours each day, the Test matches get a little fiery,” Cummins said, speaking in a virtual press conference on Friday.

“I think it's [the tour] been quite friendly in terms of banter - you see a lot of smiling faces around. That said, you see a lot of quick bowling out there, lots of batters taking the game on. So, I won't say that the actual match play has been overly friendly, it's been really competitive and hard. How we play the game reflects who we are as people and for the most part, the Aussie team is a pretty relaxed bunch, we like a bit of a laugh, so let's see what happens in this series.”

Kohli is set to miss three out of the four Tests as he is due to return home for the birth of his first child. In the six limited-overs internationals against Australia in 12 days, Kohli has shown sporadic sparks of brilliance with the bat.

There was the 61-ball 85 in the final T20I in Sydney which India lost, and then the 87-ball 89 in the second ODI at the same venue; yet again in a losing cause. The Indian captain would want to stamp his authority in whites one last time in 2020 when the Adelaide Test gets underway. And Cummins weighed in on the challenge of bowling to Kohli. "I know he's the captain, so of course, you want to get into that contest because it's a really important part of the game," he said.

"I'm happy I don't have to bowl to Steve smith. I saw Kane Williamson's double hundred last week. So, I'm pretty glad I'm not playing there [in New Zealand] as well. I think when you are in the moment, you try and maybe lift [the rivalry with the opposition batsman] a little bit. You sense it at the wicket when someone walks out there. In terms of how it affects the overall storyline, I don't think about it too much. But growing up as kids, they are the kind of contests that you tuned into TV. I remember (Glenn) McGrath bowling to (Brian) Lara; you had to watch it because you knew something was going to happen. I like being in those moments, let's see what happens this summer."

Asked whether the Aussie think tank has come up with a game plan to counter Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored 521 runs and faced 1258 deliveries on the 2018-19 tour, Cummins said: "To be honest, we haven't spoken yet. We only got into the camp a couple of days ago. We will sit down and have a couple of meetings and like we do at most training sessions, the bowlers will be talking to each other and come out with some plans. I must concentrate on what I do well as a bowler and the same goes for the other guys. Of course, you might tweak your plans slightly for a certain batter, but hopefully, a couple of years on, we are all better equipped as bowlers."

He was bowling and had the ball smashed back at him by the batsman, hit him straight in the face!

That's why India. Bowlers are world class. Wanted to see Camo face bumrah and Shami though. Oh well. The more camo plays the more we can study him and game plan vs him. Wreck him after. Right now it's a bit hard given he has a novelty factor like Jamieson in home Condtions. More tape my boys. Will be avalablible soon..

Wow this day night with the pink ball is scary.. Saw the whole day live on Sony HD Live, Indian bowlers looked like WI bowlers of the 80s, they were unplayable, felt terrible for Harris Conway poor guy got hit on the head and ribs so many times, hope he is ok... Australian 9 down...

The pink ball is truly something different under the lights. As lights are on, the ball tends to do much more in the air and off the surface of the pitch. Batting is incredibly difficult in those conditions.

India need to sort out Prithvi Shaw pretty soon, I have no idea as to what he is doing in each format. He's playing tests like T20s, and in T20s, we saw his poor performances in the IPL. He is truly talented but he needs to become a bit more patient instead of chasing random shots.

ya
Every bouncer going to helmet, Batsmen are struggling under light.

We better play with 4 fast bowlers in pink test.
Bhumra
Shami
Umesh
Siraj

Not a massive fan of D/N tests. The team batting under lights is in a huge disadvantage. Test cricket should always be under day light with red cherry.

Still wondering how FTB Warner scored that unbeaten 335 in a day-night test under lights

Still wondering how FTB Warner scored that unbeaten 335 in a day-night test under lights

Because Pakistan suck? Duh.

Anyway India should pick all 4 Pacers and just Jadeja. Wish pandya could play. We could have played with so balance. Imo if we pick the balanced team with jaddu and pandya (had he been eligible to bowl) plus 3 Pacers I reckon we would win the series 2-1.

Without Ishant, buvi and pandya for balance, I would say 2-1 Aussies.

This is why I am so proud of this Indian side. Not once have we played our absolute full strength side and yet they still performed well apart from the n.z series.

Had we been able to play the correct players for balance in n.z, I have no doubt we would have won there. Missed a trick there due to injuries. Also lack of test prep.

We will gun them eventually. Let's go.

I am confused about who should be in XI for the first test.

Sure starters (5):
Kohli
Pujara
Rahane
Bumrah
Shami

Most likely (3):
Ashwin
Mayank Agarwal
Saha

Toss-up (3 out of 8):
Hanuma Vihari
Shubman Gill
Prithvi Shaw
KL Rahul
Rishabh Pant
Umesh yadav
Navdeep Saini
Mohd Siraj

I think batting first is better. Chasing anything above 200 is difficult for our team.

Always bat. so that we have some runs before the 3rd session

Good. Lets see how many tosses we are going to win.

India's Tour of Australia in 2018, India Won: 2-1 (4 match)
Kohli won 3 tosses. (2 wins, 1 Draw)

India' Tour of England in 2018, England Won: 4-1 (5 Match)
Kohli lost all 5 tosses.

Even with all the injuries we have Australia will win 4-0.

Our players are dropping like ninepins, but we have good depth in our bowling stocks, our batting is brittle with all the injuries.

We are still going to smash these Indians.

All ifs and buts.

Come back when you actually beat our full strength team. Just like we dint beat Aussies at full strength. They never faced our full strength team either. So.....yea. neither did England when they beat India after winning all tosses.

For those of you celebrating the India vs Australia A game, don’t take it as representative at all.

https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...-pakistanis-tour-match-1206142/full-scorecard

No one cares about A game. We batted like trash too. Bumrah of all people scored a 55 not out lmao. He smashed green around too and then even managed to hurt him accidentally.

If India picks the correct balanced team with our full strength players, Australia will find it very difficult. They don't get to face the full strength side though.
