I respect that, but here is the thing, you have a player in Yuvi, who is simply a match winner, and probably the best fielder in your side, already a lock for ODIs for many more years, make him happy and have him play test cricket, it is only gonna make him a better player. There is no question, Yuvi has to be in there, but good for us anyway.
 
Dinakar, not saying that drop Laxman. Drop Ganguly or Jaffer(sorry dont know much about jaffer)

Easy runs available off Kaneria. Fielders are too deep for my liking and the positioning of a long-off still puzzles me. You have got to challenge the unorthodox batsman to go for his shots rather than give him easy runs

Only way to do that is to attack him and invite him to go for his shots. Someone point this out to our kaptaan who is allowing Dhoni to play himself in

Laxman has the class to match the best in this line-up and can match and outshine even Tendulkar. A victim of politics, he was eased out of the ODI squad [he was India's highest ODI rungetter in 2004 with 3 hundreds in Australia and one against Pak in Pak in the final].

Put a man under pressure and he will not perform upto his potential. If anyone cares to look back at the series against Eng and earlier against SA, one will see that this man comes when there is pressure and battles it out with class and dignity.

Yuvi will have to wait. Good as he is, he is not in the test-class as Laxman.
 
Shoaib has to be the one to do it, can't see it coming from Kanny.

Pakistani ground fielding has been excellent so far...very impressed.

You gotta love these moments, can't wait for his next over, he has got Dhoni mad already, and akhtar got him out in the one day series all the time, I am smelling a wicket of Dhoni in the next over.

This has to be the most impressive spell of bowling from Akhtar for a while

not captain's problem. this is test match and all teams have that field.
our bowlers need to bowl according to field. coz 2 fielders on leg side gonna b palce on boundry for hook shot

the fielders are back for the pull shot...and even if indian dont pull, that fields stop them from coming forward to play the faster ones bringing the lbw into the equation.

India on top now with only 70 odd behind with a partnership of 69.

Wickets are crucial, India can still end up with a 100 run lead.
 
AKmal starting to wobble a bit - just the second day of the 1st test - not good.
 
think shoaib should have bowled one more over, as per cricinfo, Dhoni was edgy against him
3 overs in this situation are too short spell
 
They just showed FOUR let offs by Kamran .....two of them by for byes!
 
This is the last recognised pair for India. We really need a wicket now. Come on Pakistan. Don't throw away the dominance and hard work of the previous session.
 
Malik needs his thinking cap now - he cannot just keep on bowling Danish for ever and sit back...
