500 up. Can't remember the last time we scored this much.

It's just like the old days.
 
The mistake was committed when Clarke persisted with Henriques when Kumar came out to the middle.
 
200 up for Dhoni magnificent innings, Outstanding stuff 200 from just 230 balls at a S/R of 86 on a Turning track, really Outstanding stuff.
Take a bow Dhoni!

What a humble guy, no celebration really. Just gentle appreciation to applause.
 
Epic double from MS, could very much be a matchwinning ton and it's not over yet. The OZ bowlers look tired and out of ideas

His hair was the worst when he made his debut, and when he shaved it off completely the day after the WC. Anything today is better than both of those times.
 
The track is looking a lot better for batting than it was in Days 1 and 2 though. I think if the OZ bat well we can force a draw out of it.
 
Awesome player, but I did say before the series...Aussies will struggle without a decent bowlers.

Barring Pattinson the rest have been poor.
 
I expect Warner to have a field day tbh.

I hope he does, nothing better than watching the likes of Warner/Watson play well.

Similar reaction by the Aussies in their 2010 tour when Hauritz was bowling pies, then the pitch always turned into a minefield when North and co. came out to bat.

Has definitely got slower plus Siddle and Starc being totally ineffective hasn't helped Aussies. Is Siddle struggling with fitness? Hasn't bowled much.
 
Certainly Dhoni's day, a fantastic captain's knock. I think he may keep batting till tea or till 20 overs before stumps tomorrow (assuming India don't get bowled out) and force the OZ to bat last. If the wicket deteriorates further the OZ having to bat on the last day to save the Test will be huge pressure.

The whole day belonged to India and Dhoni. Aus is in deep deep trouble now. Dhoni looks immovable out in the middle. Even 600 is a possibility I would say. As it stands now an India win 70%, Draw 20% and an Aus win 10% imo. India definitely in the box seat.
 
I also have a gut feeling that Harby may run through the Aussie line up in their 2nd innings

That picture is probably fake, he didn't shave it during the Kiwi tour. It was the day after the WC final.

Well India is 8-down not 4-down. If we even manage to bat out the whole 1st session, assuming we get 200 lead, we should declare.

There is nothing for their quickies, plus Chennai heat and humidity doesn't help at all.
Pattionson started with 150 kmph yesterday was down in mid 130 EOD today.
Experienced bowlers would still know how to bowl in these conditions but these are bunch of rookies.
In England weather and pitches will be a lot better. Don't write them off just as yet. :)

Mitchell starc has been a disappointment in this match. In fact, apart from Pattinson, none of the other bowlers have made an impact. Not enough pressure was applied to force the batsmen to commit mistakes. siddle seemed perfect for that role but its evident that hes out of sorts.
