err ..i said comfortably ? i would like to see that post .

i always give India 50% chance chasing any total between 280 and 325 , just cos of our batting ..i dont remember saying anything different in the last game ...Aus dont have a history of chasing big totals & very rarely against inida , so i cant see them chasing anything beyond 280 here

I wish I was as meticulous as JeeraBlade and could pull out some matches where the Aussies have chased big against India. But I'm really too lazy.

As much as I despise Gautam, he is the most talented batsman in India right now.
 
Dont u guys get sick of this Pak/ind rivary sumtimes, its clear that none of Pakistanis want India to win here but rubbish like 350 A MINIMUM NEEDED really ticks me off.

Im a Pakistani myself but talk sense goddd damn.

Can you not see the score currently? At this rate they should in theory get to 350+ comfortably.

I rely on my memory , which frankly is not that gr8 these days :( but will be surprised if there are more than one or two matches Aus have chased 270+ totals against India

thats called playing above par .6+ rpo anywhere has to be above par ..you talk as if any team would score 350+ by default here

Saying "They should get this score" has nothing to do with your previous point which was "A 350 minimum needed". This obviously means that anything below that Aussies will chase easily according to your ridiculous theory.

WHY DO I HAVE TO TALK COMMON SENSE HERE.

266 is the highest ever chased by Australia against India. While India's highest chase against the Aussies is 275. Both teams chased a total in excess of 250 against each other 3 times. :)

yeah , 275 in CB series , 272 in Sharjah ..which is the other one ..so its pretty much , who ever bats first and put a good total wins between these two teams lately

hmm.....the 275 I mentioned is chasing a target of 272. The other two are 251 each. Are you sure about the 275 or maybe I checked it wrong.

we chased two fairly big totals in CB series , am pretty sure one was 270 +

We have 24 successful chases over 270 but only one against aussies, 7 against england, 6 against Pakistan, 3 - NZ, 3 - SL, 2 - SA.
 
Okay, India seems to be set for a big total. Might be difficult for Ponting and the ten others.

The elite tournaments dhoni lost and the cup he won in t20 was a bit of luck otherwise it was pakistan in 07

think only Ross Taylor comes close ...digging out yorkers to 6s , thats just a Dhoni Special .
 
As for Dhoni's captaincy, we are number 2 in ICC ODI rankings currently, and we may as well be number 1 if we manage to win this ODI tournament.

The highest score Aussies have chases against us was somehting like 284. they have NEVER chased 300+ against India

But have won ODI series in all countries incluidng Aussies (SA is an exception but last ODI series in Ireland we defeated them 2-1) and many overseas test series
 
The highest Australia have successfully chased in ODIs is 326 against South Africa in 2002.

Need somebody to do what Dhoni did and then some.

So ? He only led his side in ODI's in OZ to victory, then later beat them in the test series back in India... Last time I checked your team didnt win CT either and that both our teams are 1-1 as far as winning t20 WC goes..

Who is Comparing Dhoni with Afridi here and Shahid has his own class Afridi has also many times win games for pakistan recently t20s don't forget Kanpur how he treat the bowlers .Dhoni As I say is very lucky guy and opportunist guy. When Afridi made his debut he was just a kid and he blast his way in international arena.but was misguided that's why his average is not good.As compare to Dhoni. Dhoni come through proper channel like A team domestic team. So These two guy are totally have come from different angle and perspective but both are Super Stars for both Of Nation .

Forget about being superstars, what matters is who delivers for their team time and again. Afridi in another 500 lives can't play an innings like Dhoni played today. As for that game against us in Kanpur, that exactly shows what kind of a batsman Afridi is. His performances are so rare (once in 200 matches) that you can virtually remember every time he scores some runs with the bat.

What's hilarious is when some of those Afridi fan boys som,e months were comparing the two and saying how Afridi is much better.

Well done India. Impressive batting from the likes of Dhoni and Raina at the end there. I wish Pakistan could learn a thing or two from India. Like rotating the strike at a good rate and hitting 6s in the final 10 overs.

Good luck Australia you'll be needing it.
