India lead by 74 runs with 9 wickets remaining in the 1st innings as we resume action on Day 3. Massive partnership (294*) approaching 300.

Don't pull your trigger just as yet Shaheer, if someone can bat alongside Clarke then it would be close...

Che is just 15 away from 1000 test runs.. He's done it all at 70!!

I'm bored. Sehwag should've still been at the crease, or somebody should get out to let Sachin in.

Pujara's good to watch, but Vijay is so one-dimensional

I'll say it again - this is pretty sad to watch !

The question now is - will India play for a win, and declare with decent lead...... Instead of batting for too long, and risk a draw??

India should declare by day's end. Pitch will start aiding spin on 4th day, so bat till then and don't let the Aussies bat on day 3.

I would suggest taking the same approach yesterday. Pre lunch grind Australia by giving away no wickets, start accelerating after lunch (4 RPO) and go for the kill post tea (5-6RPO). That should give us 600+ runs by the end of the day.

This is just getting sad but Clarke bought this upon himself with his stupid selections. Maxwell wouldn't even make the NZXI...

:)) That crowd absolutely cheered like crazy when Murali Vijay was dismissed (for obvious reasons). The whole stadium completely erupted.

117.4 Maxwell to Vijay, OUT, Maxwell finally get a wicket for India, but the crowd is playing with Aussie heads with the loudest cheer of the day. Short of a length, but turns and bounces against the angle, Vijay fends a simple catch to backward short leg. The crowd goes mad not for Maxwell's maiden Test wicket, but because the next man in is Sachin Tendulkar. This is the fourth-highest partnership for India ever

This australian batting line up will fold in a day or less the only hope of surviving is another Clarke masterclass

The umpires finding one way or another to review the decisions.

I get a feeling Pujara will be eaten alive by the SA attack in SA, i mean the guy can't even play a short ball on a dead track.

And i just forgot Tendulkar showed his honesty once again by not walking.

The Indians seem to have gone into hibernation, now i wonder why :sachin

I don't get why X isn't bowling on leg and middle he's getting enough spin to knock over off

Indians watching match live. They have not had such a good test in a while.
No offence I have no idea why people have shown up for games this series. The last series where india won 2-0 was much better yet had little to no attendance.

188 ahead & 54 overs left . would love to see Aussies bat for 20 overs today & lose a couple .What do guys think of the pitch ? can Australia bat for over 100 overs ?

Team is Australia.

lead is 200 & 48 overs left in the day . MSD must declare after 20 overs .

When was the last time your team had a 350 run partnership?

2006, Younis and Yousaf.
In England against England.
Unlike you FTB's.
Come to think of it we also had another partnership
451, 1973, Miandad and Muddasar Nazar.
When was the last time you had a 450 run partnership?
Oh i just remembered the answer is never.

precisely 45 overs left & we are 219 ahead . We must look to score 70+ in next 15 overs & declare . let us not give a chance to Aussies to draw this test .

This is the weakest Aussies side , I guess even Bangladesh would fancy beating them in home.

Now kohli & Jaddu will do a 30 run partnership from 100 balls & kill the match .

That is not 1973, the info is incorrect. That partnership was against hapless Indian bowling during the 1982-83 series.

yea i remember....even gavaskar was telling this yesterday that how zaheer abbas was waiting that patership to get broken

I really hope the Australian selectors learn a lesson from this. This obsession with bits and pieces players has to stop. Our spin bowling cupboard is almost bare, but we should Atleast pick the best spinners we have ...... You have to wonder how many more chances Cowan will be given too...

This is the worst period of Australian cricket in decades...

^^^ed cowan??he looked impressive against sri lanka series......its philip hughes,,,,who is struggling with form

IIT student invents programming language ‘C-Shastri’ that uses Ravi Shastri’s cliches as commands

C-Shastri has already received a thumbs-up from Infosys founder Narayanmurthy. “To my mind, C-Shastri seems to be the answer to reduce employee attrition and improve productivity. And given that everyone at Infosys anyway browses Cricinfo or watches live streams of matches instead of coding, we might save a ton of money in training these guys in C-Shastri. Will ask my MD to adopt C-Shastri pronto,” said the software mogul to The UnReal Times.
