we would be very greatful :iqasim

Plan B, not sure.

We'e getting acquainted with our cricketing auqat in this post Dravid/ Laxman/ declining SRT world.

Boycott - 'the only mystery about Ashwin is whether to hit it for 2 or 4'

:))) :))) :)))

India should try Mishra , a leg spinner is more attacking. He was okay. Let him have a few games.

These two are playing it exactly right. Loads of time left in this match, we just need to bat all day tomorrow, rack up a massive lead & then let the spin twins loose. Hopefully Swanny will have recovered from his illness by then.

:msdThis looks an all time low Indian performance in Home tests..................no reliable Batter left :kohli........Bowlers exctinting like PAndas n Rhinos :sami....fieldding :jf

IMO Herath didn't perform well against likes of Aus, RSA, and tough opponents but Narine has

England are all over India here, with a foot on the throat.

Indian bowlers need to regroup and get a plan together for tomorrow.

Surprised Zaheer khan can still bowl, looks like hes on his last legs!

1.Ajmal
2.Narine
3.Hafeez
4.Herath
5.swan
6.Razzaq

#.Ashwin
#.Ojha

i can remember only these at the moment

If you are basing this on test cricket you cannot have Narine above Swann, if you are basing it on all 3 forms of the game you can't have Herath above Swann.

The botamline is that India will need at least 3 more wickets before England wipe of that lead, otherwise it will be very tough to save the game , unless Indian bat out of skins.

Captain Cook sailing the English ship well and truly ahead of India.

Just trailing by 100 runs. Wonderful day for us, now we have to make this count tomorrow. Another big partnership and then our lower order can score some quick runs.

I don't mind batting all day tomorrow if possible, if that's the case then we'll have a lead around 200+ at the end of the day. Interesting day ahead.

So India....can't bat, can't bowl, can't field.

Now even their spinners and batsmen are poor. Got to laugh at all the 4-0 talk, 'wait till you come to India', etc.

1-3 on the cards.

We will be in good position to take a big first innings lead tomorrow

I think Indian players are left with no hunger to succeed.....All of their needs are being met even if they do not give any output....

I do think that months of IPL and Champions League is also one reason for their lack of determination, will and skill as well.....

No fight shown by the Indians. England and well are truly on their way to a seris win in India. One can just hope for a twist in the tale :)

While I enjoy your sentiments, I think 1-3 is currently overly optimistic. Let's see the situation at stumps on day 3 first.

To be honest even some kind of mid-innings batting collapse would be unlikely to prevent a 150 lead in the end, and that alone is pretty good. But we have the right to aim and really should be aiming for double that.

now that is what a i call a old school phainty!! this indian team just looks shot. epic trolling from boycott today on test match special. the stick of rubarb and all his usual barbs were in full force.

where are those pak fans who were ridiculing ajmal after the first test in ahmadabad??

I hope England win this n next test.only then we might see some tough decisions n changes, that too very unlikely

looks like hes being held together with elasterplast!!

the quality of indian bowling is club level!!

It's funny that there is no 'Please retire Zaheer' brigade. I mean some Indian fans were on Tendulkars back about that.

Zaheer looks even more finished than him. Whats his average/strike rate this year?

Guess it shows how desperate India are in the 'fast' bowling department.

Well, now even their spinners are ****.

Always maintained. Ohja is nothing special, and Ashwin is a limited cricketer. May be a good ODI bowler, but nothing more than that. Harbhajan is finished. What happened to Mishra and Rahul Sharma. Cupboard is bare.

The less said about Ishant, the better. Why not give Dinda a go? Can't be any worse. After that then who else?

India seriously need to have a good long look at themselves. Can't hide the problems and hope that they go away. Have to look towards creating a team for the future, and who fits in to that. Strangely, England provide a pretty decent copybook for that.

what ishant? you mean mr pace with fire the future of indian phasst bowling who gave ponting a torrid time in one spell? Pace with fire yaar sumja kuro!

their best hope is yadav but he looks like he wont last another season at this rate!the IPL is slowly destroying their cricket and they dont even realise it. Like the frog in slow bowling( sorry boiling lol) water!

as for shooperphasst jaheer kahn, he averages a stupendous 39.19 in the last 12 months.

wheres austin sahib when you need him? for me the most overated cricketing nation!

Indians desperately need a purge. Get all the lazy, unfit, old people out. Sachin saved his bacon with a 70 odd. But bowlers baring Ojha are mediocre to be kind.

India can't bat now in India. That means they are unable to apply score board pressure on the opposition.

Compton is also from SA? wow

Shame on you English selectors

Compton was born in South Africa but has lived in the UK since his teens and was educated at Harrow School. All his competitive cricket has been played in England.

His Grandfather was one of Englands greatest ever cricketers and also played football for Arsenal as did his great uncle. His father and and uncle on the other hand played first class cricket in South Africa.

He is clearly eligible to represent more than one country (as many of us are) but to my knowledge has only ever shown any interest and inclination to represent England. I hope this clears it up for you!

That seems a bit harsh........On club level bowlers! They would have caused Cook and Compton more problems than the Indian bowlers did!

Compton proving my comments right, we don't need someone at the top of the order who can hit six 6's, we need someone who will construct an innings. How anybody can argue for him to be removed when he has just been part of an 165 run opening partnership I don't know!

Lol, never gets old. Someone always falls for it, trying to clarify their eligibility for England by going into their family history :P

Lol Narine got smashed around by Bangladesh. Herath is in peak form now. Very underrated spinner. Imo better than Rehman.

The jury is still out for me.

When Cook's form dips we will see the real Compton in Test cricket. Either way.
