Pakistan have nothing to lose...












except their izzat and the chance to go to the semis.
 
60-40 to Pakistan as their bowlers finished well and they have momentum on their side.They have been scoring 300+ in recent times
 
Kohli and his PR antics have gone to a new level. This is bloody match. You don't walk even when you are given out.
 
Missed run out chances of Rohit cost Pak big time, he scored 140, India would have scored ~ 280-300 max without him.

It has started to rain again, probably we will lose another 1-2 hours so Pak will get 30 overs max. I guess it suits them, just go hard, spinners will be ineffective with wet ball.
 
I think Pakistan can chase this, the pitch is extremely flat and easy to bat on. I hope the rain doesn't have too much of a negative impact, though DLS usually favours the chasing side.

Yup. That's my main concern. Spinner will be totally ineffective. That's 2 out of 5.
 
If we dont win things will be very difficult for me at work tomorrow. So humiliating :(
 
We should target 250. Our batsmen are not good enough to score more than that.
 
Reality is ind are 15 runs short but pak don’t do normal. Best is don’t lose by 180 runs - moral victory
 
Hope we have learnt something from the Aus match and take this as deep as possible and not throw away wickets.

Sound is not the only indication for batsman but the slight vibration of ball snicking your bat. As a batsman, you know if you have padded or scratched the ground or snicked the ball going past your edge. This is the reason Kholi walked away his probable broken bat tricked him big time.
 
The only reason to bat second was that you know the RR and the rain situation, so you can stay ahead of it. With DLS method, I think we have to be way ahead of the RRR. If we are ahead, we will find a way to win. If we do what we typically do, we will lose.

The smart thing is to try and get ahead even if you lose some wickets. Something like 80-2 after 10. This could end up being a 35 or 40 over game.
 
Something interesting ... DLS par score at 20 overs will be 84 ... if no wickets lost...

Hope team management consider that
 
Its raining for the next hour.

Either we will escape with a point or have a shot at victory with a highly shortened game.

Unlikely to be 50 over 340 target now.
 
I actually think there is a possibility of us chasing this. I hope i’m right.

Not really, India never really went wild, they just batted sensibly and waited for the bad balls mostly. Pakistan need to get off to a solid start and stay in the game, the last thing they want to do is give wickets early on chasing the R/R.
 
THe score looks sufficient for today unless some DLS mumbo jambo

We need a proper batsmen at 4. Assuming Shikhar will come back at some stage- Shikhar, Rohit, Kohli, KL, Dhoni, Pandya, Kedar/Shankar/Jaddu, bowlers.

But Shankar can do a good job holding onto his end if required, nothing more can be expected of him @4.

good start by Pakistan, game on. Should target 120-1 by 20 and must not leave it too late.

Imam was lousy in the field and looking like walking wicket, should be demoted and Babar should come in. These 2 jokes have occupied these positions for 3 years PAkistan can't do much anyways no reserves.

Will be an undeserving victory. I won’t enjoy that. Would rather beat India by chasing down a huge total.
 
My fear is that if you bowled well and with control, like Amir did, you did well...
If you bowled dross, like the others did, you got tonked...

I expect Indian seamers to bowl better then us... let’s face it won’t be difficult to bowl better then our bowlers.

Also expect them spinners to get purchase from this wicket.
 
Pakistan's plan should be to save as much respect as they can for the nation. First, try to get pass 200, & if they get lucky then consider its 250 target. Don't assume 250 as target from 1st over (take it as 200) otherwise could bundle out to 150.
It's high time players also wake up to reality if they have not already.

Only if the conditions demand an extra seaming option, else he should not be anywhere in the final 11.
 
I'd be surprised if we aren't 40/3 after 10. Basically Fakhar needs 120+ otherwise we will lose massively.

You can win if this turns out to be a 25-30 overs game. Wet ball ke saath Indian bowlers have a very bad record.
 
So the innings interview with KL Rahul interesting; he wants everyone to know he was worried and nervous about opening the first time and not pak-India.
Honestly sounded like the second Abhinandan interview right before He was released
