That attrocious decision from Dharmasena could prove fatal for Southafrica here with Ashwin scoring runs , he literally smashed the ball off the gloves to the short leg fielder when on 1 or 2 , no guarantee that Southafrica would have won from that position either but that was a disgraceful decision .

Funny how you guys only remember the wrong decisions against India's opponents and decisions in favour of India.

Blame cannot go Captain completely. India has given rank turners and Tahir still going 3/4 rpo, that is unacceptable. He bowls too many rubbish balls to be effective in low scoring affairs. He has to take responsibility.

This is not 70/80, where people were scoring slow and leave out half trackers or full tosses. Leg spinner cannot be successful against Asian team if he bowls 2 absolute dollies every over.

Captaincy is overrated affair in cricket. Everybody struggles in foreign conditions, at home it does not matter much, anybody can win. Focus should be in building strong team with quality players. Amla is cool and calm guy compare to AB, keep on changing captain after series loss is not a wise idea. It's sign of immaturity. He did not have services of Styen, plus pitches were unexpectedly difficult for both teams. This is first time India has made such pitches, next time they can be better prepared. No need of over reaction.

That's the only passage of play I have seen in the test match and that was a terrible decision i am sure you agree .

There have been quite a few dropped chances as well. Amla had a chance to snap Ashwin early in the morning today.

Dont see why RSA cant score 400 here. Good batting conditions although not a patta by any means.
 
Abbott has improved quite a lot. I still remember mocking him a year or two ago. Shame on me and well done to him.
 
Abbott is too good to be left out of the South African side for Philtrunder, who sucks. I would pick him, Steyn and Morkel as the first choice seam bowlers and leave Philander on the bench as the backup reserve bowler. Rabada is too young to play all test matches in my opinion, give him a couple of years and gradually he can replace Steyn. No point in rushing him in now and risking injuries.

On another note. As I understand it Temba Bavuma is opening today. He seems like a gritty batsman, should he fail Amla should seriously consider opening with Elgar and be done with it.

Without third spinner, bowling looks somewhat handicapped... Match might go towards draw if South African's 1st innings is longer. Stupid selection. Rohit or Umesh could have easily given way to Mishra
 
Pretty good start from SA here.

Pitch also appears to have eased considerably.
 
Another not so threatening over from Ashwin, handled with ease by SA openner(s).
 
Meanwhile, Umesh "splatter-gun" Yadhav continues bowling half trackers at batsmen.
 
Bavuma has played Ashwin very well thus far, tries to employ sweep as one of his main shot against offie.

And funny how you guys, your media, your team kaptaan, you management put blames on umpires if some decision go against them, rather than accepting DRS.
 
AB playing like AB today, and he should play like this. Too much of tuk tuj won't help SA. If you play 100 ball and make 20 runs won't help, it can only help in case of draw.

Nice try. But it is BCCI who refuses to accept DRS , not the fans or the players. So we have all the right to complain about the decisions.
 
SA needs to bat out Ashwin carefully. Otherwise I don't see why they can't make 400 here.
 
Beginning of a collapse? They can't afford to collapse here after India made 334.

Most of the times, they have ended up getting advantaged. So saying that they suffer is very selective of you.
 
Im sorry but if youre getting out to yadav you cant blame the pitch. The whole series has been an abysmal performance from SA

SA in danger of following on. But India may not enforce one even if they get the chance.
 
Yes i did watch the ball but tell me did duminys feet even move a bit. Even the commentator pointed it out. Unfortunately [MENTION=139678]Zak_Fan[/MENTION] is obsessed with wahab and is probably the most hypocritical guy on this forum. He shares a pic of the most impact odi players in the world and highlights the fact that there are no pakistanis and then when he sees the highest impact test players he says these are useless statistics :). No one is saying wahab is some great bowler but is obviously better than yadav in odis and tests ACCORDING TO STATS. Anyways really well played india. South africas confidence is shattered.

Hypocrisy is when you believe that the only bowler who earns his wickets is the one with a green shirt on. There is a reason why your comment got three consecutive quotes within minutes.

As for the "Impact Rankings".. its not my fault that you don't get the intention behind a thread. :facepalm:

Lol you completely misinterpreted my comment. I didnt mean yadav is a bad bowler (even though he is). I meant that this pitch isnt even spinning much and theres barely any reverse swing as of now but south africa are playing like a joke. If you think i only find pakistani players good you should know that i dont rate wahab too much either.. So i dont know where you got that. But if stats is what you wann talk about, wahabs average in odis is below 30 and in tests its below 35. Yadav on the other hand...
 
Looks like south africans arent even watching the seam... Playing back to a spinner of ashwins class is deadly

LMAO, when Amir gets Afridi bowled on a similar delivery which moved away after pitching, it is the ball of the century despite Afridi being stuck on the crease. When Yadav bowls a similar delivery, it is all batsman's fault

Thats t20 cricket with Afridi. But of course yadav has been good no doubt. This is test cricket and south africas batting has been horrendous
 
The kind of display Saffers showed with the bat throughout the series will make Bangladeshis and Zimbabweans proud, absolutely atrocious and shambolic. As I said earlier, in the near future SA will be ranked 7-8 and will find it difficult to beat BD and Zim. This is just unacceptable from any visiting side, truly demoralizing.

He is just a silly kid, don't take him for granted, he has no idea what he's talking about.
 
I thought our batting was shoddy but this performance from SA batsmen is even more ridiculous (on a not so difficult pitch). A solid effort this, from Indian bowlers.
 
The thing I like most about Indian grounds is their electric outfield, the ball just races away towards the boundary.
 
I want SA to score atleast 250. Else they will moan again about the pitch and we Indian fans have to bear the gibe.

This will be Saffers biggest defeat in this series, if only Indian batting clicked in other games, the outcomes would've been more demoralizing for proteas.
