Indian media's relentless campaign against Pakistan’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 hosting rights

Nice try but you're wrong as usual. Pakistan with their "not so weak and shallow mindset" tried to print 'UAE' on the 2021 T20 WC kit but then had to bend their knee. You guys even printed a shirt with UAE on it lol. :ROFLMAO:

Atleast here these were just false media rumours with absolutely nothing officially said by the BCCI.
As usual indian propoganda.

Take your propoganda to your indian forum.

Cos we don't wanna hear it. :vk2 :shh:akhtar:akhtar:akhtar

A question here -

What practical damage Indian media or any other media in the world can cause to the PCB? If these are false or fabricated reports by Indian media, it's going to fall flat on their face because no amount of propaganda from anyone can cause actual damage if PCB is doing their work properly and the grounds are due to be be ready as per schedule.

You are right brother. Indian media has obviously hired some top secret AI that magically transforms every picture of Pakistani stadiums into a crumbling construction site the moment it hits the internet.

Meanwhile, in reality, the glorious Gaddafi stadium looks like this
Gad.jpeg

pristine, flawless and straight out of a fairy tale!

India media has a habit of making some spicy news about Pakistan. Cannot really trust them. I don't think Indian people trust their press too much.

When it comes to Pakistan, you will always find something out of the blue moon, spicy and far from reality.

Any publicity is a good publicity. Pakistanis should be thankful to Indian media.

All the sources were reported - maybe , might be , could be .there was big IF in all those reports unlike your claimed

First Try to read carefully than make a judgement.

You brought it up because of your weak and shallow mindset.

(You) : India has been written on every jersey that pakistanis wore in 2006 CT 2011 WC 2016 T20WC 2023WC.

The difference is we have class and don't winge and whine about petty things.

Its not even a topic of debate for us at any level let alone the media. :shh

Every year pakistanis cry and whine when the IPL is on.

'Dawn' had recently carried a story which stated that "it seems absolutely impossible to contemplate the renovation work being completed within the deadline, but the personnel handed the responsibility are beaming with confidence. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Let's cry on Indian media:facepalm

There is no doubt that things got delayed due to different reasons because manty didn't expect that CT will take place in Pakistan. However, Indian media must be reminded that BCCI which is the richest board had also failed to upgrade Eden Gardens Kolkata stadium and Wankhade stadium on time before 2011 WC. The Ind-Eng ODI which was actually planned in Eden Garden was later shifted to Bangalore

Haha using 2010 report about indian grounds when India already hosted multiple ICC tournaments after that .

ICC official were hiding the reality of Pakistan stadium preparation that's why we have already seen some resignation amd more to follow im the coming months

Haha ... people google Pakistan cricket news and look at the articles and the tone ...its not rocket science, its laugable!

It's still a significant embarrassment. Regardless of how many matches were successfully hosted after that, the core issue is that the venue wasn’t prepared in time for a crucial ICC event. The fact that a fixture had to be canceled due to this lack of readiness is a glaring problem. It shows a failure in planning and organization, and no amount of successful matches afterward can erase the initial embarrassment of not being able to meet international standards when it mattered the most.

The decision was taken by ICC few months before the start of 2011 WC as they were totally dissatisfied with the progress at that time. No doubt BCCI is financially very strong and over the period they have developed many grounds after 2011 WC and hosted many ICC events.

On the other side Pakistan had lost entire international cricket for almost 10 years from 2009 and that deteriorated the stadiums. If Pakistan gets an opportunity to host another 1 or 2 ICC events in next 5-6 year it can certainly upgrade some other stadiums. Indian media is literally behaving like vultures

Eden Gardens missed the deadline and the match was shifted to another venue.

Where is PCB shifting the matches?

Its not ICC's job to look after the stadiums of Pakistan. PCB should have been looking after them.

This is no excuse.

India had dozens World class stadium's even in early 2010 but now we have 25+ world class stadium .

While in pakistan ,whole country is running the PR of alone stadium Lahore stadium which tell us where are they stands .still grounds are not ready after uncountable deadlines set by icc.

Latest deadline which PCB asked for the ICC to complete the grounds is 5 Feb .

This is nothing less than Big humiliation for pakistan the whole nation so pakistani friends are using India/ Indian media's to hide the own failure's.

Who told you that???.

indian propaganda :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: .

Geoff Allardice has stepped down as the Chief Executive of the International Cricket Council (ICC) after a four-year tenure, citing a desire to pursue new challenges. His departure marks a significant shift in cricket administration at a time of major changes in the sport.

Lols. Nobody is blaming ICC for delay in construction, it's PCB's fault but the drama which has happened in last 3-4 months has confirmed that ICC is a toothless organisation and it's on deathbed.

The fact is both Eden Gardens & Wankhade wasn't ready on time before 2011 WC due to BCCI's failure. There is no need for PCB to shift matches, CT will take place as planned after few weeks and Indian media will keep running fake narrative till then, that's how they earn their bread & butter

No doubt India has 1000 beautiful stadium but the fact is that it's 2 designated venues were not ready before 2011 WC. Pakistan have good number of stadiums to host ICC tournaments and everything will go ahead as planned.

You can't hide fake stories planted by Indian media in last few months to mislead the people and you will keep getting such fabricates stories till the end of CT.

As per reports:

India's captain, Rohit Sharma, is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the captains' interaction event ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This decision is primarily due to security concerns, with India opting to play all their matches in Dubai instead of traveling to Pakistan. If India qualifies for the final, it will also be held in Dubai.

The uncertainty around Rohit's travel plans, along with similar concerns from other teams like England and Australia, has led the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to cancel traditional pre-tournament events, including the press conference and official photo shoot involving all eight captains, which were initially scheduled to take place in Karachi.

This marks a significant change in protocol, as captains typically gather for such events before ICC tournaments. However, given the circumstances, Rohit Sharma will not attend the captains' conference in Karachi.

Wankhede was ready by the deadline. Eden Gardens wasn't and matches were shifted.

PCB has been extending deadlines. The latest is 5th February. What if that's missed. What's the contingency plan?

ICC should have had a contingency plan and a decision to shift matches to alternate venues should have been made long back.

The ICC CEO messed it up.

But now there's a new regime in charge of ICC and such poor decision making won't be tolerated.

Media's is going to do what they have to. They can't go against Indian government's narrative.

But what's disappointing is the attitude and direction of fellow Indian Cricket fans. I expected better.

So @Major disappeared from his own thread lol. Must be humiliating to claim something and not able to provide a single source to back it up.

So far all the sources provided have- 'if' 'maybe' 'might be' in it.

Most people have always believed it is an autocracy.

No Wankhade missed all initial deadlines, it just got ready on time. It hosted 30th match of that WC which was started on 19th Feb. The biggest blunder of ICC is that they announced the schedule of CT only 2 months before the tournament. ICC cannot survive for long if it will work under influence of 2-3 boards. International cricket needs better advertising, planning and management by ICC but it is failing in all these aspects

When you let a 3rd world country steer the ICC, this is the outcome.

Wankhede got ready and was approved on 27th January 2011 along with Colombo and Hembantota.

ICC shifted the February 27 match out of Eden on 27th January. One month before the match.

Here ICC is extending deadlines after deadlines and the tournament is 19 days away. Why? No one knows. This is one of the reasons for the sack of Allardyce.

Scheduling has nothing to do with anything here. ICC and PCB knew which stadiums would host the games months before.

ICC is surviving because of 2-3 boards and their revenue. Around 90 per cent from BCCI.

Question should be who influenced the ICC into giving PCB such a long rope? History shows even BCCI doesn't get it.

Mohsin Naqvi, while addressing the media at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore:

"Some people across the border are trying to find any flaws. If even a stone is misplaced, they are attempting to point it out, but InshaAllah, they won’t find any flaws."

"There's also some talk about the seats in the stadium, which came from China. These are international standard chairs, with a 20-year warranty, and we are confident they will be up to expectations."

"As we upgraded the stadium, we added new features like a better sound system, bigger screens, and LED lights. We decided to surrender some of the ICC’s tickets to increase our revenue, which was a tough decision."

I think it's better Indian team is not visiting Pakistan....
Bcoz I don't like their Anthem to be sung on our holy soil

No Wankhade was ready even before hosting rights were awarded to India. CT is a small tournament with only 15 matches in comparison to WC 2011 in which 49 matches were played. Relax, it's only a matter of few more weeks. CT will be successfully hosted by Pakistan after that no body will talk about these issues

Terror attack warning leaves Champions Trophy 2025 on high alert, Pakistan’s Intelligence Bureau cautions security forces of massive threat

Terror attack warning has put the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 on a high alert. Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of foreign attendees at the Champions Trophy 2025. According to their intelligence reports, the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) is planning to kidnap foreign nationals for ransom.

The terror group is reportedly focusing its efforts on Chinese and Arab citizens, and has been conducting surveillance at key locations such as ports, airports, offices, and residential areas frequented by these individuals. This warning signals a significant security threat, requiring heightened vigilance and robust countermeasures.

The intelligence alert has placed Pakistani security forces on high alert, to counter the potential terrorist attack during the eight-team tournament. The specific threat of abducting foreign guests has prompted immediate and intensified security protocols. The news dropped just after the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan in Dubai which Rohit Sharma's brigade ended up winning by six wickets.

It comes as a big setback for PCB who is staging its first ever ICC tournament after 29 years in Pakistan. Pakistan endured a prolonged period of isolation after the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team, but had recently made substantial progress in hosting successful international series. This new threat jeopardizes those hard-won gains.

Reportedly, Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau has issued warnings about potential threats from multiple extremist groups, including Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), ISIS, and various Balochistan-based organisations. These groups are reportedly plotting to abduct foreign nationals attending the tournament, posing a big risk to the safety and security of the event.

Intelligence reports indicate that the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) is employing a strategic approach to facilitate kidnappings. Their operatives are reportedly planning to rent properties on the fringes of urban areas, specifically selecting locations devoid of camera surveillance and accessible primarily by rickshaws or motorcycles. This calculated choice of safe houses is designed to minimize detection and facilitate the clandestine movement of kidnapped individuals. ISKP intends to transfer hostages between these safe houses under the cover of darkness, effectively circumventing security forces and hindering rescue attempts.

Adding to the regional security complexities, Afghanistan's General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) has also issued alerts regarding potential ISKP attacks on critical infrastructure. The GDI has intensified its efforts to locate and apprehend missing ISKP operatives believed to be planning these attacks, highlighting the transnational nature of the threat and the necessity for coordinated counterterrorism measures.

Meanwhile, adding to the challenges faced by Pakistan, who are hosting the ninth edition of the Champions Trophy, Mohammad Rizwan's brigade has got off to a horrendous start to the tournament. The defending champions have suffered consecutive losses in their first two matches. They started with a 60-run defeat against New Zealand and then followed it up with a six-wicket loss to India on February 23 to stare at Champions Trophy's elimination. Pakistan will play their last league-stage match against Bangladesh on February 27.

What has this got to do with Bharat?

Shaheen played cheap tactics by bowling 3 wides in 4 balls to stop Virat Kohli from reaching his century. If an Indian bowler had done this, brother @Major would have created a new thread and ripped him apart. :dhoni

Vikrant Gupta was the biggest critic of Pakistan hosting an ICC event and justified Indias move to play its matches in UAE due to security concerns.

However, Gupta is now in Lahore, roaming around Liberty with other Pakistani Journalist.

Quite Ironic isnt it?
Now where are the security concerns? Or where is his patriotism?

Gupta is not a cricketer, so who cares about him when he is roaming around Pakistani roads?
Does anyone even recognize him?

@Rajdeep front foot journalist has reached in the Pakistan and eating kabab at the liberty chowk lahore .

BTW in sports journalism he is big personality in the subcontinent and no one can denied it.

You gave Vikrant Gupta visa, it’s your fault, now keep him there if you want.
WHat do you mean our fault?

A guy made claims that security issue exists but happily applied and came over and is roaming around in Lahore like a dog.

Gupta is the one who claim security issues exist.

Looks like irony is lost on indians

Nikhil Naz from their English channel is good & humble man. He even took a small fan interview of me live in his show.

Vikrant Gupta is not Shahrukh Khan or Virat Kohli. Let him roam around and get Lahore out of his system. As I said why are people treating him like some superstar vsiited Pak. First give him visa and give him royal treatment, why are you whining? It’s between him and the state 🤣 yes your fault.

Vikrant claimed that there is a security thread. The guy who cried wolf is not roaming like a dog in lahore.

Pakistanis are mehman nawaz, and we dont reject Visas like you guys do.

Thing is, if there is a security threat why he applied for Visa and why he came over. I think that is something you cant comprehend.

Bro, his claim about security issues is for cricketers, not for himself.
So wait, cricketers who have been given presidential security are under threat, but him being an indian roaming in Lahore without any security is safe?

Do you see the irony there or not?

I was watching the video and he is doing OTT praise for Imran Khan. Is it safe in present political climate?

Treating him well- Pak govt and his friends in Pak

Thats right. They are main target.

TBH what @Major is saying has some merit though. He clearly said Indian cricketers have security concerns and then himself having Kebabs there paints a poor picture. Question remains the same, if our Tennis players can go in Pakistan, if our FM can go there, if prominent journalists can go there why this ban is applicable only to the cricketers? It would have been so much fun to see our boys playing there rather than these lifeless Dubai pitch.
