Shoaib getting criticized for not setting a great example by doing this during the time of the lockdown.

The cycling part is fine, even in New Zealand we are allowed outside for a walk or a short bike ride. But you have to stay in what's called your bubble (people living in your house during lockdown), and when you are outside we have to stay at least 1 meter away. Jokes aside, he comes across as very selfless, humble, smart, and above all, hardworking. I don't know whether he has the batting acumen to excel at higher levels (he's only really played in two U19 matches, let alone domestic list A or first class), but he definitely has the personality to be groomed. Remember grooming is best started early on in a player's career. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but there's no harm in grooming kids from these young ages to develop good cricketing brains

It helps with communication since English is basically what French was to the world prior to WWI, a global language.

However, if you can’t speak it well and do not use it on a regular basis, there is no point in speaking it for communication and ends up making you look foolish.

I think that’s the distinction people have with wanting our players to speak it; marketing, PR, etc.
