Interesting Tweets and Instagram posts by cricketers

hahaha Vaughan can't help it, you can hardly blame him aussies can't cope with Ashwin, barring Clarke and Henriques.

just checked out doherty's FC average

lol

Worst thing is we have a spinner at home (O'Keefe) with a FC bowling average of 29 & a batting average of 30, over several seasons now but we picked two ODI muppets (Doherty & Maxwell instead).

Vaughan takes a dig at the Aussies

How the hell do guys like Smith, Doherty, Maxwell play Test cricket, there's something wrong with Aussie selectors :))

After Warne retired they wanted to play a spinner who was just as good as him hence why they tried so many options.

Marsh, most English fans loathe Vaughan the commentator while we may have loved Vaughan the batsman.

And besides, England won in those same conditions 2-1, whereas the Aussies are looking set to go down 0-2. And yet when McGrath predicted a 5-0 last Ashes, it was allowed, joked about, and then forgotten.

Here is the full exchange which I thought was quite funny and a good one..

Michael Vaughan‏@MichaelVaughan

Come to think of it I will drop off a few new Batsmen as well....

So Tom Moody Reply with this,

Tom Moody‏@TomMoodyCricket

@MichaelVaughan English or Sth African?

Dave Fisher reply to Tom Moody

Dave Fisher‏@DaveFisher3

@TomMoodyCricket @MichaelVaughan how about Portuguese?

and Tom Moody has no answer,

Tom Moody‏@TomMoodyCricket

@DaveFisher3 @michaelvaughan yep give you that one :)

I believe Mr Vaughan should drop his new bowlers and new batsmen towards Mrs Vaughan and not try to find excuses to sneak around. Given English women are what they are but Aussies didn't ask for anything.

England have every right to mock the Australian team after decades or ruthless humiliation at the hands of the Aussies. They must be loving every minute of this.

People really need to accept the fact that runs are not there in the pitch alone, guys like Pujara, Cook, KP, Clarke have played EXCEPTIONAL cricket in last 2-3 months to get all their runs while players like Tendulkar, Sehwag, Gambhir, Watson etc all missed out big time because they didn't have the game for it.

KP,Cook and Clarke have proved themselves in all conditions Pujara shouldn't be mentioned with them.
When was the last time he performed outside of India?
Oh i just forgot, the answer is never.

Clarke should really think about having Warne for Ashes. Doesn't matter what the critics say, having warne come out of retirement is no embarrassment. Esp. when you compare it to England whose 2 out of 3 best batsmen are not English.

No I doubt we'll win 5-0. Expect at least one test to be washed out due to the weather. I say 3-1 or 3-0.
what? I dont see England losing a session let alone a test match. The only thing i agree with you is the rain factor. 4-0 England. They cant handle trundler like Ashwin how are they going to deal with the best spinner in the world?

If you mean Swann, I thnk that he and/or Monty will be easier to handle on a seamer in England under leaden skies, than Ashwin on a bunsen.

The Aussie attack will batter our batsmen in a couple of sessions, but I doubt that they will all be able to stand up for the five tests.

i dont think so. The is a good reason why Swann is comfortably the best in the world. He does not rely on a surface as much as other spinners. Just give him a cricket ball and you're fine. Did you see him in South Africa? My god he was outstanding. His average does not show his true numbers. The way he got the ball to turn was the best i've seen since Warne (in SA conditions i.e.). So he will be absolutely fine in England, just dont create the flat Oval pitch that you guys made against SA coz it will suit Australia and make them better than they are. A certain player i know increased his career average by 7 in a year because of them ROADS. But still i have full confidence in Swann. #worldclass

Richie Benaud: Today is Australia's lowest point

Strange for him to pick this performance over the 98 all out in the Ashes, or the 47 all out in South Africa, but there you go.

That just cannot be Richie come on lol the Savage Garden dig gave it away. :))) :)))

Prone to panic? lolwhut?

And Dhoni is rubbish. Just got lucky in the initial part of his captaincy through the presence of many great players around him.

In short, Hollioake couldn't be more wrong with both halves of his statement there.

How come these Pommie bits and pieces all-rounders who've accomplished zilch in their playing careers pass casual statements on players of other teams, be they loving praise or mindless criticism?

Yet to see the likes of Steve Waugh, Shaun Pollock and Brian Lara, etc. stoop to these pretenders' levels.

he can't leave Indians alone :))

Vaughan :))) He is going to have a tough time on twitter if England go on to lose this test... he is a master troll :sachin

So I follow a sports journalist,Hassan Cheema on twitter. He is covering the SA series for Dawn. Not only does he writes brilliant insightful articles but also tweets some of the most fascinating stuff about our team.

Some of his tweets I really enjoyed today.

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
Ajmal to Misbah... Reporter : ainu out karo. Ajmal: ae match vich hovay da, aithay nai... Winks at Misbah. Who has a genuine smile, for once

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
Afridi keeps hitting Ajmal. Ball flying out of nets where cameras are.Ajmal: cameray bacha lo apne. Cameraman: tussi ball ne seedhi karana>>

Ajmal : seedhi karaawan ga te out ho jaega. Confidence vi te dena ae. Afridi to cmeraman: ball pe aise nazar rakho jaise hmare pe rkhte ho

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
Younis hits Ajmal for slog sweep. Ajmal now arguing that would have been caught on boundary. YK disagrees. Argument goes on for 30 seconds

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
Hafeez confronts Geo reporter for 5th time in 7 days. Again telling him how hurt he is by the allegations and how he will nvr hurt Pk.

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
Also Hafeez hugged Misbah then called out to Geo reporter asking whether he will report this or not. All in good spirits, of course.

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
Amaxing how ripped each if the Saffers are. Meanwhile we've got Jamshed - who according to Ajmal lost 5kg before the tour

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
As the rest of the team does exercise, saeed Ajmal is dancing while singing Munni Badnaam Hui. #WhattayMan

Hassan Cheema ‏@mediagag
A decision goes against thejr team in foot-volleyball: malik saying tauba and touching his earlobes, afridi arguing, hafeez kicks the ref

:)

I used to be a big fan of afridi when I was younger than 14. On growing older, i became one of his biggest critics.

But one must understand that afridi was something special 10 years ago, he is no longer the same at present. Worst player to play more than 350 matches, true. But easily more entertaining than the likes of gayle and watson

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
He's gone. One of the great 1-day knocks ever. #Afridi

Ravi Bopara ‏@ravibopara
Shahid Afridi u deserve 12 for that. That is the biggest I've ever seen. Massive!!!

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
BOOOOOM!!!! Afridi just smashed a 6 out of the ground and into the golf course! This is unbelievable - tune into Sky Ch 403 now.

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
WAIT..... no ball! Afridi's back.......

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
And it's over....what a knock! #Afridi

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Afridi's just smashed another outrageous 6 - 73n.o. off 41 balls. Astonishing innings.

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Afridi's nickname is 'BOOM BOOM' in honour of his 6-hitting talents - probably why he's my favourite batsman to watch.

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Afridi once played for me against my village @NewickCC - smashed 70 off 5 overs, nearly killed a local with his 90mph fast ball, then left.

It's easy to be a fan of his batting when you're a neutral. If he goes off, you see some entertaining batting. If he doesn't, your team has just taken another wicket.

Win, win.

Piers is a friend of Afridi, not close or anything.

He plays cricket at his local club with his young son and every year he invites a mystery guest for one game. When Afridi was in England he was invited and came to play at the club with Piers. Pietersen was also a guest in one match, smashed a century against the other side lol.

Bopara and Maxwell tweet for Afridi.

the game last 5 days....

Take nothing away from Afridi's innings yesterday.

But when it comes to saying anything, Piers Morgan has no idea what he is talking about. The guy is an absolute idiot.

Anyone who has read anything he has to say about Arsenal will know that.

If I were Afridi, I would want nothing to do with him whatsover.

And yeah, while it was an amazing innings....not one of the greatest one day knocks in my book. Innings like the Saeed Anwar 194* belong in that category.

Do we even need to remind him how ordinary England where during his captaincy?

Re: Tweets by Cricketers Thread

What on earth are you talking about?

Vaughan carried off where Hussain left and took England to new heights.

Regaining the Ashes against a side that had all the Aussie stars sans McGrath isn't a feat you just forget about. He was one of the most inventive captains in the last decade.

^^ looks Raza with photos he has got

Can anyone confirm it is Raza hasan account

Trent woodhill seems to be pretty respected amongst australia and english players and others. Luke wright, johan botha, nannes, starc are few examples.

david hussey has a good tweet, few more by other players too.
