The Broken Brother Akmal will comeback and show the R-Azam and Waqita that Umar can never die

InshaAllah.

If he can actually come good it will give our test team a new dynamic and have someone who will increase our scoring rate.

He may love test cricket but he needs to be more patient on the pitch if he wants to go back to it.

Maybe that's why he was given a central contract. Looks to be well on the road to recovery and return to cricket. So happy for him. Genuinely nice guy. ^^^

Have the same shirt as Haris. Looking good, Insh'Allah no more injuries.

Still makes me angry that they didn't hand him a debut much earlier than 2014. He is wasting his best years in rehab instead of out there in the middle in front of millions watching.

Thanks for sharing Belawal. Huge fan of the guy, good to see him on the road to recovery.

Can't wait to see him and Babar bat together.

Also a point to be noted, Haris seems so fit despite not playing for 18 months and to add to that he was out with a knee injury which made cardio exercises impossible.

Makes you wonder what sort of diet Sharjeel is on that he has that huge belly despite playing competitive cricket non-stop for so long.

Thanks for sharing Belawal2014!

Yes, great to see the man back, and hopefully this time the doctors are right in clearing him.

IA it all goes well and we see him making his Test debut against WI next year.

It's not hard to get fat. You just have to eat a lot.

Seems to be a lot fitter and hopefully not far away from making a comeback. Really was a quality player want to see both him and usama in the odi team.

He didn't do it after not batting once against the WI during the LOI part of the series, so I think he'll be fine.

Didn't his uncle Abdul Qadir complain though?

With these Akmal brothers anything is possible, hopefully he concentrates on cricket.

Umar Akmal loves test cricket and he is playing BPL, not FC matches.

Can someone please snatch Umer Akmal's phone from him !!! Please !!!!

What did Shehzad say

:))) :))) :)))

How, just how is this even possible. Oh man I mean :)))

Genuinely wonder whats higher, his batting average or IQ. And no not having great English, even if true, is no excuse. You dont comment on something you cant bloody read, and the picture alone implies it could be about a death or tribute. So damn stupid and hilarious :)))

Tbf the picture itself doesn't imply reg death

But yeah anyone with half a brain cell should be figuring it out

Correct, but a squad photo of a bygone era can imply only a couple things, anniversary of a win, one of the squad members dying etc etc. Anyone with a brain who cant understand the caption will know this and not say anything, or at least translate the damn thing on google or something. Besides Umar's english isn't so bad as to not understand "very sad"

English isn't his first language. Umar posts a lot of stupid stuff on Twitter / Instagram, but this is clearly a mistake. And he apologized after

No need for everyone to get on their high horses

Quite funny when people make fun of others because of their lack of proficiency in a language. Specially when a white guy makes fun of a desi for having bad English. Congratulations for having a 10 feet tall high horse.

If he can't understand English then why is tweeting about stuff he can't read ?

The only people looking foolish here are the ones defending UA.

What is it with the victim complex here.

Nobody is mocking him for his english, they're mocking him for being an idiot.

Newsflash, if your english is really that bad, maybe dont reply to a post that you cant understand the context of?? I dont even buy this excuse. You telling me Umar Akmal, a professional international cricketer, has english so bad he doesn't understand the words "very sad"?? He saw a tweet and didn't bother to read the damn thing, and made an *** of himself in the process.

Was it a mistake from Umar? Yes, was it also absolute stupidity especially from a public figure? Also yes. This isn't a high horse, its common sense.

I don't think this is about whether Akmal read the message, he probably did. His tweet seems to be in response to seeing a shirtless Dave Watmore in the picture. Still it was idiotic to respond in that context and just goes to show how his brain functions.

Why can't someone help him with his Twitter account like Inzi, Irfan etc?

I'd rather people ran their own twitter accounts instead of nobodies doing it for them.

However I'd also prefer for people to use common sense when tweeting :)

Good to see them training but there is no competition there. They could both barely hold the position for 1 second before falling back.

wow that is cold and harsh

I liked MJ pre retirement. Post retirement, he has just become a whiny ex cricketer on twitter who sometimes borders on being petty.

:))) And then people say Umar Akmal is a changed man and mature now lmao.

This guy is so unaware and oblivious to any situation be it the match situation with 60 needed of 75 balls or a sad occasion irl, he'll go for the impulsive leg side hoick no matter what.

cant hold a candle to Sehwag though

but yeah does come across as a bit petty. And the thing is he was part of a successful team so usually he'll always have upper hand in these fights.

Sehwag is just a troll. He may come across as paindoo but not bitter as MJ does here.

Very poor from Johnson. They are criticisizing this current Aussie team and their criticism is fair. Unnecessary low blow. The amount of people that are agreeing with him on twitter is pathetic

Too bad he is busy getting ducks in BPL instead of getting valuable experience playing first-class cricket. He has a contract so money doesn't matter. His slogging is really good, but he needs to work on his technique and mentality which will only get worse in BPL.

Yeah, that's why you gotta arrive at the conclusion that you can't blame Misbah, Waqar, Shahryar, Inzi, Nawaz Sharif, other selectors, coaches and at the end of the day the blame of Umar's demise as a cricketer falls on his own Akmal shoulders.
