Mumbai beat KKR yet again. There is not a more 1 sided record in terms of win/loss between 2 teams in the IPL.
Cummins is a great bowler man. He is not paid to bat like a champion. The match was lost by inept batting by KKR middle order.

He has plenty of variations which makes him a good defensive T20 bowler as he can run away with a couple of good overs filled with Yorkers, slower balls, wide outside off etc. In ODIs, defensive bowling doesn't work because you need wickets.

These things happen. Remember Pakistan couldn’t chase 2 runs in 1 over vs Maxwell. It was a tough pitch aided by good bowling and captaincy.
I watched the last 3 overs. The batsmen certainly seemed to be trying to win.

It clearly seemed like as if the surface slowed up a bit towards the second half of both the innings, as even Mumbai struggled massively post the 10th over mark or so despite having had a great start. Still, though, a little more application of brains would´ve seen Kolkata through.
I actually remember the Kolkata surface too have the same issue in the IPL edition of 2012. You had to get all your runs in the first 10 overs, as scoring even five to six an over would become a challenge towards the second half of the innings. Who else remembers the KKR versus CSK game from that year where Dwayne Bravo had to hit a last-ball six to clinch a thriller for Chennai? It was on the same surface that I´ve just referred to.
