Yes, which is why Kohli has all those IPL trophies. Oh wait....
Who care about IPL trophy. He has World T20 ,ODI world cup , Champion trophy ( twice) , under -19 world cup trophy , Uncountable Test mace,

Kohli has garnered 10 ICC Awards making him the most awarded player in international cricket history.

He won the ODI Player of the Year award four times in 2012, 2017, 2018, and 2023.
He has also won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy given to the Cricketer of the Year, on two occasions, in 2017 and 2018. In 2018, he touched his peak and became the first player to win all the three major awards Garfield Sobers trophy, ODI and Test Player of the Year awards in the same year.

Need more reality Check ? :shh :kp

Yeah no "phaast pace is pace yaar" bowlers in Ind. Pak has a lot of them - pak mein talent bahut hai..Fast bowling is not just about pace- it's about brains fitness consistency dedication practice handling nerves.. but yes no phaast pacy yaari bowlers.. that's reserved for Pak. 😂
Lol man pace can't be taught. It's something you born with. It's either you have it or you don't.
It's not Pakistani bowlers fault that they are not developed properly.

It's East vs West. #7 vs #1. Inconsistent Kolkata Knight Riders vs consistent Gujarat Titans at The Eden gardens Kolkata. :kp

Isn't this true for PSL too? How many are touching 145+? What is their average speed.
No that's not true. Pakistani bowlers have been topping speed charts in almost every icc tournament in terms of most balls over 140kph.
Even in psl two young bowlers U-19 ali raza and Ubaid shah have bowled over 145ks and akif javed as well.
Fawad ali an unknown from nowhere has bowled 145ks as well.

Kolkata Knight Riders have won the toss and have opted to field :kp

Gujarat Titans (Playing XI): Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Jos Buttler(w), Sherfane Rutherford, Rahul Tewatia, Washington Sundar, Shahrukh Khan, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj

Kolkata Knight Riders (Playing XI): Rahmanullah Gurbaz(w), Sunil Narine, Ajinkya Rahane(c), Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Moeen Ali, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy

No wedding vows in the future. Getting married?"

"No nothing like that.."

Asking about wedding at toss . WTH Danny 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂

:kp

I don't know how Danny Morrison gets IPL commentary gigs. He's on the level of Athar Ali Khan and Aamir Sohail. So bad to listen to.

None of them average speed is > 140kph. Same as IPL.

Gill Bhai test ni hai ye ? 😠 :kp
He seems to be waiting for wayward deliveries in pp.All his first 3 boundaries are having enough width to get punished. It's not the same approach from other players like abhishek, jaiswal, Samson etc.even sai is playing delicate and deft touches for good deliveries to score boundaries

When the home team does not know how the pitch will play better to have a sedate start, see how the pitch reacts and then start the onslaught.
Gill and Sai have done exactly that. Good start.

:kp

:kp
Not sure about sai but gill is doing the same irrespective of the pitch.we can watch his operating procedure in future matches on batting tracks.Afaik sai sr for previous matches was 159 and Gill was at 150 .Sai scored more runs too.

Gill - 34 ball fifty, Sai - 33 ball fifty. Both in same over

GT 113/0 in 12 overs :kp

KKR issue is that they playing too many batters and no one is taking responsibility. Today Harshit Rana would be batting at number 10 !

What happened to that Navdeep Saini guy? I remember he was big hype bowling at near 150k speed in IPL. However, in ODIs was struggling with 135ks and was never to be seen again.

I think Pandit has proved to be a very poor white ball coach , the team which won the cup last year looks like a shadow of itself this year after Gambhir left.

IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals hit back after official raises doubts over match result
Tensions have escalated between Rajasthan Royals and the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) after Jaydeep Bihani, convener of the RCA’s ad hoc committee, raised doubts over the team’s recent two-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025.

Bihani suggested the result might be questionable and even hinted at possible tampering. In response, the IPL franchise management has formally complained to the Chief Minister, Sports Minister, and Sports Secretary, calling for strict action against Bihani.

Royals slam ‘false and baseless’ claims

Deep Roy, a senior official with the team, categorically dismissed Bihani’s statements as “false, baseless, and without any evidence”.

Bihani had issued a statement casting suspicion not only on the team’s performance but also accusing the Rajasthan Royals, Rajasthan Sports Council, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of collusion to sideline the RCA’s ad hoc committee from IPL-related activities.

The Rajasthan management has strongly objected to these claims, stating, “We reject all allegations made by the convener of the ad hoc committee. Such public statements are not only misleading but have caused serious damage to the reputation and credibility of Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI. They also tarnish the integrity of cricket.”

Franchise defends long-standing ties with state

The franchise emphasised its 18-year partnership with the state association and government, and its ongoing work in full compliance with BCCI guidelines. According to the BCCI’s current arrangements, the Rajasthan Sports Council holds the official rights to host IPL matches in Jaipur for the ongoing season.

The Royals clarified that they are working in coordination with both the Council and the BCCI under the guidance of the state government to ensure the successful conduct of the tournament.

Bihani accuses Council of sidelining RCA committee

Earlier, Bihani said the RCA had successfully hosted ICC-BCCI international matches and competitions in the state. But the Sports Council was now conspiring against sporting interests by excluding the government-formed ad hoc committee from the IPL match in Jaipur.

“The State Sports Council kept the RCA ad hoc committee away from organising the IPL. They did not even make accreditation cards for the members related to the event,” he alleged

Typical politican tactic lol Just because they were excluded you can't talk whatever you want. This is what they do in politics. He is using same tactics here. Why is it even entertained by news media.

BIG Blunders by KKR

  • Paid Venkatesh Iyer 23Cr (extremely over priced)
  • Released IPL Winning Captain Shreyas Iyer
  • Released Impactful Opener Phil Salt
  • Sending Angkrish Raghuvanshi at No.9
  • What's the use of Ramandeep when he can't bat

    Agreed?

Biggest blunder was paying Iyer 23 crore, he simply is not worth that much money. KKR should look to scout for better domestic players , release iyer.

I guess biggest flop and biggest buyout of this year is Rishabh Pant. At least he can make up in captaincy.

Pant getting into CSK can turn fortune to both Pant & CSK, they should give it a thought! Instead of over-using Dhoni, CSK should think of roping in Pant from next year onwards. CSK also needs a major revamp... (They were very lucky to win trophy a couple of years back even with a worn out team! Dhoni's lucky charm is so much that he made CSK win titles even when they slept! While on the other hand a team like RCB even with their fullest strength & effort couldn't go ahead of the line at any time)

And Dhoni can become CSK's main coach, also it as a long run for Fleming (they should even move on from him). Dhoni can guide Pant (this will also do good for Indian Cricket team - mainly test team!) If this doesn't work out Pant should unfortunately continue his career as specialist Test Player (like Laxman, Pujara, etc) and I don't mind it actually (But players these days need financial security! Even someone like Rahul modified his game extremely to suit T20 demands! But I personally prefer players like Pant, Rahul, Jaiswal, Jurel, etc, to concentrate fully on Tests...)

Ishan Kishan must be dropped for walking when he is not out. Shame on this guy. When the team needed him, he gives himself out and smiles while walking away.

74 runs partnership so far , can this prove to be important in the context of the game , a strong finish required by hyderabad.

What exactly went down with Ishan Kishan’s dismissal? He looked almost too eager to walk off, didn’t even consider a review. Meanwhile, the umpire looked just as eager to raise the finger, even though neither the bowler nor the keeper actually appealed.

ONE OF THE STRANGE MOMENT IN IPL HISTORY

- Not many MI player appealed.
- Ishan walked away.
- He thought there was an edge.
- Every MI player appreciated the decision of Ishan.
- But replay showed there was no Edge.

Jasprit Bumrah completes triple century in T20s, enters Mumbai Indians record books in Hyderabad during SRH vs MI clash
Jasprit Bumrah became the fastest Indian to complete 300 T20 wickets and second fast bowler from the country to reach this feat on Wednesday. Bumrah's completed the milestone in just 237 innings during Mumbai Indians' Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

SRH's Heinrich Klaasen was his 300th victim in T20Is. Australia's Andrew Tye (208 innings) is the fastest in the list followed by Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga (217). In fact, Bumrah also became the second Indian pacer after Bhuvneshwar Kumar to reach 300 T20 wickets.

Bhuvneshwar had become the first Indian pacer to complete 300 T20 wickets when the Uttar Pradesh bowler achieved the feat during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Delhi in 2024.

Klaasen was Bumrah's only wicket on the day. In the process, Bumrah also joined Malinga to become Mumbai Indians' joint-highest wicket taker with 170 scalps in IPL. Malinga needed 122 matches at Mumbai Indians to reach 170 wickets while Bumrah took 138 games.
