On Pakistan's day, they would crumble to club bowling. Nothing much can be read into Ireland's quality on this basis. Now if they did this against South Africa, that would be an entirely different story.

Agreed that they are good enough to put up a fight. But a top order display like this, against nothing more than steady bowling is inexcusable for a team that should be head and shoulders above Ireland. Pakistan has a major issue at the top because with Jamshed struggling to time the ball, we're relying on Farhat to give us a good start. Now that is a disasterous situation to be in.

Right Dr Sa'ab, this being the (under)performance of your home team, you will obviously be more critical. and me being neutral will acknowledge the oppositions effort (slightly) better i guess but i agree about the farhat and hafeez points you mentioned. even Jamshed might be facing more than just form related issues

Its a difficult situation for Pakistan and I dont think they can win it from here unless Ireland gives freebies.

Need 180 from 190 balls and with 6 wickets in hands it will be a tough ask for Pakistan. Thats why its important for Pakistan to have a solid number 3 batsman

But I think they have improved as a side and should get test status. In the process, we would benefit too since we would be playing more tests
