Yes you are right that the difference between babar and other players are that babar always tries to improve and up his game either in batting or in captaincy. But you have to develop your backup options under the shadow of babar. The only player which i like in captaincy cap is shaheen but he is not long lasting and may become extremely average if captaincy burden is loaded on his shoulders. he can be a t20 captain for sure to start with

Shaheen is a better choice indeed. But he's a bowler, a fast bowler and, playing a fast bowler in every match is a horrible idea. Rest is important considering their the ones doing the most physical work.
Good point. With so much cricket being played its important to protect your premier fast bowler. I dont see any other potential candidate to replace Babar apart from Shaheen. Shadab was touted at one point of time but his performances are ordinary off late so captaincy burden may further afect his performance.
