Is it a blessing in disguise for Pakistan that they dont play bilateral series against India?

Lets face it, the only thing Pak has is age old head 2 head record. When it comes to tournaments/WCs, its obvious to all India is way ahead. But from past 1.5 decade, these 2 teams have not played much (if any) bilateral series. But looking at the conditions of Pak team and the way it mercilessly got beaten by Ind twice, it is safe to say had there been regular bilaterals, the H2H record would hv taken a huge dip.

So is Pakistan is lucky by chance thaf they dont play India in bilaterals?

Absolutely. They would be humiliated regularly and at least it makes the tournament games more intriguing.

I was just thinking to myself recently that the Indian Government is really shooting itself in the foot refusing to play Pakistan in an era when , for the first time in a while, their team is head and shoulders above their neighbour. The irony is that, by refusing to play, it is India who are accused of running scared.

India would have comfortably bettered their overall head to head record against Pakistan had they played Pakistan more consistently in the last 10 years

Indian govt dont care about cricket, let alone head 2 head records...lol. But yes, we fans are missing out the fun of beating Pak and our players missing on some easy runs/wickets.

I think Pakistan will eventually find better players if they regularly start playing against good teams like India.

The only bilateral series I can remember between the two in recent years was when Pakistan went to play a 3-match ODI series in India. I think it was about 5 years ago? Junaid Khan and co humiliated the Indians in their backyard then. Such is the volatility of Pakistan. But overall, it is clear to see that there are oceans between the two teams in terms of class and talent.

At the moment we should be more concerned with getting the better of other Asian cricketing nations in LOI format. Afg has shown phenomenal progress and deserved to be playing in the final. if we are getting beat up by the likes of BD and are fighting to win over other so-called minnows then beating Indian cricket team should be the least of our worries

That H2H record would have comfortably been in India's favour by now if bilaterals continued.

We missed chance of 3-0....
Nevertheless they trolled us everywhere on the internet for last 1 year...this will keep their mouth shut
