Hey they are world cup T20 champions. They can be as much arrogant as they want :) They won 22 out of 24 matches in 2024. Even with under strength team they try to make a match of it.

:Six :4our :4our against Wood by Sundar .

India 113/5 (13 over)

Needs another 53 runs in 42 balls .

:kp

Instances of a player scoring 30+ runs & taking 3+ wickets in an innings against India in T20Is

66* & 4/38 - Dwayne Bravo, Lord's, 2009
72 & 3/34 - Shane Watson, Colombo, 2012
30 & 3/22 - Moises Henriques, Canberra, 2020
31 & 3/22* - Braydon Carse, Chennai, 2025

Archer has possibly cost England the game.

Brainless captaincy. Why did he get the 4th over considering how expensive he was?

I think the difference between the team now is BRAIN lol Man.. this was one of the most predictable brainless shot

Tilak needs to go for this himself

3 sixes

These guys are so dumb today

It's not brainless captaincy to bring back a bowler of Archers calibre at any point in the game.

Your reading of the gaming is brainless

This is Pakistan level dumbness by India with the bat

Axar and Arshdeep

Bishnoi is no mug with the bat. Seen him in ipl. He can hit big if needed. These are not like Venkatesh Prasad and Mohanty of 90’s.

Nick Knight too biased to England

He’s continuously making excuses for everything they do wrong

TEAM IPL have won.

Man of the match: Jofra Archer (4-0-60-1).

Man of the match can also be captain Jos Butler who was dumb enough to give Archer 4 overs.

:qdkcheeky

I still expect India to make a whitewash, Good effort today by England though barring Archer.

India tried everything to lose the match :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Tilak held his nerves.
Yup poor team selection, players missing, openers and seniors missing out with the bat, England striking in the middle overs... That was a proper backs to the wall win

That's a top win. Can't stress enough how tricky this game became
I told you sit and relaxed.

This indian T20 can win any matches from any position. That's the belief i have with them

I never thought at any position that we are going to lose this match although wickets were falling at the regular intervals

This is not even full strength team while england is playing with Full strength.

Bishnoi batting defeinitely came out of syllabus. I know he can score runs. But that was under pressure. India committed harakiri and brought England into the game. Pandya, Axar, Arshdeep they had no business to gift their wickets.

I have seen him in ipl. He is no mug with the bat. He can defend nicely and can also hit some big ones if needed.

This match shows the importance of tail that can bat.
The long batting unit of India saved the day.

I know this is a jibe but IPL last season was a game changer for Indian T20 cricket imo. Haven't seen the team play this positively before.

Chasing scores of 200+ against good attacks have meant no letting up when wickets fall

India clinch a thrilling victory over England in the second T20I, leading 2-0 in the 5-match series

Needing 166 runs for victory, India got out of the blocks quickly again but their openers were undone by some serious pace bowling. Tilak Varma though kept the ante up in the Powerplay and even Suryakumar Yadav got a few boundaries away before getting out. India though were pegged back soon as they went from 58/2 to 78/5 and needed a partnership of some sorts. It was the local boy, Washington Sundar who lended a hand to Varma and the pair got the hosts back in front before the tables turned yet again. India lost wickets in a heap but Varma kept his cool and thanks to a few boundaries got away by Arshdeep Singh and then Ravi Bishnoi, Varma managed to steer his side over the line.

What a finish to the game and Tilak Varma blasts off in celebration and rightly so. The game ebbed and flowed one way then the other but in the end, it is India who have managed to get over the line right at the death and take a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series. But spare a thought for England, they made a match out of this one and were even ahead at one stage but simply couldn't hang on.

India bowled 6 overs of pace and 14 overs of spin. Something I’ve wished Pakistan can do more of against SENA teams at home. Instead of we always feed them pace.

This is not the norm actually. Possibly because it is chennai track. But still this is not a good strategy. India got away if you ask me. Nitish Reddy got injured. Instead they went with local boy Sundar.

Even last game 3 Indian spinners bowled 12 overs of spin. A Patel, R Bishnoi, and
Varun.
Why is it not a good strategy? It’s a GREAT strategy.

It is a lot more fun to watch a 5 match T20I series between 2 even sides than an ODI series anymore.

The future has arrived.
