Is it fair to sack Mickey Arthur but to allow Sarfaraz Ahmed to remain as captain?

I personally think not. Sarfaraz himself is also responsible for our pathetic showing outside the 2017 CT win and in fact his personal form, fitness has been terribly under whelming in the last 3 years.

It was unfair to pin down the entire blame of the last 3 years to Mickey Arthur, Inzy but nothing on Sarfaraz

I think as we settle into this new domestic system and see how Shan, Bavaria, and Harris lead their teams we will see a new captain take the field in the Aussie Test matches. Sarfaraz will get a chance to take his #1 ranked T20 side into next years T20 WC and replaces after. This isn’t entirely unreasonable. He deserves to lead the T20 team into the next WC. Other formats, need a change.

Tbh Sarfaraz does not deserve to be the ODI and T20 captain either

If it was up to I would sack him in all 3 formats. But I can see how the No.1 T20 ranking and Pakistan narrowly missing out on the WC semis could work in his favor. In tests though there is nothing he point to. His record as test captain is terrible and Pakistan lost 2 series in UAE under his captaincy which is simply unforgivable.

I don't think having a foreigner as chief-selector can work. The job of C-S means not just knowing about the domestic circuit but also travelling all over the country to watch domestic games. Misbah will have his work cut out for him.

Don't see how that^ qualifies as him taking back his retirement. Nowhere in the article does he say he was forced into retirement either. He says he didn't see a place for himself in the ODI team which still holds true.

I suggest either re-reading the article or not getting duped by sensationalist headlines that are based on very little substance.
