If scoring against minnows is so easy why did Buttler fail against Ireland yesterday or Rizbar against Zimbabwe today?
An overrated player cannot have 34 innings with an average close to 40 and s/r of 177. He has 50s India, England, west Indies, UAE, australia and SL. He hasn't played in SA, NZ, Bangladesh yet so no 50+ scores there.
He has 50+ scores against England, Australia, SA, WI, SL, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Netherlands.
SKy hits a 6 every 10 balls and a 4 every 6 balls he faces. He hits 3 4s and 2 6s on an average per match whiel maintaining a s/r of 177. He scores a 50+ score once in every 3 matches.
Just because he has failed vs Pakistan will make him overrated or overhyped then I am at loss of words. These stats that have been mentioned are almost superhuman. But you can only see the truth when you remove your prism of bias. If any Pak batsmen had such a record how would you rate him then?
Another important factor to be considered is he isn't an opener where is has 120 balls and take him own sweet time to get going. He comes at 4 with the situation being to go after the bowling from the 1st ball. No wonder he started his t20 international career with a 6 off his first ball of the bowling of Archer.
I have not compared SKY with babar or any other player whilst putting forward his stats. Maintaining 40 avg at 177 s/r isn't easy and he will walk into any team around the world.
