At the last moment I decided to go with wasim instead of abbas. But there winner be a big difference b/w the points of both though wasim will get more points

At one point I had to decide b/w khushdil and Finn. I went for finn and he gave me -20 :)
 
Finn was my captain in Quetta's 1st and he scored 53 but after that he has been a big disappointment though a good innings is due from him now
 
@Shehmir had Faheem Wasim and nabi today along with Hasan. He may give a surprise . But he didn't have Aamir so some offsetting impact.

Same goes for Talat and Mitchel Owen. One performs and other doesn't. So these are very tricky choices
 
It was very very difficult to select the team today. Plus the pitch report said there us heavy grass. So I was shaky in taking rizwan and yasir

Now, it's all of sudden became batting friendly pitch after 10 overs, lol.
 
LQ pacers have done great, they only lacked 1 more pacer. Results would've been different if they had Zaman or some other pacer.
 
The consequences of my decisions has left me deflated and demoralized. Sorry guys but my enthusiasm is gone. Slipping from one to fifth has been tough. šŸ˜”

Likely going to fall further down tonight.

I guess, you've gone for bowlers.
The same thing we've done, so it's a win-win for all for us and nothing to be demoralised. Plus, once you had said "It's marathon, not a sprint".

Appreciate the words of motivation bro. But it can be really deflating when you have so many bad days in a row.
 
The PSL teams, and in particular LQ have played a sick joke on everyone playing fantasy cricket. First match we were expecting the pitch to be flat but instead they just played garbage cricket. Next game we thought pitch would finally play to its true nature. But nah, more horrible batting. Third game they made us think it was going to be a bowling-friendly pitch. But instead the grass is just a facade. Its flat and its a high-scoring game where the bowlers get plundered.

If there is anything I have learned from all this, its that PSL pitches are going to be flat more often than not. Go with a batting heaving playing eleven with some bowlers. If a team plays terrible cricket, they play terrible cricket. But more often than not, PSL pitches in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan will be roads with lots of runs on offer.
 
I was set on including Rizwan in my playing eleven. And at the last moment went with Haris Rauf after seeing the pitch report. So as bad of a day as you guys may have had I doubt any of you did anything like this. Still kicking myself over this decision. Will not be seeing any pitch reports going forward.
Yesterday, I had Finn Allen as captain. That idiot gave me -40. :sarf_facepalm

I didn't have Rizwan.
I could've gone for him, but after pitch report, I went for bowlers instead.

Oh come on!!! You have done great so far. Dont give up. Positions dont matter until the fat lady has sung. We arent even half way through. How can you be sure that those on the top will be able to replicate their performance in the remaining games? There is a lot of luck involved in this game. I have played in many PSLs and the top four five positions can change any time. It just takes 2-3 high scoring games and right picks for everything to change.

Appreciate the kind words bro. I feel a little better after reading this, and feel compelled to not give up. Hopefully my luck changes soon.

Usually im always busy at the time and barely get to set the team. Today for the first time i saw the pitch report and like everyone else it misled me into changing a couple of my picks to bowlers. Also a few of the other picks didn't work out well - Akif especially has been really underwhelming. But overall not a bad day.

Don't worry. The pitch report and the stupid curators confused everyone.
My story is Heart Breaking. I got so confused that whether I should take rizwan and yasir or bowlers bcoz it was grass.

In the end I was left with 4 mix roles. I went for yasir rizwan Mitchell and Billings. But when I selected them I came to know the time is gone.

I'm consistently I top 3. Imagine the pain I would have felt during the entire match
 
For a moment, I though I'm out of top 10. But then I came to know im 401 points above 5th and 878 points above 6th.
Now that Redwood and Gill also got confused and left Rizwan. I think I will be at 4th then

Damn bro. Sorry to hear that. That's actually worse than what I had to go through which was just kicking myself over changing Rizwan and Mitchell at the last second.

Great!!! Even last time in the Champions Trophy i had a very comfortable lead both in terms of points and mods and then a lot of games got rained off, number of mods didnt matter anymore. Even then i was way ahead of the pack and then in the final Shehmir had a great game and edged me by 20 odd points. And PSL is not as bad because as you said earlier its a marathon , you just have to keep going unless its totally hopeless and believe me your position isnt - at least not yet šŸ˜œ

It's my second time playing this, and honestly the first time playing seriously so this definitely helps. I have played fantasy EPL in the past but that's completely different to fantasy cricket as you have 20 teams to choose from. So thanks for these words of wisdom.

Shehmir may be on top 2mro if u didn't have Mitchell and rizwan today. Bcoz he had both.
Plz confirm did u have Mitchell and Rizwan?
 
I am not going to be having any captain for the next few days. Need to save some mods. Atleast for once I won't be pulling my hair for selecting the wrong captain lol. That's the one positive.

Im really enjoying the competition and banter this time. Otherwise, its just two or three people competing and usually not forum regulars.

Again thats more games than have been played! So still a long way to go. Also a lot of mods get wasted becaue not all 22 players perform every day and its not necessary you make the right picks every time so at times 8 mods are as effective as 11. Today i picked chacha (wasn't planning to but then went for an extra pick and had to pick a bat and went for Ifti) and it was a total waste of a mod. So your 140 can be worth as much as my 155. And who knows. Maybe you will have a great second half. There is also a material luck factor in this game.
 
Altough we all are competing for number 1 spot but good to see we all are well wishers of each other.

It's my 3rd time playing here.
I played WC fantasy for the first time here and won it, I didn't even know about cricketweb fantasy then. It was a great competition among me, @amvbfm and some other guy. I used be under top 5 for the first half but at the end I went on winning it. So, it's a long journey, anybody can win.
