For once a fresh pitch played according to the pitch report. Multan batted poorly but commentators described it as a 'WACA-like surface' and Shahzad was clearly enjoying bowling test match line on it with the new-ball. Amir too was right on the money and was unlucky not to get a couple of wickets. Batsmen were generally struggling to cope with the pace and bounce.

Probably should have been an indication for us not to select Usman Khan. He couldn't play pace and bounce if his life depended on it.
