Kenya 92 (Collins Obuya 17, Younis 3 - 18, Alam 2-15, Hafeez 2-19) v Pakistan
Live scorecard and ball-by-ball details
Pakistan, led by its spinners, dismissed Kenya for a paltry 92 in the sixth match of the Twenty20 Quadrangular tournament in Nairobi.
Kenya, who elected to bat, were off to a poor start when Shoaib Akhtar prised out two early wickets; David Obuya caught at second slip by Misbah-ul-Haq and Jimmy Kamande's mistimed pull taken by Salman Butt at mid-on. Umar Gul conceded just one run in his opening two overs to stifle the batsmen.
Tanmay Mishra struck two fours off Akhtar but was deceived by a quicker ball to be trapped in front by Fawad Alam, the debutant left-arm spinner. Kenya were 43 for 5 after Abdur Rehman, also a left-arm spinner, claimed two wickets in quick succession; Thomas Odoyo was stumped by Kamran Akmal after missing the line of the ball and Tony Suji was bowled after a sweep gone wrong.
Alam and Rehman did not concede a single boundary, and Shoiab Malik, sensing the effectiveness of the spinners, brought on Younis Khan and Mohammad Hafeez; both of whom picked up wickets in their first overs. Alex Obanda was stumped by Akmal while Collins Obuya, Kenya's highest scorer with 17, was bowled by Hafeez.
Rajesh Bhudia struck Hafeez over long-on to , but Lameck Onyango was stumped by Akmal off the same bowler. Younis then claimed his second wicket when Budhia missed a slog to be bowled.
Peter Ongondo a six over long-on, but was caught in the deep by Rehman to signal the end of Kenya's innings as Younis finished with career-best figures of 3 for 18.
Meanwhile, Akmal's three stumpings ensured that he broke the world record for the most stumpings in an innings.
