Lol at Tripathi being promoted up the order.. has given a better start though..

Gill is not a T20 player - might not ever play T20I. He is a touch player very good in V, but not enforcer. In T20, he can stay for 20 overs and chase or set 150, max 160 - that's his maximum limit. Whenever he tries to super accelerate, he is getting out - 80 (60) can be his best output, not 59 (24).

Not a finished product yet.

It's his core game that I don't see fits T20, not much to do with experience here - Ken Williamson still is not a T20 big gun, into his 12th year and guy is an exceptionally good batsman. Yes, at his peak, Gill might have 2-3 stellar years in T20, but VVS Laxman also once hit 3 hundreds in one WSC - ODI wasn't his core game, at least not good enough to force his way into that Indian batting line-up.

It's good to see KKR finally got out of that strategy to extract an opener out of Narine & Tripathi did help the course. What I see, KKR is trying to compensate their light batting (depth), by using one lesser known batsman or an a T20 all-rounder as opener & Narine was part of that plot. Had Tripathi failed today, probably KKR would have gone back to Narine - they won't change places for Rana, DK, Morgan & Russell, between 3 to 6.

As I see, Narine is sent at four - may be he is rated more by KKR than his actual batting ability.

Morgan gone , KKR in deep trouble here

KKR will win this game at Sheikh Zayed, around 160 should be enough but they can reach 170 here as Russell is there. And, their attack is among the best; CSK isn't the team either of what they were few years back.

How is it weakened? Narine is playing as a bowler or batsmen? Too many hit and miss players , KKR likely to loose 95 % of their games.

Narine is playing as a bowler. His batting is bonus. If Narine, the bowler isn't delivering, he should be replaced with Ferguson, not with a batsman. Their batting is good enough.

Neither of the two team seems to be impressive today.

One team is led poorly and other is at end of its cycle. KKR is fixable but csk will need to start afresh next season even if they win this IPL.

Agreed. Batsman of his type have to either evolve to KL type LO players or stay true to themselves like KW and succeed in longer formats.

You know the quality is rubbish when the commentator asks the viewers whether a player looks better with or without a beard

Plenty of batting left for CSK. Good to see MSD coming at 4. Game could have been a bit closer if Jadhav would have come in at 4.

Chennai Super Kings need 64 runs in 37 balls

Kedar is true follower of MSD 😂.. defending 3 balls for none when RR is about 12..

They need 39 runs, surely they are looking to finish it in final over lol :yk

What a terrible chase this is. They required 70 runs in 48 balls with 9 wickets in hand and Cummins finished with his spell.

Now they need 36 in 2 overs and five wickets left.

CSK must drop Jadhav, absolutely waste of spot.. he don't bat well and always concede 5+ runs in the field with his weak throw.. even sub can contribute more than that..

Jhadav wow.. can't we played him so long, is he the most useless player we have had compared to other players in the team, ever..

He was backed by Dhoni. MSD always surrounded himself with geriatric players or past the prime players to make himself look young.
