Salman Butt wins the toss and Lahore Whites will have a bat. :butt

Hafeez says Lahore Blues were looking to bowl first anyway. :hafeez2

Lahore whites match to lose! They should win this easily! Want umar akmal to score some runs

What an utter failure is umar akmal. Like I raised the question before, why Lahore Whites presist with him in all matches who made 85 runs in 8 matches. They could've give his spot to any other player but as we all know akmals and corruption/nepotism are cojoined till death.
Not to mention this failure is a platinum category pick for Lahore Qalandar.

What a horrible tournament and horrible final. Pakistan cricket needs to kick these pathetic " seniors " who are and were utmost failures in international cricket.

Kamran Akmal, Salman Butt, Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz.... lack of excitement is understandable.

:))

More seriously, one thing that helped the two Lahore teams reach the finals was their fielding. The previous international experiences of a lot of their players meant they showed more intent in the field, were able to cut off boundaries etc.

The other teams had some very good talent but the lack of intensity in the field cost them dearly.

I really do wish one of FATA or Faisalabad had made the finals.

That said, Lahore Blues have done well in giving youngsters chances- Talat, Agha Salman, Imam Ul Haq. Certain irony in Hafeez giving chances to someone may end up taking his role (Salman).

I'm utterly thrilled that Umar Akmal failed again.

On second thought Lahore Whites is TTF galore. Allah ka shukar hai Hafeez XI is going to smash them.

Shame Agha won't get a chance to bat, but he put in another tight bowling spell for LB today.

From the pictures you'd get the impression that Ahsan Iqbal and Shakeel Shaikh are Lahore Blues team members. :yk2

Salman Butt's innings was the height of selfishness. SR of 105 in a T20 tournament final from an opener may have been acceptable before Butt got himself banned but it sure ain't now.

Yes but wickets were falling all around him so it was a good innings if you look at the context.

Stop giving the guy a hard time in every innings he plays. He has shown character and is an inspiration for youngsters that everyone can learn from their mistakes and hard work pays off.

Tell me whether these Strike Rates are good enough from an opener playing short form cricket:

National T20 Cup 2016 - 102.
National T20 Cup 2017 - 133 (slower than most other openers in the competition like Mukhtar, Rifatullah, Masood, Kamran, Shehzad, Aslam, Khurrum, Israrullah).

Departmental One Day Cup 2016/17 - 65.
Pakistan Cup - 54.

Also, what inspiring character ? He's been whining in the media and throwing hissing fit every time he gets ignored for a recall. The entitlement syndrome doesn't seem to have gone away.
