He averages under 40 in FC with his natural playing style and will probably do the same with this style. He is trying to do whats best for his county side and set the tone for the style of cricket he wants them to play. Why is Shan trying to play bazball? It will definitely affect his natural playing style

Is this not just his standard performance? He's just a very average cricketer who uses his privilege to get opportunities that others can't get.Shan Masood is not in top form in this county season, not showing consistency in his batting. So far, his average is 34.5, which includes only one century and no half-centuries.

Shan Masood's great batting against Indian bowler Siddharth Kaul was very exciting to watch. It showed us what a Pakistan-India Test match could be like.Yorkshire captain Shan Masood led by example, remaining unbeaten on 82 (108) in the second innings on day 3, as his side took control of the County Championship match against Northamptonshire, despite a frustrating rain-shortened day.

It is his second century of the 2024 County Championship, reaching the milestone off 126 balls. Despite showing some nerves in the nineties, he successfully converted his innings into a century.
Here some highlights of his brilliant innings so far:

LoL, Shan has a Test average of 28. I agree he plays exciting brand of cricket but for the opposition bowlers (he is a walking wicket). This is not one good thing but PCB has done many such acts of blatant nepotism. He is rubbish at international level. The one good thing the PCB has done in a very a long time is to appoint Shan Masood as the Test captain. I really hope Pakistan starts playing more tests while Shan is skipper because he genuinely plays an exciting brand of cricket on the pitch and as captain.
The way he got the most out of Aamer Jamal and Agha Salman is something that other duds in the Pakistani camp like Babar and Shaheen can only dream of.

Over the years, we have made one major mistake: repeatedly selecting the same players and somehow expecting them to become better versions of themselves. Once a player is dropped, he should not be reselected until we see clear, visible improvement in the area he was dropped for, sustained over a longer period. For instance, Shan Masood was dropped due to a poor strike rate. He shouldn't be brought back until he has demonstrated significant improvement over at least two seasons. If he continues to bat aggressively in domestic tournaments for the next two years, only then should he be considered for a return. Let him continue to improve and consistently show this improvement.Shan Masood has played a brave innings for Yorkshire against Northamptonshire in the Vitality Blast 2024, remaining unbeaten on 36 off 17 balls at an impressive strike rate of 211.76. Perhaps he could be the solution to Pakistan's middle-order woes in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, potentially replacing Azam Khan

i guess because he had a shocking PSL, but its good to see him back in good formNot sure why we dropped Masood from T20's. He was one of our more reliable and consistent performer in the previous T20 World Cup in Australia.
He has performances to speak than many other raelukuttas ,gully cricketers , with poor fitness ,uncles, panty droppers facing fiery pace bowling etc.Is this not just his standard performance? He's just a very average cricketer who uses his privilege to get opportunities that others can't get.

I can already predict Shan would be such a big failure! And our cricket would further regress! People who are thinking Shan would be the savior of our cricket will have a shocking awakening. The only thing which can save our cricket is structural changes. These superficial changes won’t help!
have u seen sharjeel now? he can better compete in somo with azam khan. The best thing about Masood is he batted at 4 for Yorkshire and didn’t open like he has been doing for Sultans and then Karachi
He is ok for 4 with Babar at 3
Rizwan needs to say goodbye. Sorry, ain’t no way I will approve of a line up such as:
1. Saim
2. Rizwan
3. Babar
4. Shan (c)
Ah hell Na!
1. Fakhar
2. Sharjeel
3. Shan (c)
4. Babar (Maybe)
Looks a lot better without Rizwan there

It's better to try Haris as an opener. He can be as destructive as Sharjeel was.He lost 17kg apparently
He’s fine. Look at the USA left handed opener. Big unit. Boshes the ball

Sharjeel time is over, he will be leftie Azam.
He doesn't even boss it in domestics and leagues now.
I would consider from below options:
1. Saud
2. Babar (he has increased his strike rate over the last year, better than Rizwan and should be more relaxed if not captain)
3. Shan
4. Fakhar (leave him alone at 4, not because he can't bat higher because we have zero middle order options and only one that can attack spin in middle overs)
5. M Haris
6. Haider Ali (can't think of any other options at the moment. He played a couple of okay innings in psl)
7. Aamer Jamal
8. Mehran Mumtaz
9. Nasim
10. Muhammad Ali
11. Abrar (if spin wicket else Abbas)
Backups:
Saim, Usama Mir, Ihsanullah, Zaman, Hurraira, Abdullah Shafiq, Haseebullah, Qasim Akram
Rest/drop Haris, Shaheen, Rizwan, Imad, Chacha, Amir, Azam, Usman, for indefinite period.
Bowling will become weaker than current t20 side but there should be no conflicts in team and its building for future. Over time can reconsider Shaheen and Haris if needed.
