Shahid Khan Afridi has won more man-of-the-match awards in limited-overs cricket than any other Pakistani. His tally of 30 awards (24 in one-day internationals and another six in T20 internationals) is ahead of all the other greats our country has produced, including Inzamamul Haq (24 awards), Wasim Akram (22), Javed Miandad (19), Mohammad Yousuf (18), Waqar Younis (17), Younis Khan (14) and Imran Khan (13). If that doesn’t convince you of Afridi’s true significance, nothing will.

Afridi is an allrounder. It's much more easier for him to get MOTM awards.
e.g
Pak win the match.
Inzi gets 50. Afridi gets 30 and 2 wickets (or 40 and 1 wicket).
Afridi gets MOTM award.
I think you forgot that he is the greatest player of all time.
Rookie mistake
Then check afridi performances in all mom awards.

and then he threw it away
Man of the match is given to a player who play a match winning role, 30 runs and 2 wickets > 50 runs is no criteria.
Afridi also holds to the record for being a persistent douchebag for the longest period of time and still going strong).
One stat, if it can be somehow tallied, I'd like to see is the success rate he had when he was presented with a situation to win the match for Pak and he delivered. I'd eat my hat and give a full-fledge smooch a 90 yr old grandma if he ranks anywhere close to the top in that ranking.

Even in 2011. Whoa. You have maintained some consistency. Although, today may be the last day of your job. By the way, was this a paid job?5th on the list. The guys ahead of him have all retired so shouldn't be a problem when he returns.
I always thought it was a 37 ball century.
Exactly! All throughout my childhood I always believed it was 37 balls as stated by the news and other publications but why is cricinfo reporting it 40 deliveries? Is that a typo or were we literally believing in folklore all this time?
Is there any chance that he dint score for 2 deliveries after getting century and got out the third ball?
So as of today, does he hold any actual record?
His fastest 50 and 100 runs record has been bettered and i dont think he has made any real record since then.
Other then records pertaining to his longevity in pak cricket i am curious if there are still any personal records on his name
I was planning on writing a piece on Lala this morning so I started messing around with 'statsguru' (on Cricinfo) & I found it incredibly weird that Afridi's previous fastest century record which I had always come to believe was from 37 deliveries was stated to be of 40 balls - is this true? or has cricinfo completely lost it???

Assuming you are asking for first ball zero, Afridi has never been out on first ball.
