Can't wait for the new season to start. Exciting times

Pre season tour coming up, we play city in one of the games should be interesting Jose v Pep!!

seems like the team would be this

----------De Gea--------------

Darmian---Smalling---Baily---Shaw

--Schnerderlin/Mensah--Pogba---

Henrikh------Rooney------Martial

---------Ibrahimovic----------

If you guys can't get on Twitter, it's because the Pogba confirmation by L'Equipe has broken Twitter!

Twitter has crashed thanks to United and Pogba!

In two months, we have brought in:

Jose Mourinho
Eric Bailly
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Zaltan Ibrahimovic
Paul Pogba

All of this without even having CL football to offer. Incredible.

Hats off to Lord Edward Woodward!

Got to credit United and Jose even without CL football they have signed big names Pogba and Mikhi are treffic signings ..not sure about zlatan but he is still an upgrade ...Jose was correct wenger definitely is a specialist in failure with a loser mentality...Wenger is a Joke so is our board ...Arsenal definitely need to sign Couple of big names to calm down the fans ... I see jose having alot of respect for Arsenal but he hates Wenger and thats the way to go...

Man Utd also won't be paying a cent to Pogba's agent. Woodward really is a genius.

Excellent opening game performance, especially considering our troubles away from home the last couple years.

Getting out of the block early and winning the first 2/3 games will be very important this season. More of the same on Friday please!

Will be interesting to see whether Zlatan,Pogba,Henrikh and Bailly can do it in the big games.

Is Rooney still considered a fan favourite? Because honestly, dropping Casillas made the fans pretty angry.

Rooney is not a fan favourite, believe me. There would be celebrations if he was dropped. He's only a favourite of the media and the stories he leaks to them.

Rooney was pretty decent yesterday and thats quite a good sign considering he starts seasons pretty awfully.

Secondly to drop him you only have Henrikh to come in, i would have Mata dropped anyday over Rooney.

Don't think Rooney ever was a fan favourite.

Thought so. :))

I feel Mata would work so much better in the CAM role behind Zlatan, with Martial and Henrikh on the left and right, with Schneiderlin & Pogba behind him.

Solid performance from United but that's to be expected from a Mourinho team. The real test will be how United fare against the top teams, already we are seeing signs of more verticality and Pogba will bring that drive from midfield that has been lacking for a long time.

Must say that Bailly looks like an amazing prospect and he will surely develop into a great player, very similar to Zouma at Chelsea. No signs of Rashford yet, looks like Jose will start him in cup competitions or Europa League games in order to provide him with necessary European experience.

Are United fans happy so far with Mourinho, what are the areas that need to be improved upon?

Fellaini, Bailley and Blind are really playing amazingly under Mou. Pogba had a great match today and is justifying that big price tag of his. Zlatan played great, can see him running through teams every week. Rooney and Mata also played decently. This season is already turning out to be immensely fun and exciting.

Two dominating performances to start the season, I'm very happy. Obviously the three boys making their OT debut done extremely well and Pogba showed exactly what he can bring to us.

I'd like to focus on some of the unsung heroes, Valencia, Fellaini and Blind. Blind is playing so well that Smalling has a fight on his hands for his place in the team and it seems Jose has rejuvenated Valencia back to his 2010-2012 days and getting performances out of Fellaini I've never seen.

Top of the table, let's hope we can next week also away to Hull.

4 goals in 3 games for the big man. I love Zlatan. Pogba was also quite decent on his debut and he is the kind of player we have needed for ages and I'm delighted that we have got him. Baily looks like a proper CB and for 30m he is kind of a bargain in this day and age of excessive spending. I would like to see HK start in the next game but Mata has been quite good so don't think Jose will drop him.

I'm delighted with the way we have started so far and Jose seems to be turning our fortunes around. We honestly should have got him after SAF and he was available too but unfortunately we went for Moyes who was never good enough for the job. Then we went for LVG who was past his prime but we finally got the right man 3 years later and I'm quite optimistic about the season ahead.

Good you point that out, whole squad is playing well. Add Rooney and Mata, never seen Mata play like this for us before, obviously his place is under threat and he is fighting for it. Also good to see Rooney rejuvenated and playing like his young days again.

Whole team is performing well, now i will like to see the rest, Depay, Scheneriderlin, Smalling, Rashford, Lingard,

Watching Schneiderlin, would be interesting, im hoping Jose can make him the player he was at Southampton, intercepting, breaking up play and pressing.

Very important game this weekend, we have to win, keep the momentum going and keep the feel good factor going into the derby against City on the 10th.

Some outstanding signings made so far for them. Ibrahimovic is still a high quality player and looking forward to Pogba and Baily as a football fan. They have to be successful for the English and global game.

Big game this weekend and should be a great indication of where we actually stand

I dont think we'll get over the line and win the match but hoping to stuff City in the midfield

Pogba's first big match!

Bailly what a signing so far

People are saying he's expensive and whatnot but 30 mn pounds is what the prevailing market rate is and its better to accept that than put your head in the sand

He is just 22-23 so he should easily end up as a United great if all goes well

He's cheaper than Mustafi, Luiz, Otamendi, Mangala & Stones.

ROFL. After all the talk about Mourinho. Where was £100m Pogwaas?

Disappointing loss. Pogba, Ibra, Blind, Mkhi were all horrible today. Also not sure why Lingard started over Martial. He's simply not good enough for the first team.

Don't think we deserved anything from the game. Season will be good as long as mourinho realises quickly;

1 if pogba is going to be as indisciplined as he was , fellaini alongside him is not going to work
2 Ibra can only play 60 minutes a game now
3 Rooney should not be an auto starter. Rashford and martial are ready.

I know it's sill early days but Pogba hasn't impressed me at all. I think he is overrated by most United fans and I think we massively overpaid for him.

Give him some time bhai he is adapting to what jose wants. I agree he is ovverated but don't write him of competley yet.

Not writing him off but we did overpay for a player who is still only potential and not world class.

I don't understand why Mou insists on playing Herrera. He doesn't belong in the PL, he's more suited for some low tier club in Spain. The wingers are not doing their job, Mata is horrendous and a waste of space. Martial has been playing like crap all year long, maybe it has to do something with his divorce. As for Pogba, don't write him off yet, he's gonna slowly settle in.

Why is Bastian being ousted? He is a world cup winner and is a winner. He is better than Fellani, Herrera, Morgan and Rooney and yet Jose is treating him like crap. Honestly I hate Jose and that's the reason I didn't want him as our manager.

United may turn this game around by my God jose has a big job on his hand here. A number of players arent good enough or don't fit his style and we know how he likes to throw his players under the bus. This season united haven't been as impressive as there results show. Had Southampton been more clinical and had hull shown a bit more concentration, you wouldn't have the points you have now.

Can remember United fans on this forum and other forums saying pep would get found out in the premier league, well atm there's only one manager getting found out atm.

Bastin
Schniderlin
Carrick
Mata
Darmain
Jones
Rojo
Blind

These players José doesn't rate

Young
Fellani
Valencia
Lingard
Aren't good enough for untied. Zlatan and Rooney are coming to the end slowly slowly. Jose has a big job on his hands. Think you will finish in the top 4 jose isn't the saviour you were looking for. Well not instantly

I was at the game today (got a free ticket). I support united but had to sit in the watford end with my watford supporting friends. So disappointing. On the plus side, Steven Finn (and his girlfriend/wife) were sitting right in front of us .

Still can't get around the fact that you signed Pogba for £89 million!! I don't think you're gonna have a good season. I am not a fan of Mourinho's brand of Football.

I'm a united fan and I think it was a waste of money. However, in the first half he done an amazing shot which had amazing dip and nearly went in. I was sitting behind that and we all expected it to fly over but he almost scored a screamer. Atmosphere was good I was in the watford end though. Steven Finn was in front of me

Rooney is finished as a player, words cannot describe the pathetic display he put on.

The press is finally turning on Rooney!! Tears in my eyes!

The team won't move forward until he's dropped/leaves. Constantly shifting formations to fit him in, dropping and shifting other players positions to ensure captain fantastic is happy.

Stealing a living, he's been crap for the past 2/3 seasons. Can't control the ball, can't pass, can't shoot.

Oh wow. One sreamer which somehow justifies his crap performances. He is overrated and we massively overpaid for him.

You keep on criticising Herrera yet he was the only who was good against City and decent against Feyernood yet he doesn't even get a chance against Watford. Why don't you criticise the overrated Pogba?

4-0 up against the foxes, 3 goals from corners.

In the last 1 and a half game(s) against Chelsea and Man Utd, the Foxes have conceded 4 goals from corners.

That's ridiculous, it almost like your watching someone play Fifa 14. :)))

Man Utd looked far better without Rooney. Don't know the obsession of playing him, he's so incredibly overrated.

First time after a really long time I have seen United decimate teams like this in first half.. Reminds me of ronaldo Rooney tevez etc times..

I criticize Herrera cause he's just not good enough for the first team. This is the same man who has 0 caps for the Spanish national team. I would much more prefer Carrick or Fellaini over him in the midfield. As for Pogba, he's shown what he can do when Shrek isn't bogging him down.

You are probably the most clueless United fan I've ever come across. It's funny how you waited till the Leicester game to reply to my post. I bet if United didn't win and Pogba didn't play well, I would still be waiting for a reply from you. Pogba is 90m player. He has no excuse to not play well. I'm sick of Rooney being made the scapegoat for all of United problems. Yes, he is part of the problem but is he the only problem? No way.

As for Herrera, the only reason why he hasn't played for Spain is because they have had a factory of world class midfielders over the last decade. Herrera is a decent player. I don't think he is good enough to be in the starting 11 every week but he is more than capable of being a squad player. You need decent squad players in your team. We had many during Sir Alex's reign as well. The fact that you think Fellani is better than him shows either your bias or lack of footballing knowledge.

Rooney will always be made a scapegoat due to his image.

FACT is that it was Herrera playing instead of Fellaini that made the difference in the Leicster game.

I hate how Rooney is always made the scapegoat. The fact is that most of our players aren't as good as we think they are and neither are the managers we have had in the last three years. We should be smashing this team 5-0 or something yet we have only managed 5 shots in the match with just one on target.

The guy is finished and the quicker we get rid of him and his leaks to the media, the better.

No time for sentimentality, especially when you're on £300K a week and you've been stinking up the joint for the past 2 seasons. It's sickening seeing the support for him from his ex team mates, who do the likes of Scholes, Rio and Phil Neville care for more? The club or Rooney? Savage on commentary basically saying Rooney meant the assist :))

He's holding us back, just as Fellaini does when he plays. Both should only be used as impact players for the rest of this season and then sold.

Ohh Herrera, now has opinion changed about him?

He looks like the new Roy Keane, mopping up at the back and getting forward.

Jose has made United so boring to watch. Bring back LVG. At least he did well against big teams.

Well, it was an ugly game where Jose parked the bus somewhat, (and there was a lot of kick and run, long balling, etc.) but I'm getting the impression that United, as a team, will be happier at the outcome of the game than Liverpool.

A 0-0 draw at Anfield against an in-form Liverpool side is not bad. However, I barely saw any good attacking play from United, so I guess that should be a matter of concern for fans.

Well its because Jose understands one thing that you dont, boring football with a result is better than exciting football and losing.

As for LVG he would have been battered today, so thank god hes gone.

No, LVG always did well against big teams. He struggled to break down the smaller teams. Jose is past it and watch us not get champions league football this year despite spending so much.
